I don't like iRacing, I don't approve of its business model or attitude to its players, I also don't think it's a very good sim (mainly due to the flaky netcode). As a long time ACC'er, I made the switch a few months ago. It was a very, very, very, very, very, painful decision, but I'm so desperate for good lobbies. The high player count and huge number of splits, along with the variety of content has been so much fun. It pains me to support the business model, but I'm praying AC Evo finally bridges the gap. I want to play ACC, but as an American, LFM and pub lobbies are just dead during my peak time. I can only race Monza and Spa so many times in pub lobbies. Looking forward to seeing how much iracing you do.

Same here I have 500hrs in ACC but iracing feels more realistic in some ways especially braking. The way it's setup also highly discourages the craziness we see in ACC lobbies

Man Iracing has a ton more options in content and the crowds are great for us in US. ACC is great but outside racing GT3s there isn’t much to do. I drive GTPs and LMP cars so the IMSA series Iracing offers is all I need
I was in your shoes 3 years ago, before LFM was a thing. Iracing resparked my love for sim racing. But even now, I'm still so sick of Spa & Monza that I usually skip the weeks they come up now.
You should get in on the ringmeister series, bunch of fun combos and good drivers in the higher splits. Though sometimes people make dumb overtaking choices into corners like flugplatz or mutkurve but you know that's racing, heh.

That's iRacing for you! The competition level is somewhat higher than other Sims, sweaty, and you are not allowed to blink most of the time. One wrong move and you're dead! Everyone is forced to drive within track limits, and no one will be allowed to find an exploit cutting a certain corner. Brutal! More iRacing content, please.
I have seen almost all your content from ACC and am happy to see you now on Iracing as well. Iracing is so much nicer and I hope we see you more often at this sim.
Awesome to see you playing iRacing. If you can would you consider using something like iOverlay or racelab (iOverlay is current meta I think)? It's freemium and a nerd like me could see standings, minimap, SoF and so on. Also try lmp2 awesome car to drive and IMSA is multiclass racing. Cheers and good luck in Magny-Cours :D
LMP2 is one car that reminds me of ACC, in the sense that you have to absolutely send it on the limit at all times, compared to alot of cars on iRacing that require you to drive under the limit. So I'll agree with you, really hope he tries it out!
Great to see you giving iRacing another go - yes the 296 will punish you with oversteer - you got this my man you will work it out very quickly as you are a talented racer & driver .....
You can usually change brake bias even in fixed setup races (it's the only thing you can change), this will help with the understeer. Then it becomes a game of inducing the rotation you want through trailbraking

I noticed you set up the camera to be stiff like ACC and not dampened like iRacing default one, you are still in love with it 🤣 P.s. you still have 20yo reflexes, 99% of people including me would not have catch that loss of control in the fast left hander before the corkscrew.
As an A license racer, I’m impressed with your race craft! Laguna Seca can be a bit tricky at first. Curious how you go at Imola, which is even more technical, with a lot of off-tracks. Which camera system are you using here?
Just remember brake early and don't slam the brake down. Use real braking 70 to 80% and trail brake boom! Iracing came to me more naturally then acc. Much more because of the much more realistic braking techniques. You did fantastic btw lol
Initially it is more natural. But when you want to start pushing the GT3s for example you will realize that you will always have to underdrive the cars. Despite being the most popular series in simracing I have realized that no sim does GT3s that well lol. Maybe LMU will.

For long time I was trying to find every way to hate iracing, because they business model is that crazy but I got fed up by ACC updates where they destroy the whole physic of a car. Feels unreal how the car is destroyed by one patch. I am not talking about the BOP, but the car suddenly becomes a mess. :(
More iracing would be brilliant. Especially endurance stuff in teams. ACC sadly is declining and with AC Evo showing nothing in regard to a multiplayer platform. I don’t see how you can launch a sim title now without copying what iracing do.
Until this content, I thought that Iracing was a poor relation graphically. I was wrong, that will teach me to judge on the internet and not in real life.

Unfortunately for ACC, iracing has much better driving experience and racing experience as well. I switched close to a year ago and never looked back
