    Bike was designed by Greg Blake for Schwinn. Orange County choppers had nothing to do with the builds or designs. Just used their brand name.

    • @peterschmitt6088

      Gotcha. I am sure OCC got paid for the use of their name. The motor works very well on this bike and I have three-speed ranges.

    • @peterschmitt6088
      @peterschmitt6088  3 года назад

      As was explained to me by a Snap-On tool dealer, the bike design was made for Snap-On in limited quantities. They must have gotten approval from OCC to use their name. The bikes didn't sell well and I was able to purchase one for a very low price.

    Did you need spacers for bottom bracket? What size chain ring did you install? And what alterations to chain guard bracket did you have to make? I have two of these bikes and want to go electric on one. Thanks for info.

    • @peterschmitt6088
      @peterschmitt6088  2 года назад

      No spacers were required. No modifications to the chain guard but I had to change the way it was attached to the brackets by mounting it on the other side of them to push it further out from the frame. I had to add a few links to the chain to accommodate the 48t chainring.

    I wish mine was a factory 3-speed... fortunately I know where to get a conversion kit for a 3-speed or 5-speed hub. Does it make much of a difference changing gears? I'm actually looking toward getting this mid-motor instead of a hub motor

    • @peterschmitt6088
