I think Lion has the shield because he's the duelist, it forces him to see and do things differently. Same with Roboute, an administrator given a warriors weapon.
@@inquisitorgrynthebandito2736I mean, depending on how close they want to track historical Scandinavian lore, a cloak would be VERY appropriate for Russ.
I think it's interesting that the relics Guilliman and The Lion wield shore up the gaps in their war kit and are emblematic of their purpose in the new Dark Imperium. Guilliman launched a new crusade, an offensive blade strike against the enemies of humanity. The Lion and his protectorate seeks to shield humanity from the darkness of the 41st millennium. Makes me wonder what awaits future returned Primarchs. Hope it continues to subvert expectations. I've also thought for a while that the flames of the Emperor's sword aren't solely being fueled by his power. The Dark Imperium trilogy brings up the fate defying power of Guilliman's will more than a few times. I think that fire within is Gulliman's influence on the warp manifesting and also fueling the sword along with his father.
it's a solid explanation for why they got the weapons they did. Although in reality I think this happened because GW hadn't planned the story far enough ahead.
I think it shouldn't even be an artifact or weapon for each of them exactly. He just left a path for them, the mission, as part of His plan. For some He may leave instruction, for other knowledge, for another - a place? Ability to move (though Lion have it)? Brothers? Solutions? Wisdom? Opportunity? It could be anything, part of bigger game.
I agree with the reverted expectation trope. It would appear that the primarchs are going to be all over the galaxy as they make their returns. And it should be noted that many of them have been through some "opportunities for personal growth" So any of the emperors wargear that they get is to shore up a deficiency rather than enhance whatever their "best" feature may be. While little is directly said about their construction, the primarchs in a nutshell are the best possible meat suits for a bunch of warp spawned "Platonic Ideals" that managed a certain amount of conciousness because belief gets you power in the warp. Just look at the (relative) tiny amount of humans (and others) that exist within the tau empire. And from that we get a warp manifestation of "The Greater Good". So how hard is it for the Emperor (as 8000 psykers in a human looking Tenchcoat) to go to Moloc and bargain with those warp entities/minor gods/ancient animal spirits/jungian archetypes that for whatever reasons dont much care for the 4 major chaos powers. and somehow got 21 of them to sign up for the finest possible *human* suit in exchange for fealty to not just an emperor but The Emperor. Master of *Human* kind. (that last bit was a bit sticky for some) Sure Guilliman is wrapped up in roman splendor (because WG writers are brits) but he could just as much be an embodiment of the Han Celestial Bureaucracy. Take everything you (and everyone else) thinks they know about ravens and bundle it up in one primarch named Raven Raven. Spooky stories about predators that gain eternal life by consuming the life blood of others are as old as fire so of course you get vampire counts in space or Sanguineous. The once and future king of yore and all the regality that inspires is the Lion of course.
I agree; I think it's actually far more interesting when the gifts aren't the 'obvious choice'. IE, Vulcan getting a flamer or Corvax getting some stealth cloak would all be pretty disappointing and bland. Oh look Corax is now more Corvus. Kinda shallow. If they got something that adds breadth to the primarchs, that would be far more interesting.
"And to my unknowable but undeniably loyal son Jaghatai I bequeath the dark age of technology lightspeed megabike Incineratus, may he continue to run laps around the enemies of humanity as the only thing that cuts deeper than his perfect strikes are his merciless insults!"
@mikeseymour1792 na, there's others who can do the talking in a way that people don't feel threatened or intimidated. Sometimes the best thing a guard dog can do is lay quietly in the corner and watch.
Dont forget dorn collected a pair of hands from alpharius prior to introducing storms teeth to his skull. Dorn may well have both of his hands. They have retconned the status of dorns body several times. Once from being a whole body preserved in amber and then to just a hand with chapter masters names engraved upon it. I can see a further retcon where the hand was alpharius all along.
I think the cloak should go to whichever twin primarch is a loyalist be it alpharius or omegon. That seems like it would be a good fit given the cloak and dagger style of the alpha legion
They're already good at that, the Emperor's gifts seem to subvert each Primarch's style, to force them to change it up. So Alpharius or Omegon get the Emperor's blingiest item, or maybe the loudest- the Emperor's B.C. Rich guitar collection, along with Big E's Big Amps. The Noise Marines shake with jealousy.
All the Primarchs and even Emperor had so many weapons and relics they used. His claw is going to Corax 100%. His spear will be given to Russ, to make him Odin of Warhammer, he just needs to loose an eye.
I feel like Leman Russ is going to come back at the same time as corax and they've probably met up in the warp giving the whole Odin and his seeing Raven theme
Obviously, Corax gets the talon because he's like a literal bird now and Dorn gets the gauntlet because of course the Imperial Fist gets a literal imperial fist.
I posted it just a few minutes ago but in a new space wolf book during a battle ragnar blackmane throws russ's spear into the warp and into magnus's eye closing a hole into the warp. So its in thousand son warp territory rn, if russ gets it back theres plenty of story potential on retrieving it right now but right now its unlikely hes going to get it back soon(if he returns soon)
I foresee that the emperor's gifts being some sort of balance and lesson for them. The Lion needs to learn that sometimes defending is the best thing he can do and Guilleman needs to learn to strike when the iron is hot so to speak.😊
I like the idea of the Kahn getting the emperor’s halo that acts as a warp beacon and he becomes the emperor’s comet flying across imperium nihilus stitching that part of the galaxy back together, and Dorn getting the claw could represent him having to make his sons more proactive and having to struggle with the fact that he’s started asking himself what would perturabo do against this threat
Im pretty sure it's hinted that Russ has psychic gifts already, his howl makes Thousand sons literally explode and he seems to have a very high immunity to psychic attacks hence why he bodies an enraged Magnus on Prospero. It would make sense too as if Russ was made to kill other primarchs he'd need to be able to combat their special gifts too
@@aligaterr5137 I've never thought of that but you might be onto something there. Psychic powers in warhammer are based on belief, orks believe red ones go faster so they do, Rune Preists and Stormseers believe they're not channelling the warp but the planets spirit or the storm and that seems to make it true. Maybe Russ' or the fenrisians latent powers have manifested as the wolf spirits they believe in.
@@tra779 as far as I understand it, rune-priests channel warp stuff though Morkai as a middleman of sorts, instead of from warp directly, that is why they don't label themselves as librarians.
Yeah there's a bit in one of the Chris Wraight books I can't remember which one I think it's the first of the trilogy he did, where a navigator talks about how the Space Wolves belief that their talismans protect them actually mean they work and they insinuate that the beliefs of the rune priests might work in a similar way. It's been a while since I read it though
It's an pretty awesome little scene when Lion takes up the shield for the first time. When he feels how incredibly powerful and aware of everything the Emperor was even as a human back in the days. The thing that bothers me is that they haven't explained or mentioned his new power armor. It doesn't feel like it's the armor he's wearing when he wakes up, based on the little description we get there.🤔
Vulkan gets... a flamer. With holy psyker fire, something he can't forge. That can permanently kill demons and melt even necrons, but doesn't harm loyalists.
That like perfect. Doe ... I kinda wonder if Vulcan found the Dark Age of Tech setup Big E had. Or like a Codex he set aside for someone to use later on.
I hope so, that is funny Edit: it might be the helmet really, imagine Ferrus's body revived, his soul re-attached and his head is a slightly above neck floating (undecapitable) helmet. His brain (secretly) replaced by machinery and althought Ferrus would be back, it would be artificial version of his (granted with his OG soul) that would lack emotions and humanity, finishing the circle of tragedy of iron hands, as he would not fix their mentality but even more solidify it.
The smirk you do when you tell Guilliman says he's going to kill Nurgle, it shows how much you can"t wait for that to be told ; and what incredible story this will be. Your passion for this lore is really REALLY communicative mate, thanks so much for that !
It's like poetry, it rhymes. Having Horus' descent start with a fake Seganus and having it end with a fake Loken was glorious. I do hope Sanguinius and Ferrus never come back and rather continue to exist and impact the setting as ghosts and legends. The final moment of Ferrus guiding Sanguinius to the fight was incredible.
What sacrifice did Sanguinius make. According to the new lore, all he did was die. He didn't create a nic in the armor to aid in horus' defeat and the emperor had already removed his emotions before seeing him.
His death is the sacrifice... he knew he was going to die from the very beginning, but still went willingly because the alternative was forsaking his father and turning to chaos. He sets an example for the surviving loyal sons and the rest of the imperium.
The old lore was always meant to be potentially unreliable and romanticized mythology, hence the frequently contradictory tales. This is why the new novels kill a lot of the aura for outright saying what actually happened.
@@hpph7133 And for the better as now Horus is actually the threat he was hyped up to be. Though there's a hint that he was posessed by the 4 when Horus decided to stop playing around

@@jeremyhess7977if its to be believed that spear was thrown by ragnar blackmane into the warp and into magnus during an invasion of a planet in the book grey hunter part of ragnar blackmanes book series
Are you on the theory train that the forces of order and faith will get a pantheon? Ragnar Blackmane briefly wielded the Spear. He cast it into Magnus’ Eye and it was lost when the Daemon Primarch fell back through the portal. I would be surprised if we don’t see an Axe show up eventually. Ferrus is the primarch the imperium needs most right now. Think how much he could boost guilliman or the lion. He’s the support of the imperium
Wrt Leman Russ. If Leman Russ is coming back as Odin, then we need to remember that Odin's signature weapon is Gugnir, his spear. Leman already has a spear, the Apollonian spear. That might really be his gift from the emperor. Wrt to Dorn, the power claw makes the most sense. Wrt to the Khan, the cloak might enhance his combat abilities. By literally becoming an invisible speedster. And it somehow fits. I dunno why. Corax might get the bolter. A long distance sniper with the emperor's bolter perhaps? Wrt to Vulcan, the Halo might make the most sense. Enhance the defense of the primarch who dies a lot.
The lion received the shield with one part of the eagle. It would make sense if Lehman Russ returned with a blinded eagle on his Wargeae to reinforce the Odin metaphor
Odin was more than one eyed. And i know people tend to make the Pack into Vikings, but Lemann and Odin are vastly different. Odin is the allfather and considered the wisest being in the nordic legends, a reserved and just god. he even nailed himself to yggdrasil for a few days to gain runic and magic knowledge. Yes Odin was fierce on the battlefield too, but the similarities pretty much end there. Lemann is Odin on Crack. edit: Thor. I knew i was missing an obvious one.
@@leonhardable I was talking about the part of the video where he mentions that Lehman may come back as more of an Odin type figure whereas he was more a Thor type of figure in the heresy
The Spear of Russ is sorta a reference to Leman Russ beginning to change from Thor to Odin in the Lore. We know Russ doesn't like using it originally, but now it has connections to the King in Yellow, so I'd not be surprised to find out that the Spear of Russ actually is a Force Weapon that Russ could naturally tap into by his connection with the Warp
Vulcan gets the big E’s lab coat. Russ gets the claw to shoot lightning like the Emperor. ( Odin/Thor) Dorn gets the Emperors Aegis to restore his body and mind after blaming himself for failing his father and humanity, also for losing to Perty. Kahn the Emperors super bike Corax maybe his wreath to focus that warp raven power, he can only use that form in the warp or am I mistaken?
What about Vulkan getting big E’s smithing gear to imbue abilities into the left over scraps of armor? So he could make Dorn a power fist. Also, what about Dorn getting the helmet? 1 - it’s the only thing missing from his gear in the last model and would match 2 - it would give him foresight the would make his tactical acumen even more impressive 3 - him going into battle without anyone being able to see his face/emotions would match with his stoic personality.?!
I'm gonna say it. Judge me if you want. I love Sanguineous. I want him to come back and im tired of pretending i dont... *Takes long drag from cigarette.* *Exhales.* We live in a society...
Perhaps Vulcan will receive the emperors left goblet. Simply because it’s quite likely that when he returns, he will still have tremendous energy left over from the great wog. And will need a way to either suppress it, or direct it.
🤔 Corax or Dorn (if still alive/ one-handed) should get the Emperor's talon lightning claw. Also the spear was given as a gift to Russ. So I don't count it as part of the Emperor's wargear. However, after Russ disappeared, the Wolves found his armor during one of the great hunts at some daemon world. What if Russ gets the Emperor's golden armor?
another video amazing.. love your vidoes man i cant stop watching them , cant wait for more streams and colabs i love the way GW retcon stuff in 40k without actually deleting anything.. if the story needs to change then they will say the info they had the story they use to know was wrong and this is the correct thing or whatever u get what im saying ?
Guilliman & The Emperor's Sword on when he got it & its Daemon killing is a bit unclear since he stabs Magnus I believe with it on Luna so either it is something like a Psychic power vs Psychic power thing or that wasn't his sword. I am still a fan of him getting it from the Emperor after visiting him. I am guessing it is a tiny bit of the armour is put into the Crux, and the additions are what will be given. Khan with the Bolter, because him on a Bike using the Bolter would be really cool, as well I believe the last place it was scene or at least mentioned was the novel " The Master of Mankind" where the Emperor fought in the Webway so it could be just established the Bolter was left there and the Khan who is in the Webway finds it. Dorn getting the Claw, ya missing hand to be replaced, but as well the Claw is probably the 2nd most recognized thing the Emperor used under his Sword so the Imperial Fists Primarch getting it feels right while the Ultramarines's Primarch getting the Sword. Russ and the Spear, ya just we all know the things for it mentioned, most likely while he was gone he understood his Primarch gifts more so the Spear feels more natural to him. Corvus having the Cape & Pauldrons, really just bits to help him keep his Warp form to be able to stay in real space he will use his new powers for his weapons and abilities. Vulkan finally with the Halo, where it will play a role in keeping his sanity. I believe there will be 1 more Primarch to come back before any reunion, if you look through the Horus Heresy most significant Loyalist Primarch groupings were in groups of 3, I believe that will play a role in it, and the planet they will meet on is Armageddon (Ullanor).
I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the whole pandemonium part of Valdor being possibly tied into here. Since both Valdor and Russ are linked by their spears
If they bought back konrad curze I can see him getting the cloak. I just finished his primache book and it mentions him always just wearing a cloak of feathers, plus like you mentioned, he hates his brother because of his natural steath. And that cloak would make him true batman of 40k. It never mentions his death either... I don't think just that he is waiting for it. I am still pretty new, so I could be wrong.
Going with the idea that the emperor's new gifts are setting the precidents for the new roles of the primarchs, gulliman getting the sword as a revenger who's striking back against chaos, lion getting the shield as a guardian who is protecting people and even his own fallen sons, I'd like to think that the gifts the others recieve could be entirely unexpected and something which changes them in a big way. If Dorn was away performing some secret mission for the Emperor, perhaps he actually got the cloak and that allowed him to apply subtle and stealthy tactics which were never really his forte previously. The crown/wreath going to Russ and granting him a clarity of mind and defence against being influenced would make sense to me, as he was known to act without much thought previously. It would force him to view himself no longer as just a weapon and to decide his own battles without being told what to do or tricked into them. I think he will give the spear to someone else, he never liked it anyway. Strangely enough, I feel like Apharius could have it. The master of trickery and deception getting a spear which reveals truth would be quite interesting. Khan recieving the eagle is a really cool image which I hope comes true. If that is the case, I think the thing he was always missing was teamwork and cooperation with his brothers. He was always the outsider primach and distanced himself, which kinda lead to a lack of action being taken during the heresy. Perhaps the eagle might have more of a messenger role or something, showing Khan that he can't just stand alone anymore. Corax is very hard to decide on because it's not even clear what he is anymore. Perhaps the bolter just as a reminder. He's spent so long in the eye as some bizzare warp entity, it's possible he'll need a reminder of the foundations which the astartes legions were built on. I think Vulkan getting some portion of the armor would make sense, for him to reforge himself. It could even be symbolic if he wears it of the emperor telling him to protect himself. He's well known for throwing himself into the enemy to protect others but perhaps he needs to value himself more and be more strategic in the way he protects, especially after Kurze used this nature of his to torture him in the maze. And Ferrus can get the claw because he deserves some revenge.
I think that the symbolism from who get which gift is this. The Lion gets the shield because he is the one who will end up being seen as the defender of the Imperium. Guilliman gets the sword because he is the one who will defeat the enemies of the Imperium. This is all around their actions but I can see this playing out. I say defeat the enemies, and by that I mean strengthening the Imperium so it can be a lasting victory.
Like for warpieces from Roboute and the Lion, I think it will be to compensate the lacks of each Primark. So yes, Corvus won't have a cloak bc he is stealth incarnated, he should have a tool to destroy chaos power/barrier. To make him the unstoppable hunter.
One thing I can see happening (I haven't wathced 100% yet, only 19 mins in atm) is the ol' rowboat passing the sword on to Jaghatai once the Kahn comes back with something else that is more fitting for Guilliman, perhaps one of the two spears? I think it's more then obvious who the claw would fit with the best, but I can see Rogal coming back with a new hand. A claw if you will. One of the spears would probably go to Vulcan, and Corvus could have the cloak, maybe it works like Meta Knight's where it can be wings or a cape? All in all, the Lion/Shield, Guilliman/Gauntlets, Jaghatai/Sword, Leman/Spear #1, Rogal/Claw, Vulcan/Spear #2, Corvus/Cloak. That's my prediction. Ferrus would get the armour minus the gauntlets tho. I mean, there's not much he can use, and he is the primarch of the *Iron Hands*, so those are covered too. Literally and figuratively.
The sword and sheild of the imperium! Imagine if the lion had both. The "god slayer" lion. But i cant wait to see the great devourer come across the lion and his legion. I know some still want revenge on guil and the blood angels? Not 100% sure about that though so forgive me if i got that wrong😅 now they got another set of angels to worry about! Ironic the empire builder got the sword and the lion got a sheild but this just solidifies the old ways of knights the dark angels home world. Can see corvus getting the emperors power claw, russ has one of the spears already too. Vulcan with some of the emporeros armor. Hes always been a protector of man so boost his armor stat up and i think it would be a good way to end mortarion. Fire is the purifier with help of G man they could end nurgle and his followers. Vulcan im curious to see return though as it would be interesting to see him back after everything that has happend to humanity and how heart broken he is gona be to see how much has went to waste and the attitude of many legions miss treat the people they were born to protect. I really wana see the khan and russ come riding out of a warp portal on an un currupted void whale shouting "BROTHERS!!! FOR OUR FATHER, FOR OUR PEOPLE, FOR HUMANITY WE SHALL FELL THIS FOE AS WE DID IN THE PAST!" Thank you so much for the content as always. Always makes my sunday having your lore and great knowledge feed my tiny brain while i cook sunday dinner. Stay golden sir 🫡
If they bring Ferrus Manus back (and I'm ambivalent about it), I want to see him come back as a Primarch Dreadnought, probably equipped with at least one of the Emperor's Dark Age weapons mounted on it. I could also see Rogal Dorn getting the Emperor's armor (the whole Crux Terminatus thing just being a myth that the Astartes believe) since it not only fits his archetype of being a castellan and defender, but the gold armor fits the Imperial Fists aesthetic better than any of the other First Founding chapters' except for possibly the Blood Angels.

I posted part of this in a reply, but felt that it should be a comment all by itself. Of items that a Primarch could get, Leman should get the cloak. For a few reasons, both in lore and outside of lore. 1) If i remember correctly, one of the first things noticed about the Emperor when he showed up to Fenris, was him being cloaked or concealed. This would be an excellent call back to that. 2) As mentioned in the video, the gifts seem to be shoring up a Primarch's weaknesses, rather than expounding on their strengths. Leman shouldn't get a weapon, as for all intents and purposes, he was a fairly decent fighter. He also wasn't known as a duelist, as the Lion was, and in fact tried to use his men in strategic ways to teach lessons on at least one occasion. 3) A cloak will not seem out of line with his current (30k) rainment, so that wont cause disparity. 4) Real World lore, a specific use of a cloak was an important piece of actual Scandinavian lore, that being linked to a chieftain spending days underneath one in rumination refarding the future of Iceland, a land which has a few parallels with Fenris. Speculative reasonings: Choice a) Leman comes back haggard from his time in the warp. He still takes the fight to the foes of Humanity, but by being cloaked in a form that is non-descriptive and wielding a spear that can provide wisdom to those struck, he can fulfill his character arc. Choice b: Leman spent a lot of time in the warp. Just like Corvus has been altered, Leman has been altered. His outshell is more beast than man, and the cloak helps conceal this. Just thoughts.
Khan looked down pensively at the crate, golden eagles emblazoned on the sides with rich jewels and silver filigree along its edges. He ran his heavy hands across the surface, sensing the power emanating from within. Slowly he unfastened the garish clasp of the chest and began creaking the lid up. As he did so, a bright golden beam of light spilled out from within the box, cutting through the heavy fog of the Webway and filling the chamber with a soft amber glow that grew more and more radiant as the box opened fully. Squinting his eyes in response to the nova-like brilliance of the box’s contents, the shape slowly came into focus as his Gen-hanced eyes adjusted rapidly to his newfound treasure. It was then he took notice of the runic wards etched along the sides of his father’s gift, studded in pure psionic pearl, were the sigils ‘HEELIES’.”
Cypher recieves the Emporer's cloak. And reveals himself to be Omegon the last living Primarch of the Alpha legion. With the death of his traitorus brother Alpharius. Omegon would carry out the empoeror's wrath from the shadows. The redemption of the Alpha Legion.
Vulkan gets access to the Emperor's personal workshop, makes a TTS device, boom no more word vomit on his part, clear and concise sentences for all to hear.
What if Vulkan is given the Emperors own forging hammer/tools. Also someone and you mentioned Russ having the halo for psychic protection, but doesn’t he already have that instead ability? The emperor trained him to control it didn’t he? It’s also why he has the ability to beat Magnus in the heresy.
my theory with Sanguinius solves the oddity of how Dante has never fallen to the Red Thirst. And we can thank Girlyman for this, but a piece of Sanguinius soul was used to make the Sanguinor I suspect Dante is a partial reincarnation of Sanguinius, either the piece not used to make the Sanguinor, or the piece used in the Sanguinor. And to raise Sanguinius again Dante and the missing piece of Sanguinius must be reunited with the body. Which means Dante will probably have to die to get him back.
Be interesting to me if Rogal Dorn is guarding the void dragon since one of the fan theories as to where he is is on Terra guarding the emperor since he feels ashamed for failing to reach the bridge in time.
Wonder which other of his potential gifts could grant true death to the daemons of the Warp, maybe just his sword but the rest of the wargear has to have some broken effects to more or less be at that level, I guess being able to tank Angron's blows (and its auto-counter ability) may already being enough to put the shield right there but it would not surprise me if that's just the surface of its potential.
The spears were to me, a wonderful detail. In the lore. People naturally crave the details, we've been so, so lucky because we have decades of gradual lore at our fingertips right now, so waiting patiently has become for lack of a better term, a forgotten trait that made the lore so enjoyable. The spears to me are a perfect pace, it says, "I'm a special relic, this is what I do, this is how I work, you don't know why I was created, or what my destiny entails, but I have been important in the begining and I'll be important in the end", and I love that.
Sanguinius should not come back until the end times…as himself. The way to make best use for him is to say that his soul (our at least most of it) was bonded to the fragment of the emperors soul that would be called the star child. This is the perfect way to bring the star child to the battlefield and have sanguinius back. Basically you get a character that is basically what the shaman theory of the emperor is but this time it’s the emperors humanity and sanguinius. This allows the blood angels to sort of get their primarch while not diminishing his death. The story could then be about this new being learning how the world works and tempering his love for humanity with duty where the sanguinius side of the soul would act as the adult teaching the star child how one can be human but also true to their duty. It also fits a bit thematically since star child can mean the best child. The most appropriate description of sanguinius is the best child and now that child must teach the human aspect of his father that humanity is not something that must be separated from duty. This allows for Long long term (20+) years the plot to be about getting the rest of sanguinius’ soul together so that he can have the star child reunite with the emperor after it has learned how it can be an important part of his decision making and how important long for humanity is to leadership. Then you can even have it be that this thing that should be the end and should save the imperium actually causes problems as the emperor is filled with all the guilt and sadness and self loathing that would naturally happen when he sees what his plans have done and is forced to deal with that as the human aspect of himself reasserts its influence. TLDR: sanguinius can come back as part of the star child which is good for elongating the plot and allows GW to sell 2 models as opposed to 1
What if Vulkan is the one who left the shield for the Lion, like Vulkan is the one working with the emperor in a way by creating these weapons/gifts from the Emperors armor for the Primarchs?
Maybe the Cloak of the Emperor let's the user gain his ability to appear as what they need to appear as letting Corax still appear in his human form, not the Demonic Raven. Maybe he could take on other appearances as well.
Their is an unknown amount of weapons that the emperor have dorn could get a power fist or the the bolter of the emperor instead of the power claw or the do something in the lion son of the forest like he finds a power fist with robot attachments inside it Corvus would get him power claw of the emperor or maybe lightning claws and also leman doesn’t have it was given to bjorn the feel handed but Ragnar Blackmane used it to stop a ritual and stabbed the eye of Magnus and now the spear is lost in the warp so leman could get the claw to go with his wolf aesthetic vulkan could get a hammer and Jaghatai khan could get the motorcycle of the emperor
I dont know if someone else has said this yet but in the space wolves novel "grey hunter" russ's spear actually was placed on the death spot of one of his original wolf brothers and it became a holy site protected by the space wolves for the day russ comes back he would retrieve his spear for the wolf time. However in that novel magnus is trying to take over the planet it is on and during a battle between thousand sons and space wolves there is a portal connected straight to magnus as hes trying to come to real space and ragnar blackmane throws russ's spear into the portal and into magnus's one eye, breaking his concentration and closing the connection to reality. So no clue if russ will ever see the spear again but thats where it is in current day.
Sanguinius was set up to be the new Emperor after the heresy, so if he returns what if he received the Emperor's golden laurel wreath formed into a crown?
They bent over backwards to make it so even sang Horus and ferus could come back they are all coming back and getting one of daddy’s tools. Sanguineous sacrifice was already wasted he did nothing not even buy time Horus was just waiting for the big E they could give the laural reath to the sanguinor to stabilize him in real space for longer amounts of time and bring more of sanguinious soul back to him at this point the sanguinor seems to be about as strong if not stronger than of sanguinous

And Sanguinius will get The emperors armor.
And it should be noted that many of them have been through some "opportunities for personal growth"
So any of the emperors wargear that they get is to shore up a deficiency rather than enhance whatever their "best" feature may be.
(that last bit was a bit sticky for some)
Sure Guilliman is wrapped up in roman splendor (because WG writers are brits) but he could just as much be an embodiment of the Han Celestial Bureaucracy.

I think the cloak should go to whichever twin primarch is a loyalist be it alpharius or omegon. That seems like it would be a good fit given the cloak and dagger style of the alpha legion

What would Corax and loyal Alpharious/Omegon get then?
Emperor's talon confirms Corax is coming back.

@@aligaterr5137 I've never thought of that but you might be onto something there.

Guilliman & The Emperor's Sword on when he got it & its Daemon killing is a bit unclear since he stabs Magnus I believe with it on Luna so either it is something like a Psychic power vs Psychic power thing or that wasn't his sword.
If Magnus were to be loyal again, I bet the emperor just hands him the throne, or probably not can't trust him to do nothing

The speculation quickly recalibrated to the wargear strengthening their strengths. It seems like the first 2 shored up weaknesses.
Hi Sandman terranicus.
Khan gets something like a sniper rifle, something that keeps him still and focused.
I wouldn't conflate the cloak with cloaking. A cloak could be booster of leadership/command. It could also be a protective device.

Speculative reasonings:
Choice a) Leman comes back haggard from his time in the warp.
Vulcan coming back, looks at the technoligy of the imperium and just goes: "look how they massacred my boy!"
LOVE the idea of the Primarchs inheriting a piece of the emperors kit
TLDR: sanguinius can come back as part of the star child which is good for elongating the plot and allows GW to sell 2 models as opposed to 1
Dosent big E have some nasty weapons hiding from the golden-age? Why he wont give those? And how about leshing void-drago🙏👍✌️🇫🇮
Emperor’sCloak for Vulkan. Why he’s huge. Imagine Vulkan doing surprise attacks.
29:00 The Emperor's crocs LMFAO
Ooh I missed the stream but... what about the Emperor's anvil for Vulkan. I'm sure he has one for making all these weapons and his armour
I believe in the lore, it is stated that the spear always finds it's way back to Russ
Did the emperor ever gave his own spaceship? I feel like he would have so I can imagine that being a gift to maybe the Khan
When you said it's hard to kill something as powerful as Mortarion, I almost burst out laughing
I think the Emperor was the demon the lion had to do battle with.
His father was testing him and for his victory he was rewarded the shield.
Jhagatai will get the shoes I reckon giving him extra speed he’s a speed focused primarch
They should embed sagunius's soul into the insane angle which could bring one back and make the other sane.
Only the power of will matters.
Ok but wheres will.
40:33 doesn't russ already have resistance to the warp? He is able to kick magnus' teeth in on prospero
