Good to hear it's reaching the right ears! For reference I have 800 hours currently, so the routes should be accurate. (but let me know if you have any other questions)
Heres a random cowboy air combo, down slash, the natural one, and then horizontal, if you get it right, You might be able to do it till you reach the ground
hey , robot main in training here, first: awesome video, i never knew you could actually chain loic and the throws. but two, are there any reliable ways to make use of remote bomb and that angled air grab robot has? The air grab specially is something i very rarely manage to find a usage for since it just automatically ends a combo , and i don't know if there's anyway to continue off of it or not. Also is there any way of telling when bounds check will throw the opponent into a wall and when it will slam them into it? i never can tell Which one it'll do and it trips me up any time it isn't the slam
Thanks for the comment! To answer both of your questions: 1. Bomb isn't useful in any of Robot's combos, sadly. Not only is it hard to line up, but your opp's DI makes it hard to follow up even on a successful hit. The extra damage just isn't worth the added inconsistency. Also, sometimes you can land a shockwave after throw, but generally you want to stay away for similar reasons as above. 2. Bounds check takes your opponent to the wall when hit outside of a combo (aka if it is the FIRST hit on your opponent) otherwise it will travel a short distance and throw them.
Much appreciated video! Aspiring robot main here with a question. The bread and butter combo concuss into hop into saw, I don't really see this combo used in your olympus qualifier video, but maybe I've missed it? Has something changed in the game since then, or is there something I'm not understanding? I feel like concuss is too hard to land in my games (it's slower than most jabs, and shorter than most poke), but that's probably just player skill issue? EDIT: Cause I realized the question sounded a bit combative. Might still be a bit accusatory but I'm just genuinely confused. 🥲
No problem! However, I did actually use it in my Olympus run! At 1:51 I use the BnB after parrying an attack. At 4:03 in the Olympus video you can see the only other time I try for the BnB, where the Chainsaw is immediately bursted. Something I didn't cover in this video is how to actually start a combo or avoid being bursted out of one. What you've pointed out (landing Conc is hard!) is a real problem, but not something that should be covered by this video. I want to make one that covers how to win neutral but, honestly, that's my weakest area as a player. Still, the BnB is consistent and has worked for me for a long time, so I'm certain of its efficacy! Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@whimsnum Thanks for the reply! I feel like I understand more of when concussive is a good tool now that I've tried using it more, movement/momentum can extend the specific range in which it's useful. Especially after a jab clank on spin cycle and sometimes (though rarely) on grab clank I've found myself in a good place where another jab from the opponent wouldn't hit, but a 6f move like hori-slash or kick also would not. Which means concussive actually beats all their moves :)
great, now I just need to learn how not to lose at rock paper scissors
It's been really hard finding any good info on robot from after they removed his magnet (and down angled laser?) thanks for the help

Is this video outdated in any way?
edit: im looking at it now and actually most of it is outdated :( Some stuff in it should work but a lot of it has just mechanically changed...
