Man, I remember not liking Danko Jones when I first heard him on the new version of that Guano Apes song (Open Your Eyes, I believe?), but here he's frickin' *killing it!*
Guess it was just a matter of what I was expecting out of a song - don't burn me at the stake for heresy now, but I like these vocals just as much, or even perhaps a little bit more, than the original Dead Kennedys ones!
Dankos earliest music is quite different than the tunes we got to know him by, definitely worth a listen. There a CD comp of his early stuff, can't remember the name but it's got gold on it.

Great Punk Rock cover by some of the best to play punk Rock Again nice to see leeser well known musicians Norwood Fisher - Fishbone 0n eod the most under the radar PUNK /Ska -Punk Bub band ever . Melvin is great with NOFX . Went and check out Danko and his band and that is bonus thiese colaabs present a lot .. Of course Mikey and Darrin as the regulars just fit righr in.

First week of April 1984 I'd just turned 14 and got some record vouchers for my birthday so off to revival records second hand shop . I'm dyslexic and COULDN'T read then .so I'm in the record store looking at the covers of albums and my eyes kept coming back to this album cover with a tiny black hand inside of bigger white hand i brought it got home put it on and BUMMED OUT wtf had i just spent my money on what the hell is this AND THEN MOON OVER MARIN CAME ON THAT WAS MY LEFT TURN RIGHT TURN MOMENT A FEW MOUTHS LATER I HAD DK TATTOO ON MY LEFT HAND AND THE BAR'S ON MY LEFT SHOULDER BUT THAT'S ME TO THIS DAY PUNKROCKER FOR LIFE
