Sadly we'll never hear a finer male voice again . Matt was just simply outstanding , there has never been anyone to touch him. And to think that dreaded illness took him at only 54. God rest his soul, he's missed so much . RIP Matt.

Only just realised that he was singing it "live" with a live audience, dancing to the music.Its almost as if him singing was an afterthought. How lucky were those people.

This man had no vocal training and yet he had the best voice of all the crooners. I've had my Cole, Martin and of course Sinatra moments and still do, however, Matt's voice is faultless and as addictive as can be!. I love you Mr Monroe, you will constantly inspire, uplift and bring bliss and joy into the ears and hearts of millions of people till the end of the world and beyond!.

Hello from the West Midlands
My late parents had a small collection of vinyl albums including Matt Monro sings Hoagy Carmichael recorded in 1962. Almost 60 years old and the sound quality is wonderful.
I do try and "seek out" other albums from local charity shops and antique fairs but have not seen any yet.
This song is one of my top 5 favourite songs Matt sings. Every time i listen to it i just start crying. I cannot explain why but i do. The film was aired last week on TV and every time i watch it i cry.
Such wonderful lyrics by Don and the music by the ICONIC John Barry. What more can i say

@@jumongsingson6888 Hello, the film came out in the 60s. I was a child then so only remembered the song when saw the film back home in UK. I wouldn't know where or when Matt sang it but it was brilliant theme song for the film.
I think it was after the Bill and Virginia McKenna went onto founding their animal foundation called "Born Free" I believe. They also made Ring of Bright Water as a film together. That was about the otter. Virginia is still alive but Bill died some time ago
