Hi Jim. Congrats on the success of Thunder Road. I have to thank you for re-inspiring us to make another no budget feature. We've been racking our brains thinking of what to do next after we made a $500 dollar feature and finished at the end of 2017 and eventually put it up here on RUclips. The answer was here all along. I have no idea who you are but you are brilliant, like Jim Carrey or Vince Vaughn. Very few people can do this. Are you ad libbing, or just making the scripted words sound like you are. This is a gift. Keep going..

We no longer need the gate keepers in the film industry that wouldn't give Welles final cut. We can connect direct to an audience. It's incredible. Great work Jim.
Hahaha, you seem like such a "high octane" temper on this video right in middle of a sudden epiphany, it's lovely to see but I guess this "it's freezing out here" element alss ads it's own touch. Just watched the full feature thunder road, it's a bloody gut wrenching beast of beauty. And yeah, thank you for doing what you do.
I just watched Thunder Road after a friend texted me about it. Easily the best movie of the year. I've never been so conflicted and in between crying and laughing in a movie viewing experience. Really great exploration of learning to accept help.
Thank you for this, I'm sceptical about going to film school, I've been learning by doing short films and reading about storytelling, I don't know what is the most reasonable decision, to stay in my poor country and do a film or leave and spend money on film school, I don't know what to do
@@ExtravaganTV I want to be a director, I want to get all the experience and learn and I know I'll not get it in my country but at the same time I want to set out making a film, but yeah I need to leave, there's no film schools in here
I heard various people say film school didn't help them at all, and that's possible but I find it odd because there is always something you can learn from any school, have at least one teacher out there who gives you great tips from the trade, plus you get to meet other students among whom you might find exactly the right partners for your films. That's what's happening right now to my son, and he's making movies now with a whole crew of schoolmates who share the same values and have a common goal. Of course it's money spent on education instead of investing directly into movies, but it might be worth a lot more in the long run. Some things you can learn by yourself, some things you just can't. It's good no to put all your eggs in the same basket. Go or not go, only you can figure that one out.
Jim, you are very successful in Indy film and you understand what you're talking about, but you don't know anything about big budget movies like Batman vs Superman or any DC universe properties. You don't understand comic books and you always think DC is Marvel universe and will never know. Please stop making it seem like you understand. Batman is NOT going to be an avenger because they are not the same universe and please stop talking trash and sh*t about Batman v Super man because you don't get it and you never will. Both of theier parents are named Martha (Wayne and Kent)...and that is NOT a coincidence. stop trying to show off youre big movie budget becaus you''re never going direct The Flash or Martian Manhunter if i have anything to say about it
