Model Building - Harrier Jet: Tamiya vs Monogram

Mr. Alan, of Smith Hill Library, compares the Tamiya Harrier in 1/48 scale with the Monogram version. Tamiya's dates from the 1970s, and Monogram's is from the 1980s.

I know that's a good technique if the decals have yellowed. Will that help with other stains? Sounds like an idea.
