Sure...its a lil corny in spots BUT thats the time period as well. Naw....I think you are gonna enjoy this one!!
Yes, dear, but it is not true. It is only a film and the description is the wishful thinking put in somewhere where it would fit nicely, into this romantic film. There is no afterlife, do not fool yourself. There is however a possibility to live forever here on earth. That is the real hope from the bible and not afterlife. That is a lie propagated through centuries by certain false religious teachings, that are not based on the Bible nor do they show you what it really says and what God's promise is.
I saw this when I was home recovering a broken leg this was on tv and I watched spellbound it’s an extraordinary film stayed with me so glad to find it again
I love the classy Ann Harding and enjoy her performances. She has a regal bearing and a noble quality about her. With her appealing soft voice, she was able to transition from silent movies to the “talkies” successfully.
Absolutely beautiful now I think we know that they where astral travellers. Such an old movie already bringing such wisdom ahead of its time , what a gem of a movie.

The title is Peter Ibbetson Love Gary Cooper...I might watch this one but I think I've seen it and it wasn't well done. I'll definitely give it a whirl soon. Gush Gary Cooper 😍
Man, now wouldn't that be a great concept to share dreams with someone (by choice) while sleeping ... The question then would be who would I want to share my dreams with.
I have shared my dream with my daughter! We were both flying whilst holding hands. There were many things which had happened during this dream and we kept finishing each other's sentences when describing the dream! This had happened ten years ago but I still remember the whole dream. 😊
I find the story line clunky. I loved the beginning and up until Peter and Mary met at her great country home. But the part where they both went out of their bodies and met in some garden was a stretch. What was that all about? It ruined the story. Why could they not just have fast forwarded the film to when they both died and met in Heaven, having been sincere Christians, where "there will be no more sorrow, no more pain and no more separation." That would have made the story more realistic. In any case, I loved the romantic Victorian settings. Thank you.
Negativity…And yet several movies follow the same premise: On Body and Soul (2017) When slaughterhouse workers Endre and Mária discover they share the same dreams, where they meet in a forest as deer and fall in love, they decide to make their dreams come true, but it's difficult in real life. In My Dreams (2014) Natalie and Nick are frustrated with their luck in romance. After tossing coins into a fountain, the two then begin dreaming about each other and stars Katharine McPhee, Mike Vogel
This is the only movie I have seen in which I like Ann Harding. The role seems to being out the best in her. Nonetheless, it is a dreary movie, and the wonderful Gary Cooper is wasted in it.

@nikkipage9132 • I liked the movie at first but, after you said that, I have to agree with you. She should have used her fortune to fight for his acquittal. But, I suppose the original author of the book, George du Marier didn’t like that realistic sort of thing.
If she could not get his acquittal the first time, why do you suppose that money would have made the difference? And in the olden times there was no such thing as to start again the same case in which a valid verdict was passed upon, even if it were the wrong one,
Are you afraid to die? Be ready. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Receive Christ and believe before it is too late.
Unfortunately, too many of those who watched the movie, have not accepted Christ. I pray, dear Father God, you give them clear eyes, to see the folly of this world's deceptions. Jesus, allow them to hear your Truth, before it it too late. Give them a heart to accept YOUR everlasting life, not fantasies. In You Holy Name, Jesus, Amen
This movie, to me, is one of the worst, sappy, picture, I have ever seen. Whatever were the directors and producers thinking of? A movie to rival Wuthering Heights? I am glad to say, I will NEVER watch it again. I hope the roles were not to painful for Anne Harding and Gary Cooper to play. It was painful to watch. I am truly, glad others have enjoyed watching it.

Or who has brought forth the drops of dew? From whose belly comes the ice?
And who gave birth to the frost of the heavens? The waters harden like stone, and the surface of the deep is frozen. Do you bind the bands of Kimah, or loosen the cords of Kesil?
Do you bring out the constellations in its season?
Or do you lead the Bear with its sons?
Do you know the laws of the heavens? Or do you set their rule over the earth?
Do you lift up your voice to the clouds, so that floods of water cover you?
Do you send out lightnings, and they go and say to you, ‘Here we are!’?
Who has put wisdom in the inward parts?
Or who has given understanding to the heart?
Who has wisdom to count the clouds, or to tip over the bottles of the heavens, when the dust hardens in clumps, and the clods cling together? Do you hunt the prey for the lion, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions, when they crouch in dens, sit in the cover of their hiding place? Who provides food for the raven, when its young ones cry to Ěl, and wander about without food?”
Iyoḇ (Job) 38:1-41

❤We must repent and walk straight n righteous through our MESSIAH. Fear is the beginning of His knowledge.

A CASTLE IN THE SKY, THAT'S WHERE LOVERS DREAMS ARE MADE OF! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
OMy JESUS , FORGIVE OUR SINS.
SAVE US FROM THE FIRES OF HELL. LEAD ALL SOULS TO HEAVEN! ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF YOUR MERCY! AMEN.
Good up to the point where Peter is imprisoned. All down hill from there. Too sappy.

I know! Takes a bit away from the experience to have it cut off before "The End."
When we die we best be saved so we can all go to heaven, Corny endng.
But true theology
I don't understand why she didn't use her fortune to get him acquitted for self-defense. Silly movie.
And in the olden times there was no such thing as to start again the same case in which a valid verdict was passed upon, even if it were the wrong one,
What a weird movie...
It's the "waking dream state". It's how you grow your unperceived self for eternity.
Are you afraid to die? Be ready. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Receive Christ and believe before it is too late.
Amen
Unfortunately, too many of those who watched the movie, have not accepted Christ.
I pray, dear Father God, you give them clear eyes, to see the folly of this world's deceptions. Jesus, allow them to hear your Truth, before it it too late. Give them a heart to accept YOUR everlasting life, not fantasies.
In You Holy Name, Jesus,
Amen

Didn't like this one, it lacked substance even as fantasy, it wasn't satisfying
This movie, to me, is one of the worst, sappy, picture, I have ever seen. Whatever were the directors and producers thinking of? A movie to rival Wuthering Heights? I am glad to say, I will NEVER watch it again.
I hope the roles were not to painful for Anne Harding and Gary Cooper to play. It was painful to watch.
I am truly, glad others have enjoyed watching it.
Wow, it’s fantasy. Good to have in these dark days. And they do spend years and years, eternity together. Did you ever watch What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams? My husband has promised he’d rather follow me to hell than live eternity without me. Of course, I’m assured I won’t be going there. Heaven will be a restful and peaceful place with love abundant.
You've not lived your life Alison Dicky. Wake up & live!
Started well....after that the Director didn't know what to do with the film... useless film
This movie is lame and undeserving of the talent of Gary Cooper.
Poor Brenda brown who's never desired anything deeply as to know what's possible.
IT IS A GREAT MOVIE FOR ME IT TAKES ME BACK, TO MY CHILDHOOD. WHICH EVERYONE KNOWS! THAT OUR CHLDHOOD COMES WITH THE GOOD AND THE NOT SO GOOD OF TIMES!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
