Hails from California!! Thank you so very much for making this video. Thank you so very much for posting this video. Thank you so very much for taking the time and effort to show your Collection of Stingray 2 OC Choppers!! So very considerate of you to mention the details/history regarding each individual Stingray 2 Chopper. I love that you Lined them all up, side by side and set them up on Blue Tarp. You are so kool!! I often re-watch your Video, and have yet to get bored of it. If i may say, out of your collection, my Favorite is a Tie between the Red, White and Blue (Evil Knievel?) Stingray 2 Chopper and the Stingray 2 Chopper Still in the Factory Box!! I am a proud owner of a Stingray 2 OC Chopper Green Single Speed. Also, i admire how none in your Collection are Converted with an Engine Kit!! Classic!! My eternal respects to you and your Collection!! - SLAYER
The Schwinn Sting Ray OC Choppers are cool..my grandson had one unfortunately it was stolen. Took a ride on it it was neat but I'm a traditionalist..I prefer the traditional Sting Rays. Great collection. A very unique bicycle for sure that style deserves a place in the Schwinn history.
Hey Joe it's Will,I finally got a chance to view your collection,I'm glad I was able to contribute, you have a grand selection and a lot of chopper bikes I have never seen,it's great to see you saving a part of Schwinn history and the legacy of the OCC Chopper Stingray, I see one in particular you've added, the Blue Link,I was glad you ended up with the bike,I'm sure it's in good hands now,Great video Joe,Have a good one!
Man, that's a collection! I've had a red with black and chrome since 2006! I'm here from the state of São Paulo Brazil, city of Mauá! It's guys! Good video!
These are wicked cool! Currently doing a complete custom restoration on a single speed XL here in the UK... it's also an electric conversion. Can't wait to get my ass back on the saddle!
I tell you what buddy they are all beautiful I had no idea there were so many different styles and colors I love the blue and pink one . beautiful collection..I collect guitars . now I'm going to start a bike collection
Thank you. I just went to South Carolina and bought another 3 speed. I already have one of the same kind but anytime. 3 speed comes up for sale I am going to try and buy it. What part of the country are you from if zi may ask?
Dear m ister, you have a great, & outstanding, models, maybe, hard to see, toghether, again, thanks for sharing, these, beauties., God, bless you & keep enjoying. Joe
You have an immaculate collection kind Sir. The best I've seen yet, a lot of people want these bikes, so they can put a 212 Predator engine in it, I prefer to keep them stock and good working order. I thank you for your time kind Sir. ✌🙏
Thank you. Mine are for a collection for my grandchildren. Strictly stock is all I deal with. I do have a trike with a motor I bought from someone but I ride it a lot.
#JoeEdwards I live on California's Central Coast and have the black with pink flame bike, and the blue with yellow flame bike with 20" front wheel and 26" rear wheel that need good homes. You are welcomed to them, but they do have some rust spot that need steel whool cleaning. My Dad purchased both and had actually thicked the base of the black & pink and put a gas motor on it for my 10yo daughter with no working brakes and her male friend kept excellerating right into the dead end culdesac. Needless to say, I was mad and made him remove the motor. I Miss my Dad as much today and it is just as painful as the eve he took his lasts breaths going on 4yrs on February 27th. Best Dad anyone could ever ask for. 😢❤❤❤
Bro this collection is awesome I just pulled mine out from under my parents house that I had as a kid im fixing it up to ride it again love these bikes
My first chopper growing up in 80s was a Raleigh chopper with 3 gears and one gear was a nut buster 🤣 anyway I'm getting my first custom stingray tmorro and I'm really looking forward to owning it
nice collection, but I remember these as being heavy, slow, and handled poorly. and no matter how much adjustment was made, the brakes on the rear didn't work that good. I don't remember ever seeing any ever made with front brakes. and I assembled every one that was sold at the local walmart.
Man I remember I had the black with the pink flames (the little sister he called it) in about 4th or 5th grade, that’s when I was going through my “Real guys wear pink” phase 😂 damn those bikes were terrible too, you had to live somewhere flat to enjoy those
Heck to complete the collection you need the Schwinn Spoiler chopper and the Adult sized ones with a 24” rear wheel and a 26” front. And last but not least the “Fatboy” ones that had the 4” wide tires front and rear
He's right they made a black one with 2 fat tires one smaller in the front nd I believe they had a Springer front end with apes also there's stingray scooters too and then there was also the bigger XL stingray and then last but not least lol the $1800 black and red one awesome collection though good to see so many nice ones saved from the scrapyards definitely would like to see a updated video with some of the ones I've listed above sometime!
man that is beautiful i got the red one with black flames i always wanted one of these bikes and now that i own one im happy im planing to put a engine on mine and ride it to work and back
I own the black one with orange flames. When I first bought it the guy just simply wanted $5 for it and I said yeah might as well. When I got it lubricated I had it on the road for around a year no problems what so ever. I let my siblings occasionally ride it but they kept laying it on its side where it could've been stolen like the bike I gave to my brother when I got the one I'm referring to. So I stopped them from riding it without me insight and stored it away until I was ready to get back on the road. I've only had this bike breakdown a handful of times most were simple and easy fixes. Finding rear wheels for this bike in particular is quite costly. But finding any other part was cheap. Now I almost have it completely motorized just need to mount the fuel tank and the new exhaust and I'll have not exactly the way I want it but close enough.
Getting a nice green one tomorrow. Looks like it is in excellent condition. Hopefully the pictures match the current condition of the bike. (Had a few people list old pictures from when they first got it, as the current condition. Man, it's funny how deceitful people can be.) The green one that has the yellow pinstripes on the tribal flames. Not the cooler one with the front mud-guard.
I guess we can say you love these Bikes my Dad just picked one up on Marketplace for my Nephew he only paid 150$ for it Green and Black all I know about it missing the hand Grips.
Wow, I never knew fat there was so many variations…I have a Wally World (red and black) that I changed from it the bars and had to substitute a chain guard from an led collegiate because it didn’t have one, an XL (that I love riding) and I just got an electric one (that thing is heavy). But your collection is amazing and is also giving me ideas for mods…
Those bikes are perfect to put a motor kit on for motorized bicycle. You should think about it. Motorized bikes are fun and it would look awesome on your bikes.
I have one a freind gave it to me dont know what kind but i love them i was trying to see how rare they are and i came across this its a good idea to give it to gran children ill try to figure out what mine is
About how much did you pay for these? My neighbor gave me one for free in a state of complete ruin, but me and my friend are trying to restore it. If I could possibly have some sort of idea what they are or when they were made I’d greatly appreciate it. Love the collection sir!!
how does one restore complete ruin? thats replacing the expensive way. if it were just the finish ruined, then it might be worth fixing but not restoring.
It was about almost 12 years ago my give me a bike like that it was awesome but my brother broke it flat it so I was bad but now I found the same bike but bigger now I'm going to try to fix it
Wow! I just came across your video of your awesome collection! Thanks for creating it and sharing! I have a lead on one locally and am wondering if the handle bars are original. The seller states they are. I will now attempt to add a photo. Cheers!
The bike is a 3 speed OCC in blue. It has high-rise bars the owner says they're original. I see no bars like this in your entire collection. Did they ever come with big ol' ape hangers? Thanks

What's the difference between an orange County chopper, and an ordinary Schwinn stingray chopper?
