  • Ortega is one of those highways that will always be special. Brings me back to when I was first learning how to ride. I would travel from Lake Elsinore through Ortega and head straight to Dana Point, before I knew it I was in Long Beach after about a 30 mile ride along the PCH.
Nowadays, Ortega Highway is filled with commuters and the occasional weekend warrior. Not to mention the fires that swept through the highway last year left most of the roads unaccessible and worse, discouraging to ride on.
I will continue to record at Ortega Highway with hopes that one day it will reach its former glory of the go-to-spot for southern Riverside County riders.
On that note, I think I'll head to Palomar Mountain next - lots of turns and the crowd is growing there from what I can tell on social media.
    Until next time, P65 out!
    Cheers!
