I did the Stop n Swop codes last night and put an album on in the background to pass the time.
This game has such a fun way of inputting cheat codes. So glad they didn't just use a menu. It makes it feel like you are casting a secret spell.
I think there was a menu in tooie but you had to enter them
I love how there's a cheat code to unlock the shock pad and flight pad, with in the same level where you learn to use the shock pad and flight pad. It's charmingly pointless
This game's style is so charming. I remember finding out about the cheat codes as a kid, and the means of inputting them, and just thinking they were so funny and on-brand.

Can you imagine Stop 'n' Swap actually working as originally intended when Banjo-Tooie comes to NSO?
Actually it works on XBLA... But they kinda repurposed it, and they didn't add the multiplayer mode in Banjo Tooie

I had a feeling that the ice key and eggs wouldn't actually work.

The only cheat I'll use aside from Bottles Bonuses and Cheato Spells is the infinite air code. Clanker's Cavern is brutal...
it was the main reason i resorted to cheats in the first place, also rusty bucket bay because fuck that place.

Wishy washy banjo is a really cool transformation because you can’t take damage in the worm sand or in the swamp water… but you can’t use the kazooie ability’s

I used 6 cheats last night, saved and reset the game but my file was still there. When I went back in the game after the reset, the codes were not active, so I just loaded the suspend point to save time from redoing it.

Yep, despite them saying 'Game Pak', it's actually misleading, since it's only the save file that you're playing disables auto-save and cleared. Thankfully the save states help significantly in restoring the save file

Hey, GameXplain, I prefer three codes from Cheato like BLUEEGGS REDFEATHERS and GOLDFEATHERS by talking to Cheato first before going to the sandcastle floor at Treasure Trove Cove to spell BANJOKAZOOIE.
I remember watching this kind of videos in 2010 with my older brother, we we're Afraid of those being like gameshark and then something happening like erasing the savefile or even gruntilda apearing and destroying treasure trove Cove

Nope, the feature has been removed. The items are just relics of the past.
You can grab all those mystery eggs and the ice key with these cheats, but they don't do anything other than sitting in your inventory (unless you're playing the XBox 360 / Rare Replay versions, which restored Stop&Swop to an extent).
How have i never heard about these Bottles cheat codes?

@RockyC93 yup, if you use more than 2 note/world opening cheats, grunty will delete your save.
i wish knew this earlier, but i beat the game 100% now i'm not sure if it's worth it...
Is there a code for 99 joker cards in Grunty's Furnace Fun? I have seen videos of them people playing the furnace and starting off with 99!
Which of these cheats are the ones that are "forbidden" again? I haven't played Banjo-Kazooie in a while (and I refuse to play in on NSO until Tooie is also added), so I've forgotten which ones are allowed and which ones will cause Gruntilda to delete your save file!
When grunty erase my game pak I will not quit when I finish the game I will put a Save slot
all cheats outside of the bottles and cheato ones will only be useable in n64 version

I only used the infinite eggs and feathers codes at the end of the game because Gruntilda kept murdering me. Does that count as beating the game?
how come you didn't include what the stop and swap features actually are? you only covered how to find them, not what they actually did
They don't do anything besides unlock the eggs and ice key, because the feature was never realized in future games like Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Tooie.

Can you enter the infinite air code before getting to Cheato?
IIRC the Cheato codes only work after speaking with the associated book. Speaking with them both tell you the code and unlock it.
Will Stop 'n' Swap work this time, or nah?
Probably nah. It’s likely just easier for Nintendo to directly post the original N64 versions’ ROMs than reverse engineering Stop N Swop.

Just completed the game. Mumbo said the areas are open but they are still shut. Can only open the areas through the cheat codes

The Fact they got the Stop N Swap Items In the NSO version leads me to believe they have Plans on Bringing Banjo Tooie to NSO in the Future
It's just emulating the N64 game... This is all working exactly as it did in the original

@@MDGOLD Correct; use three or more of the "illegal" cheats (world opening ones) and old Grunty WILL delete the file.

I’m only using the cheato, bottles, and stop and swop cheats. I want to 100% this game fair and square.
You guys forgot the cheat code Give The bear lots of air. This is the only cheat code that I use that comes in handy when I am in water levels

But the game was released on the Nintendo Online service less than two days ago.
No, they're smart for covering it now while the game is trending because it just released on the Switch.
