Brilliant song !!!....so underrated......but why ?......its such a shame that the music public only seem to realise what a brilliant band this group really were after they break up !!!!...this track just appitamisez how bloody good they were !!!......
Was my favourite band of my late teenage era. Had the absolute luck to see them at my University freshers week, it was poorly attended, interrupted by a fire alarm. They wanted to go home. We convinced them to play on....My wife just gave me this album on vinyl as an anniversary present. I feel old and nostalgic but will still fight anyone who feels Longpigs were not the best band of the late 90's British guitar band renaissance
Criminally underrated! Actually the second album, Mobile Home, which is even less talked about than the first, is one of my favorite all time LPs. Brilliant voice, lyrics and tasteful guitar parts and arrangements. i played these a lot in a cafe i worked in at the end of the 90s, so theres slso the nostslgia factor which makes their music sublime.
What a band. Havent listened to them for a long, long time but have been on a Longpigs binge for the last few days. Richard Hawley is one of the great British guitar players that doesn't get his flowers for some crazy reason. So many top, top tunes from such an underrated band.
It is criminal that Longpigs never made it as big as they should have been. Such a fantastic band, so much talent and great songs. If there was ever a band that should reunite it's this one. Hey, if The Stone Roses and Libertines managed, maybe they can too.
I wouldn't say that mate. The early 2000's produced some amazing bands. The Strokes, Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, LCD Soundsystem, The Hives and many many more amazing bands. I mean I'm an 80's and 90's kid but to say the 90's was the last decade of musical excellence is wide of the mark 😂
I’ve loved this song forever. Strangely, the first time I ever saw the vid, that I can remember. I love the voyeurism thing, but can’t see how it’s relevant to the song. For me, it distracts from how wonderful this song is. Seems totally out of place. The most human song, just beautiful. I never needed visuals. Should I rewatch, re-assess? The song was always heartbreakingly perfect.the vid just seems a bit rubbish, irrelevant. I bought this on cassette single, don’t remember the vid
Longpigs were amongst many bands that sadly got overshadowed by Oasis and Blur. Their amazing debut album 'The Sun Is Often Out' is a forgotten classic :-)

I agree with everything you just said, it's crazy
This is really special. What an incredible song, what a damn voice. They should have been huge!!

This band was awesome… just went over the heads of most people, totally touched on something…….fantastic lyrics…..
Amazingly talented band, including Richard Hawley. What an epic track

One can dream...
IMMORTAL CLASSIC MASTERPIECE

Miss this voice so much.
Giving Bee Gees pre-disco vibes in the quiet parts.
this is one of the greatest music videos I've ever seen (the whole album is awesome too!).
Wtf are you joking? Why?!
@@annajohnson2325 why not?
Looks like a take on decalogue, a polish film. A short film about love
Love longpigs
Godlike song
ah nostalgia. Great song. That guitar solo at the end is killer too.
Pretty cool they included several band members in the video
finally i found this!! Thanks!! ❤
I just typed lost myself, didn’t know this band, hello from Shetland (via Transylvania and Botswana). Do you know Lugworm? A Scottish 80s band, iirc
Yeah I have heard of the band :-)

They were as punchy as Oasis, albeit with an intellectual slant rarely heard on Morning Glory!

The start sounds like bring me the horizon n/a 🤣
