The fact that Freddy waits when you reach an area he can’t get to, as opposed to the other animatronics losing interest is very fitting considering the AI of the original Freddy compared to the other animatronics in Fnaf 1. Freddy would never backtrack. You could force him to wait, but you could never him make him go back.
The interface that shows you how far freddy is from you is such a good addition. Like not knowing where he is but you can still see the number rapidly decreasing is nightmare fuel ☠️
Yeah, unlike the other animatronics, he has a unique heavy clanking sound when he runs, which makes him insanely more intimidating because he actually SOUNDS like he's on your tail with murderous intent.

Considering Spiff had Giga Monty get to Roxy Raceway while the Atrium was unloaded, this indicates the character pathfinding remains intact, so Vanny would be able to follow you anywhere. That's also what Freddy was doing in Rockstar Row, trying to wrap around in the Atrium, his teleportation just prevented it
What makes this even worse is the fact that when he runs the camera shakes, that not only makes things just a little harder to do, but the screen shake inherently causes a sense of panic
Honestly, this mod is what Vanny SHOULD have been. Just constantly showing up and hunting you down relentlessly. A good way to alter it would be to make certain places in the game pure blind spots where her pathing stops or sends her to a specific place nearby once you are in said zone.

It would be cool if somebody could make it so both Freddys are in the game, regular Freddy is just trying to help Greg escape like the good boi that he is and in turn his evil twin ruined Freddy becomes the most aggressive obstacle. I know nothing about how modding works or if this is even possible but I find it extremely funny to think about.

The lore of this challenge could be really interesting- Evil Freddy could be the next replacement Freddy after our Freddy collapsed on stage, but without the memory/data from our Freddy, he’s controlled by Afton/Vanny and he could be tracking Gregory so well due to the faz-watch’s signal (this is just a silly idea I made up lmao)
I actually really like the idea of Freddy not being able to be tricked by the hiding spots. It makes sense since if he had gained Gregory's trust he would be able to track him with the far watch. I feel like this is what Vanny should have been! A constant looming threat that can't be tricked easily like the animatronics AI. She's not dumb enough to fall for shallow hiding spots and she has every access to every camera keeping a constant chase on you. It would feel a lot more tense cos you would have lowest level threats (staff bots) , mid level threats (Chica, Roxy and Monty) and then highest level threat Vanny. That way Freddys help would be more impactful. I mean you don't even really need Freddy to complete the game, the ability to use freddy as a hiding spot or ally feels like such a wasted mechanic when every other threat is inconvenient at best.
imagin something like bendy and the dark revivals ink demon, or yokai watch's terror time where in those games, the ink demon/an oni will apear if your wandering for too long, imagin wandering the main atrium, getting a bit lost, and then the red screen effect happens and it says "vanny is coming" and you have to get in freddy or leave that area or you get caught

The only thing I think this mod could've done better was make the save stations faster so you could safely save and make hiding places actually do something against freddy.

Not very related but, your comment reminded me of Pizza Tower. Have you played it? If you didn't, read the next paragraph for context, or jump to the other one So, it is a platforming game where at the end of every level, you have to sprint back to the start with a timer counting down (like Wario Land). If it reaches zero ("It's Pizza Time!"), a floating giant pizza starts chasing you and you lose if it touches you. You can also redo the backtracking in Lap 2 for extra points, within the amount of time you have left. There's a mod that added a Lap 3, where Pizza Time is immediate, and despite not having a timer anymore, you HAVE to take the perfect route for the smallest chance of outrunning Pizzaface.
Evil Freddy might be one of the most sadistic animatronics he goes slower when you're near him to tease you and when you stay in a safe spot for too long he waves at you like mocking you
Freddy not going away after you jump out of his ai range actually makes a lot of sense. Because in the first game, Freddy wouldn't go away after you closed the doors

I feel like the mod would make more sense if you had two freddys, one good one evil with subtle differences to tell them apart but not so easily at a glance. Good would of course function as normal freddy and evil freddy acts like this freddy. the catch is that evil freddy can jump you even if you're in good freddy, he knows you're hiding in the stomach hatch because he has one himself. I would make it that he can't take you if you're hiding, BUT he can imitate Good Freddy for a little while. If you don't notice the subtle difference and run to Evil Freddy while he plays good, you die That way, you would always hesitate running for safety, because even when running for safety, you would need to fear about maybe getting the wrong one.
they should change out his model or try and figure out how to give him the purple eyes and bowtie, and maybe if they figure out how, give him the beta Roxy Eyes (seen best in one of Astralspiffs videos about the beta version of sb in the files). Being chased by High Freddy would make it even scarier
Tbh I honestly though Vanny would act like Mr. X. She's always chasing you and the only living human of the game to actually jumpscare you. Plus her ability to appear out of nowhere and now we know her vanny mask pretty much gives her a sort-of-controlled no-clip, she would of been perfect to be the one to hunt you down.
That was her original role before they took out the Vannt Meter. If you stayed in an area for too long she would spawn in. It would force you to always keep moving
The fact that when you get somewhere evil Freddy can't reach and he just waits and watches in the dark is genuinely unnerving. He's just constantly fixated on Gregory 24/7 without saying a single word like a creepy ssa stalker. Unlike the other animatronics that just wander around and only chase Gregory when they see him, evil Freddy _ALWAYS_ knows where Gregory is. There is never a time in this video where evil Freddy just blindly wanders around like the other animatronics. He always knows where Gregory is and stops at nothing to catch him. My only criticism is the missed opportunity to use the unused voicelines of good Freddy being corrupted by peepaw for evil Freddy.
i think if the goal is to be kind of like a Mr. X it needs periods where it doesnt _quite_ know where you are to give you moments of reprieve only to snatch it away by them suddenly knowing EXACTLY where you are and then they come out of nowhere
and in these moments he should wander away with no distance limits, then he gets back to you and one he's in a certain distance the limit comes back, giving you time to rush back to safety
To really complete the mod, evil Freddy needs some facial hair, and there needs to be a knock-down drag-out fight between the two of them at some point.
There's a mod that gives every animatronic better AI, and a mod that gives them better graphics. Those two paired together makes for a genuinely terrifying game where you have to be actually stealthy or the animatronics with glowing red pupils will hear you - yes, _HEAR YOU_ - and see you from a mile away. They're also twice as fast, to the point you CANNOT outrun Roxy or Monty and can just BARELY outrun Chica. They're also better with finding you in hiding spots. It is a genuinely terrifying experience with both mods, and if I can find a mod that makes the entire game super dark.... It'll make for a horrifying experience.
It wouldve been so cool if the mod included voicelines for Freddy that were discarded before release like the creepy "Gregggoryyyy" and "Why do you hide?"
I feel like for this mod, you should actually be using a glamrock bonnie model to ride in instead of actual freddy and also it should use the unused possessed freddy voice lines, it'd be really fitting too.
*RUIN SPOILERS* With Ruin having that Freddy Prototype, it would be pretty cool if something was changed with the main game to acknowledge it. Maybe from a story standpoint, Freddy himself suffers the error like normal, but in an attempt to keep the shows going, the Pizzaplex staff issued the prototype to take Freddy's place. In gameplay, this prototype could probably function like this: He'll prowl around like the other bots, searching for Gregory just how the others do. However, he only needs to get a lock on you ONCE(maybe he pinpoints the faz-watch's location?), then he will chase you at Freddy's max speed until you're dead.

@@AWSOMzombie I think you're confusing "Canon Ending" and "Good Ending." To be fair, we have no clue what the canon ending is. While that ending may be the good ending, it's not necessarily the TRUE ending. For example, Afton is the only one with a proper cutscenes afterward, while Fire Escape portrays Vanny and Vanessa as possibly two separate people(which we kind of know to be false now thanks to the character encyclopedia). My personal theory is that it's actually one ending split into six concentrated endings, but that's beside the point. I'm not trying to discredit your point. I believe that this is not the real Freddy, but I'll respect those who believe otherwise.

6:44 you could also just run out the 'locked' doors to behind one of the counters, thats what i did in my first playthrough, they dont lock until after you've gained the badge, i did this in June so idk if it still works
I really wish Security Breach could have been a better game, both mechanically and story-wise-- but I'm so glad the community has made mods like this one that show us what the bones underneath the jank could have been like. I love scary Freddy, and I wish this game could have been more scary!

all this has done has made me realize just how easy it would have been to make this game scary without changing anything really. They literally could have had the mimic be relevant in SB by explaining that it's wearing the shell of prototype Freddy and it tries to trick you. Maybe on top of always heading towards you sometimes when you summon Freddy the fake Freddy gets teleported nearby and starts heading to you, and it's up to the player to determine whether it's their Freddy or the fake, that would have been SO cool. why do the fandom/modders always have way better ideas than the developers?? 😔
Tbf they most likely had another story through unused code, voicelines, and most likely another map setup. For whatever reason, they had to change everything and couldnt get enough time to do it.

if you play more challenges like this here's my advice: when you save always press to save in different slot, because if you would save and it would softlock you into endless respawn and jumpscare, you could just go to earlier save

I'm curious as to how this would work if it was Vanny instead of Freddy, because I know she can completely distort your vision, making the game a bit harder to play. This could have helped make a better ending with Burntrap turning Freddy against Gregory while on the main levels. Gregory can't hide because Freddy has the Fazwatch to track Gregory. He's extremely fast and can teleport so he can't get stuck and can always catch up with Gregory, not giving the player a lot of time to think of a plan. Maybe the key to defeating him would be using the other animatronics to distract him. This would work especially well if the lights were very low, the music stopped completely, and Freddy has a broken form like the others where (at minimum) the outer layer of his mouth area was ripped away, revealing sharp endoskeleton teeth.
The save times reminds me of Alien Isolation and how you’re sweating bullets if the alien is around. Never thought FNAF could replicate that 1:00:40 Immediately got Markiplier flashbacks lol. This was so fun to watch. Evil Freddy is rightfully terrifying

So, it is a platforming game where at the end of every level, you have to sprint back to the start with a timer counting down (like Wario Land). If it reaches zero ("It's Pizza Time!"), a floating giant pizza starts chasing you and you lose if it touches you. You can also redo the backtracking in Lap 2 for extra points, within the amount of time you have left.
There's a mod that added a Lap 3, where Pizza Time is immediate, and despite not having a timer anymore, you HAVE to take the perfect route for the smallest chance of outrunning Pizzaface.
I love how in the base security breach you want freddy with you all the time but in this mod you want him as far away as physically possible

Freddy not going away after you jump out of his ai range actually makes a lot of sense. Because in the first game, Freddy wouldn't go away after you closed the doors

I feel like the mod would make more sense if you had two freddys, one good one evil with subtle differences to tell them apart but not so easily at a glance. Good would of course function as normal freddy and evil freddy acts like this freddy. the catch is that evil freddy can jump you even if you're in good freddy, he knows you're hiding in the stomach hatch because he has one himself. Just a thought though
I would make it that he can't take you if you're hiding, BUT he can imitate Good Freddy for a little while. If you don't notice the subtle difference and run to Evil Freddy while he plays good, you die
That way, you would always hesitate running for safety, because even when running for safety, you would need to fear about maybe getting the wrong one.
Maybe give evil freddy purple eyes so you are able to tell them apart and you could say lore wise that freddy has been taken over by glitch trap

Tbh I honestly though Vanny would act like Mr. X. She's always chasing you and the only living human of the game to actually jumpscare you.
Plus her ability to appear out of nowhere and now we know her vanny mask pretty much gives her a sort-of-controlled no-clip, she would of been perfect to be the one to hunt you down.
That was her original role before they took out the Vannt Meter. If you stayed in an area for too long she would spawn in. It would force you to always keep moving

The fact that when you get somewhere evil Freddy can't reach and he just waits and watches in the dark is genuinely unnerving. He's just constantly fixated on Gregory 24/7 without saying a single word like a creepy ssa stalker. Unlike the other animatronics that just wander around and only chase Gregory when they see him, evil Freddy _ALWAYS_ knows where Gregory is. There is never a time in this video where evil Freddy just blindly wanders around like the other animatronics. He always knows where Gregory is and stops at nothing to catch him. My only criticism is the missed opportunity to use the unused voicelines of good Freddy being corrupted by peepaw for evil Freddy.

i think if the goal is to be kind of like a Mr. X it needs periods where it doesnt _quite_ know where you are to give you moments of reprieve only to snatch it away by them suddenly knowing EXACTLY where you are and then they come out of nowhere
and in these moments he should wander away with no distance limits, then he gets back to you and one he's in a certain distance the limit comes back, giving you time to rush back to safety
Yep, nothing like making 2 Freddys, one good one evil to give you mixed feelings that feels like a dream & nightmare at the same time.
To really complete the mod, evil Freddy needs some facial hair, and there needs to be a knock-down drag-out fight between the two of them at some point.
There's a mod that gives every animatronic better AI, and a mod that gives them better graphics. Those two paired together makes for a genuinely terrifying game where you have to be actually stealthy or the animatronics with glowing red pupils will hear you - yes, _HEAR YOU_ - and see you from a mile away. They're also twice as fast, to the point you CANNOT outrun Roxy or Monty and can just BARELY outrun Chica. They're also better with finding you in hiding spots. It is a genuinely terrifying experience with both mods, and if I can find a mod that makes the entire game super dark.... It'll make for a horrifying experience.

I feel like for this mod, you should actually be using a glamrock bonnie model to ride in instead of actual freddy

With Ruin having that Freddy Prototype, it would be pretty cool if something was changed with the main game to acknowledge it. Maybe from a story standpoint, Freddy himself suffers the error like normal, but in an attempt to keep the shows going, the Pizzaplex staff issued the prototype to take Freddy's place. In gameplay, this prototype could probably function like this: He'll prowl around like the other bots, searching for Gregory just how the others do. However, he only needs to get a lock on you ONCE(maybe he pinpoints the faz-watch's location?), then he will chase you at Freddy's max speed until you're dead.

@@AWSOMzombie I think you're confusing "Canon Ending" and "Good Ending." To be fair, we have no clue what the canon ending is. While that ending may be the good ending, it's not necessarily the TRUE ending. For example, Afton is the only one with a proper cutscenes afterward, while Fire Escape portrays Vanny and Vanessa as possibly two separate people(which we kind of know to be false now thanks to the character encyclopedia). My personal theory is that it's actually one ending split into six concentrated endings, but that's beside the point.
I'm not trying to discredit your point. I believe that this is not the real Freddy, but I'll respect those who believe otherwise.

I really wish Security Breach could have been a better game, both mechanically and story-wise-- but I'm so glad the community has made mods like this one that show us what the bones underneath the jank could have been like. I love scary Freddy, and I wish this game could have been more scary!

all this has done has made me realize just how easy it would have been to make this game scary without changing anything really. They literally could have had the mimic be relevant in SB by explaining that it's wearing the shell of prototype Freddy and it tries to trick you. Maybe on top of always heading towards you sometimes when you summon Freddy the fake Freddy gets teleported nearby and starts heading to you, and it's up to the player to determine whether it's their Freddy or the fake, that would have been SO cool.

Tbf they most likely had another story through unused code, voicelines, and most likely another map setup. For whatever reason, they had to change everything and couldnt get enough time to do it.
Security Breach usually is calming to watch, but this mod made everything different. And I mean *everything.* Even Freddy jump scared me, and I’m not even playing. So this is genuinely the most nerve racking, boot shaking, fear mongering mod ever.

if you play more challenges like this here's my advice: when you save always press to save in different slot, because if you would save and it would softlock you into endless respawn and jumpscare, you could just go to earlier save

This could have helped make a better ending with Burntrap turning Freddy against Gregory while on the main levels. Gregory can't hide because Freddy has the Fazwatch to track Gregory. He's extremely fast and can teleport so he can't get stuck and can always catch up with Gregory, not giving the player a lot of time to think of a plan. Maybe the key to defeating him would be using the other animatronics to distract him.
This would work especially well if the lights were very low, the music stopped completely, and Freddy has a broken form like the others where (at minimum) the outer layer of his mouth area was ripped away, revealing sharp endoskeleton teeth.
