- Cameras captured the moment an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in Nuseirat, Gaza, on August 17.
Officials from the United States, Egypt and Qatar ended two days of cease-fire talks and expressed hope that a deal could be reached in the 10-month-old war. A joint statement said a proposal to bridge gaps between Israel and Hamas was presented and they expect to work out implementation details next week in Cairo.
The mediation efforts aim to secure the release of scores of Israeli hostages and stop the fighting that has devastated Gaza, where the death toll has surpassed 40,000 and a possible polio outbreak is feared. VOA leaves out of its description that the IDF issued an evacuation warning to residents before striking the building, and that's why the camera was set up to capture the strike.
Leaving out this information, which is readily available, and including that it's a residential building gives viewers the impression Israel is just striking non-military targets for no reason. I highly suspect this is an intentionally misleading framing.

The area was given notice as is legal requirement and Gazans know IDF are targeting any apartments left. they are demoing everything while they have US funds because they think they will be able to rebuild Gaza or themselves.
The guy with the camera was probably filming new destruction, saw the missile and refocused, but maybe IDF gave a heads up, but doubt it as they don't care.

The entire world has tried to help Israel and Palestine find peace. Some have died trying. They refuse to do it. When criminal activity and violence breaks out in other nations over their inability to keep the peace we are done having pity. It was unfortunate Palestinians didn’t get everything they wanted at the end of WW2. It was tough all over after WW2. I guess they thought they would work it out for the sake of peace.
