thanks for your video. We've just found out our cruise on the Norwegian Star this August is not going to Greenland anymore 😞 but is stopping here and in Grundarfjordur instead. Your video has shown us what a lovely little place it is and we are looking forward to exploring it as you did.
That's a bummer about Greenland, but two extra ports in Iceland sound like quite the adventure too. This one was really nice for hiking. Have a great time!
I must get to Iceland! What a beautiful sight. Thank you so much for sharing this video with me. Did you guys have to fly to Iceland to get on the ship? Enjoy, because I certainly am enjoying every moment of this video. Yah!!!! Amen
Our pleasure- thank you so much for the comment! 😊 Iceland was amazing! We actually took the Cunard Queen Mary 2 to Southampton from New York, then took the Norwegian Star from Southampton which visited Scotland, Norway & 4 ports in Iceland. We then flew home from Reykjavik.
Wow Iceland is absolutely beautiful! I’d love to come and stay for some days to explore the country with amazing scenic sites. Though I prefer Caribbean weather lol Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!💕
Thanks for this! We just had this port added to our itinerary and I was looking for ideas. Where was the trailhead for the hike you did with the waterfalls and the little bridges? This is right up our alley.
Seydisfjordur looks so beautiful in your video. Where did you start the hike from? In town or nearer to cruise port? How much time do you think I should allocate for the hike? Thanks in advance.
We started that long hike from town, and we thought 2 hours was good enough (about 1 hour out and 1 hour back). So it depends on when your ship leaves, the weather and how you feel. Have a great time!
"AT ANCHOR IN ........." i see some interesting 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Btw whats a tender ticket? I found 5 interesting pics on fb.. lol.... bt did you have tender ticket?.. also ig you show it to get back to ship? But.. it doesnt say name of the ship or something 🤔
Great questions! 🙂 A tender ticket is something you have to get on the day when you are going on the tender. It usually has a group number on it, so when they call your group number that means you can head down and take the tender. If you cruise many times with a particular cruise line (like we are with NCL), then you don't need the tender ticket- you just head on down to take the boat. You don't need a tender ticket to get back, but you do need your cruise ship room card to show to security.
@@TravelTouristVideos so i can literally take the tender wihout showing anything... just to try ithem? Even when im not a passenger? 🤔 But wdym with group... group... the ppl you're on cruise with? Btw.. i had that question for long timr.. but i keep forget it..
@@TravelTouristVideos if i get a tender ticket.. i will save it.. LOL.. I want to laminate it.. (idk if it right word.. but its close to the danish word) And then.. stick it to my wall next to all my LifeBoat pictures 😍 Imagine.. the crew see me.. way too hype and ... bruh... 😭
You do have to be a passenger because they will check for your room keycard before you can go to the area at the dock to take the tender. If somehow you sneak through and get on the tender and reach the cruise ship, the ship's security will discover that you're not a passenger, and most likely you'll be sent back on another ride on the lifeboat 😏. As for the group number- it's for whoever going on the same tender. So for example if the lifeboat can fit 60 people, they will give up 60 tickets with the same group number.
I love how they write "Tender Boats" thats exactly how to write it.... But it would be better if it was "Tender LifeBoats" 😍😍😍 Edit: but they dont do it in "tendering information" 😡
I couldn’t handle the cold at all but I’m so glad you had fun.
It was cold but fun too for sure! Thanks for watching & commenting! 😊
Thanks for the amazing video. This is a place I will be going to, now that I have retired next summer I will book it
Our pleasure- appreciate your comment! 😊 We really enjoyed this town and hope you will too when you go!

Our pleasure! 😊 You would start the hike in the center of the little town. It's amazing- hope you guys go and have a great time!
We stayed in this town for a day. Wonderful town..
The scenery with all the waterfalls- just amazing!

It'd actually be just a small piece of paper with a number or letter on it 🙂
Is it worth signing up for the walking tour?
We didn't think so, but I'm sure there's a lot of history and fun facts offered so it might be worth it for some.

I agree! 🙂 But yeah it's just sometimes they do use other boats for tendering, but for this cruise (Scotland, Norway & Iceland) it was all lifeboats!
@@TravelTouristVideos freaks me off when they use the Poor LifeBoats in the stupid ice cold Water 😭😭😭😭😭😭
