I rushed up to BBC channel just after i finished watching this content. I subcribed there and started listening to them. Then i revealed that i can understand every single bit of their conversations very clearly. Then i speed up the video and started listening them at 1.5x and finally at 1.75x speed. Surprisingly, every single bit of them was still very clear to me. Because all of their voices are so fine and clear. Whereas, i took some audio clip earlier from the practice listening test and those were tough for me to get even in normal speed because the speakers voice or tone was clumsy.
Listen without script >> listen with script if any part is difficult pause and listen again (or check dictionary) >> listen without script until understand all of it Play with speech >> normal speech >> slower the speech to understand >> normal speech >> fasten speech Spend listening english for at least 1 hour.
Hi Asiya, I just received my IELTS results and got an overall band score of 8. I literally had 3 days to prepare for the test and I spent them watching your vids. Thanks a million for your helpful tips!
Despite understanding 100 percent, I still struggle answering the questions due to their vague nature, doubling the anxiety. Everything is put in place indirectly; I get the essence though. Still, it is really difficult to keep tabs on the questions and the answers at the same time. No matter how good one is in English, one will always come by challenges solving the questions, for it needs practice to get accoustomed to the IELTS vibe. This is why we need professional help and a teacher who knows IELTS and its nuances in depth . It is a puzzle to be solved, if we don't know the proper techniques; we will understand everything with a low score. By the way, you are amazing and if you have any tips regarding: how can one keep track on the questions and the options given? then do share.
Exactly.. that’s why it makes me feel like it is unfair to assume that if you are good at English you’re naturally going to score high score in English.
Hey! Thank you SO SO much for your videos. I got 7,5 from ielts i took 1st of February. I had only one week to prepare, and i got 8,5 from listening. Jesus i never received this kind of score even in practices, but your videos are really helpful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Here is the details of the first listening technique: 1. Listening one or second times (without transcript). 2. Listening with transcript and read it while you're listening (if some parts are very difficult to listen, pause and listen to it again, we can use dictionary if we don't understand any word or phrase). 3. Listening to the recording again without the transcript (and only translate if any moment you don't understand, then find the transcript, read that part/ point again and listen to it again) and do it until you understand everything in the recording. Thank you guys!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💖

Yeah....this is all very good for beginners, but for those who want to boost their scores from a 36/40 to a 39 (band 9). It's not about comprehending what they're saying in the audio but about your concentration levels, what I'm facing is a focus defecit, I start thinking about one thing or a spelling and the next thing I know is I have missed the answer to a question. Also, a couple of questions require you to piece things together, that will not happen if you're completely clear on what is being asked in the question. Due to lack of time, one does what one can and gets the outline of a question before the start of the audio and is unable to read into what is being said before realising the answer to the question has been covered. This happens between question 31 to 40. Other parts are a cakewalk. Also, since you've got a thick asian accent, I'm guessing English ain't your first language. I wonder how you tackled the aforementioned issues since you claim you got a 9 band and you must have delved into tackling these issues at some point or the other. Any reply would be much helpful.
