It's mind blowing. Seeing and hearing these TV shows and even the commercials. Back when I was a kid it seemed like they would always be there and things would be like they were forever. Then one day you wake up and your old. Things that you used to use in everyday life are now displayed in the windows of antique stores. You live the days of your youth unable to truly appreciate how great a time it really was. So, now your old and all that you knew is forever irretrievable. Your world, the world you knew so well, is gone and the this world as well as the future are strangers that grow ever more strange with each day pasing.
Wow, that was a well thought out comment. And so true. I do wish I could go back in time and relive those moments with a new appreciation. But I can't and those days are gone forever, as you said. All we can do is watch old movies and TV shows and reminisce. I would urge you though to concentrate on the positives in the modern world (such as car air conditioning, seat belts and drive-thru windows ... we didn't have any of that when I growing up) and don't dwell on the negatives. The world is only worse if you perceive it that way.
3:01 How did ABC end up filming at a CBS studio? :? 11:55 This is a 1983 promo Fred. "9 to 5" the series debuted in 1982, and this promo featured the season 2 premiere. :)
Whoa! More goodies! Yay!😁 But hold on Fred, I'm still trying to catch up from the other stuff you posted! You know what? Never mind that, bring on the nostalgia goodies!🙌
You're lucky, Curtis. I've got a dozen more I could slam you with now! But I'm rolling them out slowly so as not to stuff you too full of goodies all at once.
FredFlix Fred! Fred! Fred! I said that I was going to wait and watch this one later, but I couldn't help it and what did I see? Starsky and Hutch!!!! Three's company! Happy days! Six million dollar man! Vegas! and a show I haven't see in many years...Soap!! You made me spill my popcorn, getting excited, whew! I sincerely love it Fred and you have more?!! No way! Get outta town! Wait, you are outta town huh? Oops! But wait, let me watch some more of your other stuff. Hey I know! Curtis, I love your comments. Funny stuff! Check out Promo Palooza 13 for more 1970s flavor. And as for posting a new video Friday night, I'll try to make that happen!
FredFlix You love my comments? You think I'm funny? Why thank you but I'm just being me. Let tell you something Fred, you have made me a happy man. You've brought back a lot of wonderful memories that warms my heart. Do you realize what you're doing? Making total strangers smile and that's a good thing, keep it up! So if I'm funny to you and can make you smile. Well I guess I'm returning the favor, thank you Fred!😉
Well, Curtis, of course by "funny" I mean fun! AND funny. So we both gave each other a smile. Not to get too philosophical, but we're all connected, many parts of one whole, what some call the "cosmic latticework." So by warming your heart I warm the whole heart, including mine.
God how i miss the 2970s tv promos today's tv sucks All those shows mentioned here are no more Farrah faucet and Lee majors are dead Howard cosell is dead All the celebs mentioned here are dead and tv has gone cable now what a shame these ole days if television are now long gone

I love these! This is largely an Ernie Anderson Fest!
17:17 the Enterprise in a Mork and Mindy promo? How did they get away with it, unless they had syndication rights for both at the time.
Both shows were owned by whatever Paramount calls it self these days
sarysa I never noticed that before. :)

I remember ITV airing Soap on Sunday nights. Then BBC-2 showed the film Little Big Man and we all noticed Richard Mulligan (Burt) as General Custer!
It's a shock to see Mulligan play another other than the Soap character.

You're welcome, Brenda!
Brenda, some of your comments on other videos I am technically unable to reply to. I don't know why.Just letting you know.
Awesome Fred!
I appreciate that, Nosebone!
End Of Part One also spoofed the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries as 'The Nancy Boys and Hardy Drew Mysteries'.
Fredflix you da man! But you do know there was another Saturday Night show that was live premiering around that time, don't you?
Of course. SNL (the one we all know and love) premiered on my 21st birthday in 1975 (Oct. 11).
Anyone know why Mrs. Columbo was retitled Kate Loves A Mystery?
If I remember correctly, wasn't Mrs. Columbo murdered in a Columbo episode?
