- Hi Folks, on this video, I am going to show what I believe is the biggest gamechanger EVER for Days Gone. Never before has it been possible to get from Cascade to Iron Butte, AT THE VERY START OF THE GAME. Once you get to Copeland's Camp, you get the chance to explore, and on this video. I show every step in getting Deacon all the way to Iron Butte to pick up 2 fantastic weapons (US556 & MG45). Having these to take on Days Gone's world around 40 minutes after reaching Cope's camp for the first time is an insane game changer. Getting your first 4 horde kills to get the SMP9 now becomes an easy affair. Every situation you now face from the start of the game becomes instantly very manageable indeed. This video wouldn't have been possible without 2 amazing RUclipsrs inputs. Greyghost Gamerz & PS5Secrets, you are both legends for what you have shown, thank you so much. I hope everyone enjoys this video, and Days Gone is well and truly destroyed in terms of difficulty now.

I've just tried to make the route more doable for the masses with a few well placed route markers. More is coming Violet, as I will do a video showing the full route to the South, as more than Just a Superior Metal Axe can be obtained there, lol.
Whoa, just when you thought you’d seen it all…This isn’t just a game changer, it’s a game breaker! But that’s OK, it gives people options. I can handle any gameplay difficulty at this point, but I’ll be doing this more for novelty purposes than anything else. Can’t wait to see how this may impact certain game missions
I did hint that I would do a video where I go all the way to the South, and it will now be happening. The only thing I originally though I could get my hands on is the Superior Metal Axe, but mate, there's something else there that is another game changer, so I will reveal all in my next video.
There are also some very nice weapons/supply caches in lost lake and iron butte. Grenades, prox mines, and so forth that would come in handy early game.
You are so right my friend. Lost Lake & Iron Butte has some cracking areas. Only drawback at this stage in the game though, is you will be limited to 3 of each item, as it takes a bit of time to unlock the CARRY THAT WEIGHT skill.
@@borislav247 Just curious, will the Iron Butte ambush camps unlock with unlocking Lost Lake, or do you have to wait until Iron Butte normally unlocks to access those?
@@JBost-en9tq You actually have to wait until the Iron Butte region is properly unlocked. Before then, both ambush camps here are empty & you simply can't open them. But, the ambush camps in the South are all available to take on. In an upcoming video, I will show how to get to the South.

GG is the man Anton. He found the way out of Cascade, so this game is now wide open to a lot of things, lol. More will be shown soon, as the route to the South (which I haven't yet showed, but GG has), now offers more than just the Superior Metal Axe. That's all I'm saying for now my friend.
@@borislav247 you can almost take on and out all ambush camps except for iron butts the rippers camps they have not spawned in yet.
I saw the length of the video that you did not go for the master baseball bat axe the best melee weapon in game in crater lake but grey ghost showed us how to get there also. I did the world round tour in three in game days but that was because I did bot use your markers and got lost also my fuel got empty on some occasions so I had to run for a fuel dispenser. also I took out all ambush camps except for the rippers in iron butte like I wrote earlier. But when I do this again I should mark on the map like you did.

@@Imago900 Honestly mate, didn't seem worth it at first, but I wasn't considering the bigger picture here. The next video I release(not including my extreme playthrough ones) is going to be an ultimate early start video, to get an insane start on the game by deviating from Cascade for the first 1.5 hours. By following what I show, you can return back to Cascade with a setup that will make you OP for virtually the entire game. That's what I'm working on right now mate.

I'm not surprised you were shaking when getting the video done, you're the man that discovered the exit route from Cascade, to create the biggest game changer EVER in Days Gone. I would have been nervous too, lol. You're like me with the commentary also. It takes me many retakes to get out what I want to say, as I always make mistakes, but you're videos are always on point my friend. After taking trips over to the South, I will definitely now be doing a video on this, as the Superior Metal Axe is nice, but combined with something else I intend on showing, the South will help create the ultimate setup starting platform, which I will have fun showing. I can't thank you enough my friend, and you've set the bar so high with you're last video, no pressure on the next one my friend, lol. And finally GG, people will be watching your videos for a long time to come.

I just had to do this video after watching GG's. He has been instrumental in creating this game changer. I just wanted to make the route a tad easier to follow, so the masses can get stuck into this.

Out of curiosity, what kind of reception would Deek get at Lost Lake camp, if he rocked up at this point in the game? 😂
Not that much mate. There are people there, but Blair is nowhere to be seen, so you can't restock on ammo. All the main characters like Iron Mike, Rikki, Skizzo & Addy are also nowhere to be seen.

I do have some questions. 1.- At any time while doing these glitches and rock climbing, can you press save on the bike in case you die? And will it put you back in the same spot? Or will it take you back to Copelands camp?. 2.- Now you have those weapons and are back to Cope's camp, can you buy ammo and silencers for them? 3.- Why won't they save in your safe/locker for future use? Is it because they're not purchased? 4.- After being back to Cope's camp with the new weapons, you save the game. What happens if you die? Do you lose the weapons and do you keep spawning with them? 5.- Are you able to pick up ammo throughout the game for these guns being that you techhave not unlocked them yet? Right mate, here's the answers for you, 1. Not 100% sure on this one, but if you make a game save, it should start you back at that save point, but if it doesn't, simply load up that save. Lots of people usually save the game before making the leaps of faith of the invisible boundaries. 2. Yes, you can buy ammo & silencers for the weapons. 3. You actually answered this one yourself, it's because you didn't purchase or unlock the weapons. 4. The game will start you at the last save point, and you won't lose any of the weapons. 5. You can pick up ammo for these weapons as normal. But the only thing you can't do, is purchase ammo from the lockers for them, as the weapons are not in your locker. Hope all this helps mate.

I watched GGG's run through last night and had a go myself. I didn't bust myself back to first bike, I just took my tricked out bike across. Soooo just had a thought while I was watching this. Could you go plant some little goodies for the breaker??? Would they still be there for that mission? Probably not, but it did pop into my mind. 🤣🤣 I KNEW IT!! I knew you'd want to take out the Iron Butte horde. To be perfectly honest I'm shocked you didn't. 😂
Honestly TW, I should have took out the horde, but I just wanted to save a bit of time on the video. And I can answer that other question definitively, you most certainly can plant some goodies for the breaker. I've not released the video on this one yet, but it will be released soon after my extreme playthrough is finished. And I show a run where I exploit getting over there early, it's a lot of fun to watch, lol.

Thanks for clearing up the point on not being able to use the Iron Butte Nero checkpoint fast travel until Lost Lake is unlocked. Still, having those two weapons will greatly speed up the early game (especially in taking out the first four hordes for that SMP9 unlock). 🙂

So i did it. Turns out that if you getvthe us556 early game then the mag upgrade is available from tuckers at level 3 even though you didn't buy it. Stash goes to tucker then.
Ambush camps in iron butte are not populated but the lost lake ones are ready to go, as are the infestation zones.
Last video you said you were on vacation but the weather wasn't nice. By keeping you locked inside you came up with a gem of a video. Great tutorial ! Now I just hope the weather will co-operate so that you and your family may enjoy yourselves.
Weather has been crap my friend, but gave me a full day to make this bad boy. I'm delighted I managed to simplify the journey from Cascade to Lost Lake, as without any markers, it can be a tough one (I speak from experience here my friend), and I wanted everyone to have a good chance of making this. GG & PS5S are fantastic for what they have done, and I'm eternally grateful to these guys for what they have both shown. The exploiting of the game is not done yet for me my friend. Just wait till you see my next video I release involving regions, and you'll see just how much you can actually set up ridiculously early. It's going to be fun FM.

Worked great! I had a little trouble placing the markers between the Cascades and Lost Lake because I had already unlocked Lost Lake. I fell through the map a couple of times, but I had saved and didn’t lose any progress! Thanks for the info. It worked!

Awesome Boriislav, I saw GG'S vid a few days ago but found it a bit tricky to grasp withh the 'edge of the world black hole thing, in the mountains where the snow looks wierd. I got a bit lost comprehending how he avoided the edges. But yourr version seems a bit more visually 'do-able' when you see just one glitch. There's no snow in your run which seems to make it visually easier to spot the route safely. Love your channnel and vids buddy keep up your amaazing and helpful work.

Brilliant. If you had taken on the Iron Butte Hoard you would have acquired the ears, but I’m guessing no trust points for completing the mission which I assume would have come later.
I’m pretty sure if you kill the horde before the mission there is no confirmation or notification, and they will respawn when it’s mission time!
I’ve killed the Iron Butte horde before the mission and while it’s true you don’t get the confirmation, as long as you get all 300 they won’t respawn. And when you get to the actual mission it “completes” right away. I’ve also killed the Sawmill Horde before the mission, same thing
@@VioletJones1999 Just out of interest when does the Sawmill mission appear? To the best of my knowledge that doesn’t happen between Rikki introducing you to the hoard and you leaving for Crater Lake.
@@jonathanrees3401 The Sawmill Horde is available to take on as soon as you reach Lost Lake via the regular game progression. The mission itself doesn’t appear until the end of the game. So if you take them out early you can’t see that you’ve actually cleared the horde until that story mission comes up near the end. Sometimes, for fun, I’ll go take out the Sawmill Horde as soon as I get to Lost Lake before I even do the first story mission. In fact you don’t even have to start the first story mission right away. You can explore Lost Lake and clear all the Ambush Camps and Infestation Zones before you even do the first story mission. In fact, 3 out of the 6 Hordes that are in Lost Lake (excluding the Sawmill Horde) are unlocked as soon as you get to Lost Lake so if you’re feeling extra bold, you could take them out as well! They are the Westfir Horde, the Wapinitia Road Horde, and the Berley Lake Horde.

I've been extremely late to the Days Gone party having only just played through it for the first time in June (best 12 quid I've ever spent in CEX aha). I played on Hard 1 and had an absolute blast, putting in over 85 hours and grabbing the platinum - but atill feeling like i have way more fun to have. I didn't look up any tips before/while playing, so my early game was nowhere near as optimal as it could be - avoiding hordes for much longer than needed meaning i didnt get to enjoy the Horde Killer weapon rewards until really late in the story/after the story. I'd have done so many things differently in hindsight while also cleaning up Hordes earlier to grab the weapon rewards.
Even though its only been about 5 or 6 weeks since i completed that first playthrough (and tidied up all the hordes), I've already been itching to get back into a second playthrough. I have no intetest in NG+ cause starring out weak, and slow progression is something i really enjoy, and hate restarting games overpowered.
Well, after seeing this video pop up on my feed yesterday, i started my second playthrough last night (Hard 2 this time, more spongy enemies but keep my hub), and thanks to you I've grabbed these two beast weapons straight away 😁 thanks mate. You've got a new sub now from a fellow Scot 🏴 ps, where are you from? Your accent is similar from my mate who's from Elgin, but you might be from the North East? Anyway, keep up the great work and I've got a whole bunch of your videos to catch up on 👊🏻
Firstly Chris, thank you for the sub, and absolutely delighted to hear you played the game the right way on your first playthrough by not checking on anything. You get robbed of so many surprises & shocks when you do that, and this game deserves to be played with no prior knowledge. And I'm from the South West mate. Think Gretna Green, (most famous bit in this area) and that's close to where I'm from.

I used your method and got to Iron Butte. Great stuff 👍🏻 one place you didn’t visit but you should have was the reservoir. I visited there and I was surprised to note that the game not only lets you explore that side of the map including the pre flooded golf course, there are scrap, gun powder etc to get! I recorded my reservoir adventure. Should I upload it and share with everyone?

Omg, I was driving around the Hotsprings area trying to get into Iron Butte cuz I didn’t want to wait until I got to Lost Lake and just could nit get through. Must have fallen off the bike 50 times. 2 days later this comes out . Huzzah !
Indeed. That was where I was looking around also. Never occurred to me that there was a way from Cascade to Lost Lake, but GG found a way. I made the route a damn sight easier with some clever markings for the route, but Greyghost Gamerz is the star with the final piece of the puzzle that has truly broke this game in terms of difficulty.

I’ve already beaten days gone, twice. The first time I ever beat it I did it with your help, that sounds so bad lmao. Anyway, so now I am going on defeating the game for a third time but this time all I did was reset all of the camps hoards and infestations. I wish there were a way to reset The storyline also yet, keep the same weapons. so basically reset the whole game but keep the weapons I have that would be awesome. I probably watch more of your videos during gameplay than anybody else’s.

Ya know now I'm curious, because you're not supposed to be in this area this early on, does the game even have a barrier to the south? Because if it doesn't, if we can somehow ride above the teilsen tunnel we might be able to get to the south and potentially get the superior metal axe.

Yes at the Ripper camp in south Iron Butte you can climb a rock wall and head to Wizard Island area.
Got to be honest mate, I've been testing the route to the South, and once you know the route, it's very doable. Only thing that stopped me from doing a video on that yet, is that I thought it was a lot of work just to get the Superior Metal Axe. However, turns out there is something in the South that DOES make it worthwhile, so you'll see this in a future video my friend.

I'd been looking myself for years -- not on any official level, but I've played Days Gone about 15 times from start to finish and I always found myself curious to know if a route could be possible to get from Cascade to Lost Lake. I tried so many different places (like you, Boris, up in Belknap and different ways there of trying to get into the ambush camp in Iron Butte, and from there to the region itself) but nothing ever worked and I resigned myself to the reality that it just wasn't possible.
This is amazing! It makes me want to start yet another playthrough. Is it possible to take out enough hordes to get the MG55, though? Or do not enough hordes spawn for that?
Well, very interesting question SD, and the answer goes beyond this video. from Cascade, you CAN actually get all the way over to the South (I show this in my latest video "The Ultimate early start guide, all regions accessible") and in the South, there are 6 hordes you can take out. Because of this, if you destroy all these hordes, then head back to Cascade to start going through the missions, you can actually get the MG55 unlocked in the Lost lake region (as all the remaining hordes in Cascade & Belknap unlock when you reach this region) if you are taking out all the hordes in each region when they are available. A long winded answer, but I hope this helps mate, and check out the new video, as it goes a bit beyond this one.

@@0SnakeDoctor Truthfully SD, the routes to the different regions were discovered by @PS5Secrets & @greyghost gamerz. I simply took all this a bit further, as I realized the potential of what could be done once all these regions were accessible.

Nice work Boris. I tried to get through from Tucks area with no luck, but this looks fairly easy. Have you tried opening up the ambush camps and achieving the crafting skills?
I have indeed mate. No Ambush Camps are occupied in Iron Butte, so they can't be opened. Not sure about the 2 in Lost Lake (I need to check these, but I suspect they will be empty also). But, interestingly, If you go all the way to the South (I have a video coming at some point for this), the ambush camps there ARE occupied, and they can be opened. The skills get unlocked as normal mate.
@@borislav247I can confirm that both the Berley Lake Ambush Camp and the Deerborn Ambush Camp are both available to take on and clear! In fact, if you drive by them, their location shows up on the map and then appear in the Storylines under Ambush Camp Hunter, so they can be selected! You can also clear all the infestation zones if you know their locations. I already have Level 1 trust at Iron Mike’s without even doing the first storyline mission in the game! Madness 😂 Also important to note, there is no option to sleep at your bunk in Lost Lake but if you’ve opened up one of the NERO locations, you can sleep and advance time there. Also, you mentioned this but no Blair so you can’t buy ammo or supplies but the Gun Locker is in your cabin if you need to buy ammo. Also, you may have mentioned this already but Joe is not there so you can’t trade in bounties and the kitchen isn’t open. The only thing open is the mechanic but strangely, Buzz himself is not there but you can still upgrade your bike, get gas, repair, etc! And all the other NPC’s are there who are just hanging around.
@@VioletJones1999 Some great info here Violet. Like yourself, I've been doing a lot of research with all these regions. One you mentioned is a biggie. You are severely limited to where you can sleep (no beds available in Lost lake, Diamond Lake or Wizard Island camps) , but, the Nero sites when opened DO allow this. The only vendor that is available is at Wizard island (I'll make him a quadtrillionaire, lol), and as you rightly said, no bountys or foods can be traded anywhere outside of Cascade & Belknap. All the mechanics ARE available to get items, but of course, you require jobs to earn credits. None are available, but there are other ways to get credits for these camps. I'm stockpiling all this info for the next big video, and I hope you enjoy it when it's released Violet. this game is blown wide open now, lol.
@@borislav247 Yes, I had previously travelled to the South via Iron Butte using your and GGG’s videos and noticed the vendor situation there. But here’s another thing that I found out today as I’m continuing on this playthrough and going to Lost Lake before you’re supposed to. I pretty much did everything I could in Lost Lake for now - cleared the 2 Ambush Camps, cleared all the Infestation Zones, and did the 3 hordes that are available as soon as you get to Lost Lake (minus the Sawmill Horde) and opened the two NERO locations. Before heading back to the Cascades I rescued a few survivors and sent them to Iron Mike’s for more trust. Now that I’m back in the Cascades (I haven’t even gone to Belknap yet), rescuing survivors in the Cascades gives you the option to send them Copeland’s or to Iron Mike’s! Normally you don’t get the option to send them to Iron Mike’s until you get to Lost Lake via the normal story progression! More trust for Iron Mike’s! Yay!

@@borislav247 Even if you don't want to head all the way south for the Metal Axe, if you head up to the trail that Skizzo & Deacon take to get from Lost Lake into Iron Butte, you'll find a camp off to the side of that trail with some military supplies, and a Ripper Axe, being an oar with spikes embedded in each side. It's durability isn't great, but it hits hard!

Correction. After doing a couple of missions last night, I was able to confirm the Ripper Axe has the same durability as the Machete, while doing slightly more damage, maybe 15% more.

These 2 guys are absolute legends TD, and GG especially with the final piece of the puzzle in finding the way out from Cascade to Lost lake, which effectively created the biggest EVER Days Gone game changer. On a future video, I am going to show a setup sequence that will create the most powerful starting platform ever seen, in order to destroy this game with ease from the very start. This is the start TD, I'm going further with the potential exploits of the regions, lol.

What happens if you go to Iron Mike's? Are they there? Do they react?
if you go over to the Lost Lake camp, there are people there, but not that many. There are guards at the entrance, and a few people walking about inside with guns. But the main characters, are nowhere to be seen. Iron Mike, Skizzo, Rikki & Addy are not around at this point.
I’m curious about something now and maybe you can investigate it. What happens if you grab both weapons as you showed and just let the other rippers kill you? Would the game respawn you back in Cascade and save you the trouble of having to drive back?
Absolutely brilliant question mate, and here's the answer. If you die, you go back to the last save point that the game created. Once you reach Iron Butte, the game is automatically generating a game save. So unfortunately, you can't die then return with the weapons, impossible to do. But I loved how you were thinking with this question.
Cascade and Hotsprings would be a breeze after getting this 2 weapons.
They will be indeed, and I intend on showing something in the near future that will create the ultimate early setup (I go further with the regions), that will make every player unstoppable from within 1 hour, of leaving Copelands camp for the first time.

I love Days Gone . It is so underrated! So much better than TLOU and horizon zero interest and God of war! I'm sick of the same shit over and over. Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima are PlayStation best exclusives and the most deserving of sequels imo

I actually haven't, but apparently, the sentry guards make light work of any hordes that get near them.

@@squidward06 You should be absolutely fine my friend. Not 100% certain yet, but I will confirm this next year as I will be doing a full playthrough where I destroy Days Gone in what I consider to be the easiest way to tackle it ever, and of course, I will be motoring through the regions early to set up for insane success. This playthrough will be as close to a full playthrough tutorial as you will ever get, especially as I will have EVERYTHING available to use on this one (unlike what I am showing now, lol).

I've increased my Hot Springs Camp trust to level 2 and was thinking of buying on of the guns BUT I'm afraid it will cause me to lose these weapons...??? I can't recall if you have to equip purchased weapons or if they auto equip...?
Any purchased weapons can be armed straight away, and from then on, they will always be available to you from the locker. You're 2 new weapons unfortunately are not, as they weren't purchased or unlocked.
@@borislav247 Right, I just can't recall if they are _automatically_ equipped or not. I just realized there's a very simple way to answer my own question: Save. Buy. Check. Reload save if necessary! Sigh, I can't believe the things my brain struggles with sometimes 😮💨😁 It's not my fault tho! I was having seizures for some reason for a while & my memory & brain haven't been the same since...which is very convenient moments like this when I need an excuse for being a bit slow 😂🤣

lol everyone makes videos about these glitches now btw the Best way is to just buy save wizard with it and community made cheats you can mod lots of stuff in the game theres even starter saves you can use and it's very fun especially modding how much ammo you can carry how big your clips are infinite silencer and much more
I've dabbled with some of the PC mods for Days Gone, but I would never use save wizard mate. But thank you for watching, most appreciated.
New player here. Are these considered the best weapons in the game?
Not the absolute best, but they are right up there. Not that many are better than the US556 & the MG45. It's insane to have them to use so early in the game.

I doubt it will be patched. The game is 5 years old now and there have been no updates (at least on the console version) since 2021 I believe.
