It's quite surprising, but many people are unaware that in numerous albums, the artist doesn't actually record all the instrument pieces themselves. Instead, they rely on the talent of session musicians. For instance, the famous hit "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield guitar part was actually recorded by guitarist Neil Giraldo. So when the audio engineer, Rick Carson, states that everything we hear on this album was done by the artist, it's truly a testament to their exceptional skills.

As far as family bands that have broken up all I can think of are the Gallagher brothers from the band Oasis although it might be a stretch calling Oasis a family band. I think I have mentioned this in another video, I recommend you check out their recently uploaded video called The Warning X Anniversary. A good followup to these videos. Thanks for the reaction. 👍⚡⚡⚡

if you want to really see what they are like. On their RUclips channel there are what they call aftermovies, which are behind the scenes of the tours, they are short and very entertaining to watch. and they and their team are seen as they are as human beings.

Their story is the stuff of fairy tales but it is destined to become legend. The rights to their story is worth $$$ - it is so beautifully organic and they are such incredibly inspiring individuals. Put them together and yeah...I get chills just thinking of it. They, the entire family, have this *something* that is so alluring and wonderful and positive.

Yes other family members in bands break up, the brothers in Oasis are constantly fighting, the brothers in the band The Black Crowes have split more than once, and the sisters in Heart are trying to work out their difference and haven’t played together for many yrs now…

Easy example of siblings band that split up is Oasis, that family is messed up.

11:27 that shot of Ale ripping that bass line right there shows you how serious she is as a bass player. The look of determination on her face, and the difficulty of that part for any beginner player - let alone a child that size - is so impressive.

They consider each other first best friends and they like being with each other. They live at home, share the same room they had as children, help out around the house, run errands for their parents, and look to their parents for advice.
When they are separated for even a short time, they miss each other. One day when Dany recording guitar tracks Monica and Luis took Pau and Ale into NYC for a few hours. Dany said she missed them.

I watched a review of "The Godfather a couple of days ago and whenever there were mob-related disagreements the phrase "It's business, not family" was used to diffuse them. The girls were very smart to realize at an early age that the band is business, not family, and and how important it is to keep those things separate.

I think The Warning's ages are spread out enough that they get along better than other sibling situations. When you are closer in age I think that is where the siblings can be more like rivals than allies.

There are two current band stories that move me to tears, for different reasons (but both sound like a fairy tale): they are The Warning and Band-Maid. And as luck would have it, both bands listen to each other, admire each other and have met (at the Aftershock 2022 festival - it's a must-see video!).

If you want to see a another side to the band, back in May they performed a show in London. Originally it was supposed to have taken place 3 years earlier, but a pandemic got in the way. This show was largely funded by Kickstarter supporters (I believe) and those who had paid a not-inconsiderable amount got to spend much of the afternoon with the band with a Meet & Greet and also an acoustic set. There was a full gig later in the day, which I was lucky enough to get a ticket for, but the organisers have just released the pro-shot footage of the 35 minute acoustic set from earlier in the day - "The Warning UK Private Acoustic Show". Because it was quite informal you get to see a little more of their personalities and how endearing they all are. The main show, The Warning UK Private Show is probably something for your own enjoyment (as it is nearly an hour and a half) and while it doesn't have the same visuals as the Teatro Metropolitan videos, the audio is pretty good.

There have been some notoritously band breakups with family members over the years. The Davies brothers from the Kinks come to mind. The Fogerty brothers in Creedence Clearwater Revival...it doesn't always work out. But maybe the dynamic between sisters makes a difference.

I bought all three albums and the later ones are great BUT I find myself playing XXI Century Blood more than the later albums. I just love the songs on that album. The Black Crows are an example of family members breaking the band. The Robinson brothers had an argument about something and broke the band up.
