There is no justification or any reason for any Ọba to stoop down for any politician or Governor. I blame him. He can appreciate the Governor without dragging our custom into the mud. Afterall the certificate of appointment says that they are custodian of our tradition and culture.. They are doing severe damage to our identity they the Ọba and the politicians and they should be ashamed of themselves.. This Ọba has no shame thinking there is any justifiable reason or rationality to explain the show if shame.. He still has the effontery to come and justify what he did..

There is nothing bad for Mornach kneeling down for the highest authority like their Governors. The Oba was right to do that. The Governors are also the Chiefs Security Officers of their states which means even the Obas are under the Governor's protection. Yet, the Oba will aimed more respect from the people by him doing that before the Governor. Obasanja once told the Obas to be respectful to the Governors of their states and he was misunderstood by some people's but he was saying the truth. The government pays the Obas too. And it's never the other way around. The Bible said we should respect those in the authorities who are in charge of us. Therefore, the Oba was right. And this Oba leads by example at all times.

The Ọba was not right.. He was absolutely wrong.. If you are justifying that stooping beside the Governor, it is either you are not a Yorùbá man or simply not fully-fledged Yorùbà but mixed blood who had failed to fully appreciate our custom and tradition of which the Ọba by virtue of his position is statutorily expected to uphold.. By denigrating that under the guise of being under the Governor is utterly misplaced, sacrilageous and unacceptable. It's a shame on the dignity and identity of the throne and the people he represent as traditional ruler.. Worse still that it was just a promise even if the work had been done..
