Incredible train filmography ❤
Thanks for watching. Cheers - Allan.
Fantastic shot there!
Thank you very much for watching. Allan. :-)
I worked on the ECML with the Deltics, HST’’ and the Electra’s until my retirement in 2007, a new era begins.
I bet you certainly have some stories to tell during those working days. Many thanks for watching the video. Regards - Allan.
Love the quick acceleration of the electric trains great video
The acceleration on these new train is one of the good points about them. Many thanks for watching. Cheers - Allan.
Super video of the new train and events at the station Allan. Cheers, Jeff.
Thanks Jeff, the start of another era of East Coast travel. Cheers - Allan.

Thanks for watching Keith. It may not get people into an uncontrollable frenzy but they do look sleek. Cheers - Allan.

Good capture Allan - nice to see this finally on the London to Edinburgh route. Hopefully I will travel on this during September when it is diverted via Carlisle.
Thanks Julian. Looking forward myself to the diverts in September.
Excellent video, Allan :) Nice touch by the LNER with the epic music on the arrival :) Looked like she had a bird strike on her inaugural ride, though... Thumbs up and best regards from Poland, Mike :)
Yes the poor bird get a special hit from the inaugural train. Thanks for viewing
Cheers - Allan.
Very nice Allan good catch cheers Steve ..
Thanks for viewing Steve. Cheers - Allan.
Also they’ve put the flying Scotsman and mallard next to the azuma train too

Super video Allan :)
Thank you very much Simon. Cheers - Allan. :-)
Well, a special moment there at Newcastle. Now, you can cover the entire length on one of the Azuma trains, slowly but surely.
Yes an occasion to note of its first day of service at Newcastle. Sure we'll all get used to them after day 2. Hopefully a trip on one soon. Cheers - Allan.
Great video!
Many thanks. Cheers - Allan.
She's a good looking set.
Thanks for watching. Regards - Allan.
Excellent video of the new train Allan wonder if they will last 30yr like the class 91s have
They probably will once the country is bankrupt for years to come. Thanks for viewing Andrew. Cheers - Allan.
Has it broken down yet?
(It's what I say on all videos of new trains, it's sort of tongue in cheek.)
(But I bet it will.)
1 Minute early at its destination so ok for today Andrei. :-) Cheers - Allan.
Nice video. Thanks. It's great that Britain has electrified its lines. It is much cleaner.
Yes much better for the environment. Thank you for watching. Regards - Allan.
Well, most of the mainlines have been electrified. But overall, about two thirds of the UK's railways are still operated by diesel trains. These lines need to be electrified, or the rolling stock should be upgraded to use battery or hydrogen power.
Only 35% of Britain's railways are electrified however
Sad it has already been hit by a bird :(
probably more accurate to say that the train hit the bird rather than the other way round!....
Excellent video Allan, quite remiss of the PR department not to advise the pigeons of this prestigious event 🤓.
Thanks for viewing Anthony. I don't think the pigeons would have been welcome by the VIPs there today. :-) Cheers - Allan.
I think I was on that! I can't remember if it was that date.
It was the very first Azuma in service out of Edinburgh this one. Thanks for watching the video. Cheers - Allan.
Rode on one today. Got to Durham, and it broke down and had to wait 20 min before we fixed the issue
Not a good start for the Azumas. Hope it made some time up. Cheers - Allan.
allan5919 We got in to London more or less on time.
Отличное видео!
Спасибо за просмотр видео. Allan.
Nice coverage, Allan. Are those marks on the yellow coal scuttle evidence of a bird strike or perhaps of flying track ballast?
bird strike definitely
Yes looks like the little Birdy will tweet no more Allan. Thanks for watching and commenting. Regards - Allan.
New ships are launched with a bottle of champagne, trains get a pigeon!
Very good Allan, a nice catch! (What was the LNER girl giving away?) BTW check your spelling of "inaugural"?
I think they were a breakfast box of some kind. never got my hands on one though. Thanks for pointing the spelling out. I will correct. Cheers - Allan.
shame - I bet you could have done with one after standing around waiting!
Wonderful trains,backache by Berwick-on-Tweed!
Thanks for viewing Andrew. I have done one journey from Leeds to Doncaster on an Azuma. The seat in standard class look good, but are appalling to sit on. Regards - Allan.
@@allan5919 Try the First Class no difference, ditto the GWR 800s
Nice Train video
Thank you very much Thomas. Cheers - Allan.
ft Geoff Marshall
So they are playing Game of Thrones for a new train arrival.
What's with those brakes? ..they sound in pain..this is third video featuring this train I've watched and the brakes sound terrible?..can't see them lasting the rigours of hectic life
Thanks for watching and for the observation regards the brakes. An interesting point and I will have to look out for it in the future. Regards - Allan.
Nice footage from you at the station Allan......Would still rather have a good old HST Though....Cheers....Trevor.''
Thanks Trevor. I think it will be hard to beat the HSTs. Plenty VIPs hanging around waiting to travel on this today. Cheers - Allan.
Alas, I still yearn for the throb of a Deltic - a real locomotive!
was travelling with this on that day and it was severely delayed, british quality lol
What a load of rubbish, it was 3:59:00 so under the 4 hour mark. Why are you lying?
This particular service arrived at it's destination one minute early Liang. Regards - Allan.
@@joshbrown6138 And is likely the only train that will, as it skips York.
This is literally a lie. Are you just one of those people who hates the British? Goodness knows there are enough of them...
Lovely video gorgeous train love to go on it love the gorgeous girl xxx serving the sandwiches at the beginning ,Richard joganah..
Yes Richard, free sandwiches for the passengers travelling on this first service of the Azuma from Newcastle. Thanks for viewing. Allan.
I must admit the IEP sets are starting to grow on me. They look really good in this livery. But GWR's pool table green doesn't suit them. It suits the HSTs for some reason but not the IEP sets.
Thanks for your comments Donagh. I have made one short journey on one and there are some good points about them. The speedy acceleration and red/green indicator light that can be instantly seen on entering a coach that let you know where the unreserved seats are, without have to look at every reservation display indicator. I think people will get used to them. Cheers - Allan.
Could have cleaned the blood and feathers off the nose cone before it's journey. Our rail tracks are like our roads...embarrassing. Hideous road tax and sky high fares and we get shit.
A lot will say the whole country is an embarrassment just now let alone the railways. Couldn't agree more about the sky high fares. Thanks for watching. Allan.
Are they expecting people to get excited by these ? really?
Generally I don't think the excitement levels will go off the scale, not amongst rail enthusiasts anyway. Thanks for viewing. Regards - Allan.
