  • You buy ginger biscuits the world over under many names. In the UK they are called Ginger Nuts. In this video I ride my Honda Cub 90 into the Wiltshire countryside and review the McVitie's Ginger Nuts. I review them based (as is traditional) on their scent, their snap, how they taste dry and how they are dipped into tea.
To reach the review spot I undertake some incredibly dangerous adventure riding, narrowly escaping with my life.
I conclude that ginger biscuits are for almost everyone unless they have bad teeth. What do you think?

Having recently found myself in ownership of a 1964 Honda c100. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos. I have never had any interest in 2 wheeled modes of transport but I concur that a Honda cub is the most fun you can have with wheels and an engine having owned 30+ different cars myself. Subbed for more

I'll know if I spot you out on the by the size of your grin. Glad you've found fun on 2 wheels. Git a top box or a basket?

I can’t wait for the Hobnob review. The danger dip of a Hobnob will be thrilling!

Would you rather see a Honda C90 used or the freshly top boxed SuperCub 125?

Depends... Would there be any amateur stunt man action as there is on the 90? 😉

We have a pressure washer which I use every time I come home. 2 minutes of blasting removes most of the biscuit residue, some flesh and even a tooth if you're lucky.

Good in depth review. Do you think the source of purchase could influence the taste?
Those from a petrol station such as your may have a hint of hydrocarbons whereas those from a supermarket might not?

Who doesn't love a Ginger Nut? Deceptively complex spicy morsel.
May we have a review of the overly indulgent Fox's Triple Chocolate Cookie if you're prepared to risk the sugar coma that may follow?

My plan is to cover the basic biwcuits off first and then advance into complex and compound biscuits. I believe to comment fairly on the complicated end of the scale, I have to ha e a good foundation in the basics.
In time, the fox's empire will be consumed but first, the basics.

does the "best before" date apply to all packets or just your individual one? i reckon i'll be in the market for ginger nuts in 2023 and i'm not sure if i must budget it for january/february to get an intact specimen or if i can wait and save up slowly. cheers

This is exactly the sort of philosophical nightmare of a question I was hoping to avoid. 2 hours after the video goes up, it hits me like a train...
I've not owned every packet of ginger nuts. I assume the only way to find out is to drop in to the McVitie's head office unannounced. Let me know how that goes.
I'd offer you the rest of this packet but I ate them and am now in addiction counselling for what they did to me.
Perhaps another option is crowd funding. If 200 people gave you £0.01, you could get an in date specimen any day of the week.
You could also send an email to the NBA (National Biscuit Association) and ask if they would consider sponsoring you for the 2023 season.
      Hope this helps.

Not for pensioners, hmmm that rules me out then, better stick with my normal diet of minge pies.
