My body moves exactly like yours. I use the Fluidity ballet bar it helps me with stability more
than a wall si I can relax. Thank you!
Yes, a ballet bar would be great!
0:28 hi!
I was diagnosed with Spastic Paraparesis last fall. Thank you so much for sharing these things! Mine is not Hereditary, so I guess just Spastic Paraparesis. Going to another neurologist at Barrow Institute now in Phoenix. You are encouraging me that I CAN do this!
Yes you can! Best of luck on your journey!
I have non-hereditary spatic paraparesis. It started almost 7 years ago but 2 years ago I was diagnosed. Now is getting worse, actually I can't walk because my legs are too heavy. Do you have heavy legs too?
Thank you for sharing your experience. As someone with similar functional issues, due to a spinal cord tumor as a child, I was wondering if you have ever tried any specially designed AFOs. Of course we know that every person is different, but many people with similar challenges have seen tremendous improvement in function and overall quality of life. 🙏🏽🖐🏽
Not yet, but I’ve talked about it with my neurologist. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for that video! As a personal trainer it‘s very interesting to see how you‘re adapting these exercises! During the deep squats and lunges: Does the strength still mainly come from the legs and you‘re just holding on for balance? Or is there a lot of upper body strength involved as well?
Anyway, keep it up!
The lower I go the more my arms support the move. When I squat low sometimes I try to “explode” up without holding on to anything to test strength and balance. Also, happy to hear you find it interesting as a personal trainer because you’re part of the audience I had in mind when making this video!
@@ohyesshecane Thank you very much. Oh wow, that's very cool! I'd love to see what these explosive moves look like! If you ever feel like it, maybe you can film like a set of 10 or so :-). And yes, it's definitely broadening my horizon a lot, so please keep it up! It actually just made me think: How does standing up from the ground work? Do you need to hold on and push yourself off something for that in any case, or can you also explode up solely with the legs if all goes well?
I have HSP and my main worry is losing strength in my legs; if I fall I can't get up without supporting myself on a wall or furniture. I find squats difficult due to balance and stability.
Yes they are tricky! I try to focus on arm strength too to help lift me up.
I can help you ❤️
