Simon as Griswald is so fucking good. Lewis' character even sounds a bit like him, adding to the whole feel of their relationship and it's great to see Barry building in confidence and making some great amusing additions. Great job as always Tom! This series has the makings of a classic already, laughed aloud on several occasions!

Sjin said on Reddit that he was tired cos he was pushing himself too much (ya know, January and everything) and his diet was also affecting him. Also said he should be better this coming Friday.

Souren Trex Well January has the lowest ad revenue for RUclips so RUclipsrs get less money, meaning they have to work hard budgeting and so on. As well as January being known to be the most depressing month after the festive season, often because people struggle getting back into the schedule of work.

They could have replaced Sjin with a cardboard cutout at any point after the character creation and you wouldn't notice

So, what I can gather is that Simon likes to play the intellectual, Sjin is the eccentric, Lewis is the seedy lowlife, and Harry is the heavy.
You are right, although I feel like there is a better word than 'intellectual' for the characters Simon plays.

Which is almost exactly the opposite in real life: Simon's a fool, Lewis is an intellectual, Harry is made of sticks, and Sjin's pretty average for his social group.

Honestly enjoyed the star wars ones more overall, but the Call of Cthulhu one's had the highest highs. Both were really good regardless though, but I'm sure they're a bit more niche lol.

Yeah. I occasionally watch these again because no new ones. I remember back in the day waiting the new series, and then every new episode. I guess these though took some time, but do not make that much money. It also ties lot of people for that little amount so it might be business decision

Believe or not as complicated as Call of Cthulhu LOOKS... it... ends up being insanely simple once you start playing. What gets to people is the number of numbers on the sheet.
I hesitate to think of many tabletop RPGs that are actually simpler than this that don't boarder on just being freeform.

Michael Hood he's done a total of ten voices that I've heard so far.
That's why Simon always had to do the voices for every "npc" in things like Shadows~
This is better than watching Netflix. So funny and entertaining! I still would like to see maybe a small group play this and get some ideas for how to really add the horror element. I guess that is hard to accomplish in a larger group. Can't wait to play this in a small group and be horrified. I can tell the keeper was doing his best lol. Great job guys, love the accents. I've only run Call of Cthulhu once, and after only 2 sessions, everyone was either dead or insane, think I was doing it right.

So, first impressions.
Simon's Griswold is shaping up to be this series' Ameebo, being the character that carries the show. His character is so vibrant and hilarious, and the interplay between him and Tom's NPCs has just been fantastic.
Barry's Tightlips Tony (from The Simpsons) character is a lot of fun, and a definite improvement flavour-wise over Igor from the last series.
Lewis seems to be rehashing his Ameebo voice, but it doesn't work as well in this setting, hope he develops a new character this time and doesn't just try to be Ameebo again.
Sjin, on the other hand, is just totally out of place in these settings. He's just not great at improv, he seems too caught up in his own insecurities to be able to just make things up on the spot, and it's really unfortunate.
Lastly, Tom is just fucking brilliant. I've always thought him to be very intelligent, but just seeing the scope of his imagination and his own ability to improvise is just exceptional. The more I watch of these, the more I appreciate his ability to paint such vivid settings for the others' characters to interact within. Just great.
Anyways, that's my thoughts on the first EP. Looking forward to more of these!

Well I'm sure the voice is based on some sort of trope or real actor, but it's a direct reference to a character from Shadow of Israphel.
I don't think Grizwald was in SoI, he was from a couple of adventure maps the yogscast did

I wish they did a breakdown of dice rules at the start of each new adventure
TiltLordSenpai they have values of 3d6x5, and other variables up to but not over 99. (Ie.60) Each is put in half (30), and put in a fifth (12). To succeed a roll, you roll a d100 (1d10 percentile and 1d10) and get a number below the value (-59), to succeed a hard roll, roll under the half amount(-29), for a very hard roll, roll under the fifth (-11).
My absolute favorite tabletop RPG! This scenario is from Doors to Darkness which is a great book for beginning keepers.
