  • Although carbon offsets have been exposed as an environmental pyramid scheme, the Kenyan government and Kenyan communities have signed off land to foreign interests under the scheme. How do such scams appear logical to Kenyan officials and, most of all, to the communities who are the victims? Dr. Ogada explains the certain underlying racist narratives and institutional corruption which make these scams look perfectly logical to vulnerable Kenyans.

The most interesting and profound analysis of our hoes that I've heard in a long time. We need to get rid of these mzungus from our lands and the sooner we do it the better....
Thank you guys for this share. I keenly listened to it all and I wish that all Kenyans could listen to and follow you.
Please share with us what we need to do asap in any small ways we can.
My money is on you and Francis Gaitho too.

Its not just the wazungu we need to get off our land, its their black/Kenyan foot soldiers like the Kenyatta family and the like who need to go too. Keep in mind that the colonialists and their local enforcers (our 'leaders') are two sides of the same coin. They are both a part of the same system that is working together to oppress Kenyans and you can't remove one without removing the other.
Remember when Uhuru's Northlands shamba was invaded and some of his sheep stolen, there's a narrative that started going round that any further invasions of the Kenyatta's land would be stopped by the police or even the military because it would ultimately threaten the wazungu who are still unlawfully occupying hectares of land all over the country.

Mr ogada we're finished. Some of the things I see in our country Kenya, mimi nimechoka. Come to taita. It's total madness!. Unlucky we're in between tsavo east and west. The few who benefit from these missions in our community are on front line telling lies on how the community is benefitting from it. Ogada brother go on! Expose them. You have our blessing and of our ancestors.

Africa was cut off because our literature by African writers are readily available in developed countries. In the 80s African countries fought their intellectuals who were absorbed in the developed countries universities. Negritude of Sengor and other writers, history of Mau Mau, Ali Mazrui…Walk around our book stores we have books on Obama etc..very European. If there are books about Africa, you see poverty in them, flies…Binyavanga how to write about Africa.
