- Did you know the Bates Advanta Saddle can be adjusted in several places to make them fit the rider? They have adjustable stirrup bars and adjustable external knee and thigh blocks. In this video we look at HOW to adjust them and WHAT a DIFFERENCE they make to our rider's position.
There's even a little out-take/blooper section at the end... as it was a bit of a giggly day.
More info about the Bates Advanta Saddles can be found here: bit.ly/3mvUSFf
They retail at about £2,799.
The one in the video is the black/brown version. They're also available in brown OR black.
I'm wearing my Wild Like Her hoodie (www.wildlikeher.co.uk) complete with motivational quote on the wrist ('Take A Breath')... What a shame I forgot to follow my sleeve's advice as I do natter on a bit in this video...

I know I've done a few Bates videos recently - it was because we batch filmed some... it's not cos I am in any way sponsored by them... I promise! No payment was received for this video. I'm happy to do other brands too... if anyone has any ideas, comment below.

this is actually so awesome.... i'll def be looking at bates if i need a monoflap or a dressage because that stirrup bar is so clever
SOOOOO clever!
Love love this video you two did! I'm going to be adding these onto my website for my customers. So extremely helpful to many! Advanta is a fantastic saddle.
Awesome! Thank you! xxx
I looked at this saddle but my fitter preferred another saddle due to the thinness of the panels under my leg area. She wanted the weight of me and the tack to have the most contact square inch of the panels to the back. Super comfy saddle though!
and the leather is super grippy too!
Would love to see a video on the Collegiate, Pessoa and Henri De Rivel brands of saddles! Also I am looking to buy my first CC saddle for my horse, and there are no saddle fitters where I live. Do you ever do FaceTime saddle fittings? Thank you!
Hi, I love your videos, I have a question, I need a really good shock absorbing half pad that’s cheap and high quality, what do you recommend? Thin Line is good?
Thank you for another video! May I ask, what so you think of Fluffs saddlery saddles? I'm about to order a custom monoflap from them and was wondering if you have any experience with them? (:
Honestly, I've never seen one in the flesh, but a quick look at their website says 'our trees are all flexible and will automatically reshape from horse to horse' which makes me feel a little suspicious... I'm not sure how any 'tree' can automatically reshape to a horse... :o
@@ADayInTheLifeOfASaddleFitter oof.... think I'll abort mission. Thanks so much!! 💕
Don’t necessarily abort… just find out more. Maybe ask them about it?
How do you recommend fitting a rider that needs wide waist/twist in the saddle? Are some brands wider then others without breaking the bank?
I bought a saddle with a 6” gullet but it is still way to wide for my tb, what gullet size do you think O should get?
Please can you do a video on the total contact saddle. You will find all the information about it on Facebook I know the total contact saddle community would love you to do a video about it ?
