That note in Jack's voice, the ever so slight indication that even he, a ...man of particular and expansive abilities is not comfortable with the railway man. That was fantastic 😁

Note, family, that Nathaniel Locke is NOT the Railroad Man. Two separate characters.

@@OldGodsofAppalachia I thought he was TRM but then hearing Nathaniel Locke's name after "Holiest Days of Bone and Shadow"...I need to review the time line

I snorted my coffee when you said "couldn't stand the thought of any poor critter going hungry.... even if they were geese." I feel the same way about chickens.... gram used cleaning the coop as a punishment.... and there was also a ninja rooster that hid in the trees and attacked whenever it wanted to scare the he'll outta you....

Talking about things passed down from Grandparent to Parent to Child: there's a jar of something Mama always called Black Grease. She'd put it on just about any wound a child could get -- whether it be from stick-sword-fighting, old gravel-tar road bicycle-fall-rashes, dirt bike riding mishaps or red dirt-clod fights. She always said the same stuff was in jar when SHE was a girl... I still have some stored in an old Noxema jar here in Australia. I've often wondered: what in the world is it?

I know exactly what Tommy felt like, when you crawl out the pot only to fall in the fire 🔥…life is a box of chocolates 🍫 and somehow I kept getting the gross dark ones 😃 that just means all the good ones are for the end 😀

Tommy is gonna be fine. This is the story of the time Jack screwed over the railroad people and god himself trapped and rotting.

If I only were clever enough to make a metaphor about tracking a Wolfpack and not realizing they're hunting you
