**Quick Note** I neglected to mention in the video that I believe all artists should have a Terms of Service page in order to state their comfort levels with what they want to offer. A more extensive page is good if you have a long list or have particular details, however, the important thing is that your clients read them before commissioning you! If you're looking for an example of that, here's my page for reference: www.spiritproductionsart.com/terms-of-service
"...having strangers on the internet describe in graphic detail what they'd want to do to your personal character is kinda creepy" YES! 100 and 10% on this point! A MILLION RED FLAGS!
I first thought you were gonna discuss NSFW could possibly affect your career as an artist you negatively. You could be separated into only a porn artist. I heard many debates behind that argument. I do get it's not for everyone and not everyone is capable of drawing it.
I mean if we're talking industry-wise, a lot of industry artists actually draw NSFW. It does have more of an effect on freelance artists but as far as I'm aware, artists who are hired in the industry don't deal with many issues with it.
I'm a NSFW/fetish artist and I can completely respect anyone who doesn't choose the "lifestyle." To be honest, I haven't drawn anything NSFW in a long time and when I did draw it I wouldn't really use references unless I was completely stumped on how to draw what I wanted to. I didn't draw it for money or even fame (as my subject was very, very niche) so I wasn't worried about making it actually look good. It was a labor of love, and it really helped me improve my art while drawing something I enjoyed. But its like anything, if you don't enjoy drawing it you shouldn't have to (unless you really need/want to), especially if its for your own personal enjoyment. I never dealt too much with creepy comments as I would rarely get any comments anyway. Plus, my characters aren't really direct representations of myself so even if I did get a "creepy" comment, it didn't really affect me. The worst I get are "ew why did you draw this" and those are easy to ignore. I have a little concern that my NSFW/fetish art could affect how people see me, especially if I choose to draw SFW art. I've been heavily considering making a (SFW) story/comic but I don't want any potential readers to be like "ew, they draw fetish stuff" and not give it a chance. Though I guess I also don't really care, as I have friends who indulge in fetishes that I don't care for but that doesn't mean that we're not good friends, so I guess anyone not willing to give my SFW content a chance is just not really worth pursuing. Sorry for the long comment, I seem to have had more thoughts on this topic than I originally thought I did.
My advice for your concern for NFSW having a negative impact on your SFW work would be making two separate accounts with one being for your NSFW and other being for your SFW.
My thoughts on nsfw art is pain just utter torment trying to get the anatomy right while trying new style to stand out from the crowd and gain a following. And for anyone that wants to gets into this here's a pro tip all you need is to hone your art skills and a truck load of masochism and even with that there's no guarantee that you'll make it, sex doesn't sell but skill does.
"This video will probably get demonetized" I don't see why, you're just talking about your opinion from a neutral stand point. That would be like trying to demonetize Michelangelo's David just for nudity.
I have a friend of mine who is an nsfw artist and from what he told me, I would say that a lot of things you describe is true, it is something one should count in when/if he desides to go in this direction, you must be kinda... underatanding that there will be a dudes who will describe things you may not be pleased to hear and it is important to declare your boundaries right away. Overall I would say that in order to be nsfw artist you need to have a thicker skin, but your clients are typically understand that it's unethincal and willing to put more money on the table to get what they want, so if you need a money and you have a thick skin then it could be a decent option for you and if you live in a poorer country this bussiness would be able to bring you a lot of money (by local standarts) even if you have small amount of people willing to order a commission.
I remember once considering what the difference is between porn and erotica, and came up with this gem: erotica is basically porn, but with an art degree.
The cool thing about drawing nsfw imo is that I meet people literally willing to spend around 50 to 100$ in one commission, which is wow. And since I don't put any restrictions on what I would be willing to draw, some peeps offers me quite a lot. (I draw both nsfw and sfw art. )
I just recently made the decision to go forward with creating NSFW via a side account, completely disconnected from my main. Its just a personal dump where I can store all of my lewd art that I don't want to post on my main. I was inspired to finally make the plunge after following one of my favorite NSFW/hentai artist- Typpo8/ optionaltypo; as well as seeing how much more money I could charge for commissions doing them.
I draw it because I like it but can see why people don't aside from personal reasons and it can also hurt your image if you're worried about that kind of thing.

"Number 1: Eh I just don't really feel like it"
Biggest of moods Spirit that I can agree with . XD
No matter what the reason is, you’re valid! Draw whatever you want and don’t draw what you don’t
I totally understand why you wouldn't want to. Just keep doing what you wanna do! Don't change something about you that you don't want to do or be!

I looked at the title, and was like "Oh No!"
