The Schwinn Sting Ray OC Choppers are cool..my grandson had one unfortunately it was stolen. Took a ride on it it was neat but I'm a traditionalist..I prefer the traditional Sting Rays. Great collection. A very unique bicycle for sure that style deserves a place in the Schwinn history.

You have an immaculate collection kind Sir. The best I've seen yet, a lot of people want these bikes, so they can put a 212 Predator engine in it, I prefer to keep them stock and good working order. I thank you for your time kind Sir. ✌🙏
Thank you. Mine are for a collection for my grandchildren. Strictly stock is all I deal with. I do have a trike with a motor I bought from someone but I ride it a lot.
Bro this collection is awesome I just pulled mine out from under my parents house that I had as a kid im fixing it up to ride it again love these bikes
nice collection, but I remember these as being heavy, slow, and handled poorly. and no matter how much adjustment was made, the brakes on the rear didn't work that good. I don't remember ever seeing any ever made with front brakes. and I assembled every one that was sold at the local walmart.
My first chopper growing up in 80s was a Raleigh chopper with 3 gears and one gear was a nut buster 🤣 anyway I'm getting my first custom stingray tmorro and I'm really looking forward to owning it
I own the black one with orange flames. When I first bought it the guy just simply wanted $5 for it and I said yeah might as well. When I got it lubricated I had it on the road for around a year no problems what so ever. I let my siblings occasionally ride it but they kept laying it on its side where it could've been stolen like the bike I gave to my brother when I got the one I'm referring to. So I stopped them from riding it without me insight and stored it away until I was ready to get back on the road. I've only had this bike breakdown a handful of times most were simple and easy fixes. Finding rear wheels for this bike in particular is quite costly. But finding any other part was cheap. Now I almost have it completely motorized just need to mount the fuel tank and the new exhaust and I'll have not exactly the way I want it but close enough.

Hey I like tricking out bike like west coast customs did cars. Do you think a twist fork off a lowrider bike would fit on one of these and have enough room to clear the ground while pedaling?

#JoeEdwards I live on California's Central Coast and have the black with pink flame bike, and the blue with yellow flame bike with 20" front wheel and 26" rear wheel that need good homes. You are welcomed to them, but they do have some rust spot that need steel whool cleaning. My Dad purchased both and had actually thicked the base of the black & pink and put a gas motor on it for my 10yo daughter with no working brakes and her male friend kept excellerating right into the dead end culdesac. Needless to say, I was mad and made him remove the motor. I Miss my Dad as much today and it is just as painful as the eve he took his lasts breaths going on 4yrs on February 27th. Heck to complete the collection you need the Schwinn Spoiler chopper and the Adult sized ones with a 24” rear wheel and a 26” front. And last but not least the “Fatboy” ones that had the 4” wide tires front and rear
He's right they made a black one with 2 fat tires one smaller in the front nd I believe they had a Springer front end with apes also there's stingray scooters too and then there was also the bigger XL stingray and then last but not least lol the $1800 black and red one awesome collection though good to see so many nice ones saved from the scrapyards definitely would like to see a updated video with some of the ones I've listed above sometime!
Was curious on what the big difference was between the regular ones and the XL and also can't adults ride the regular ones to I see alot of people selling them and says it's adult size just curious

I just picked up one exactly like the very last regular sized one with orange paint and no "Orange County Chopper" logo. Any idea why they made them with no logo?

hey i need some help, i have a really rusty red and chrome one, exactly like the one you got from the guy from indiana, but mines in really bad condition and it’s basically a rust ball. im restoring it since its so pretty but i cant seem to find a serial number reader that works for it. do you know what year its from? i want to know some details about the bike but mine doesnt say them. it has a sticker near the pedal area with a number i assume is the date since it says “date” and a ton of characters after. the characters are: “CP0615JD”. when i look them up in a serial number reader thing it says its from july of 1978 but i dont think thats right since the last two letters of my code is “JD” and thats supposed to mean it was manufactured on 2004. it also has a string of numbers and letters imprinted into the metal at the bottom, below the pedals. that string of characters is “SNGNP04G39200” but when i enter it into any serial number interpreter, none seem to recognize it. the only visual difference my bike has from yours is that mine doesnt have that front red wheel cover type thing but i think its because it was broken off at some point due to its conditions. if anyone knows any detals or has any ways to help me, please contact me here or in my instagram @Jeez_uhs

I have one small question if you were going to sell one how much would you want for it
It would depend on which one it was. I have 32 different ones in my collection.
The one that has a chain links design on it thr blue one
Someone in my area has an Orange Tribal Stingray in very good condition and they're asking $150, is that a good deal?
Yes!!
Yes
@@joeedwards5258 Okay thanks I'll try to get it!
Where to get this type of bicycles
I'd love to have a 3 speed one...didn't even know that some had a 3 speed
hey i need some help, i have a really rusty red and chrome one, exactly like the one you got from the guy from indiana, but mines in really bad condition and it’s basically a rust ball. im restoring it since its so pretty but i cant seem to find a serial number reader that works for it. do you know what year its from? i want to know some details about the bike but mine doesnt say them. it has a sticker near the pedal area with a number i assume is the date since it says “date” and a ton of characters after. the characters are: “CP0615JD”. when i look them up in a serial number reader thing it says its from july of 1978 but i dont think thats right since the last two letters of my code is “JD” and thats supposed to mean it was manufactured on 2004. it also has a string of numbers and letters imprinted into the metal at the bottom, below the pedals. that string of characters is “SNGNP04G39200” but when i enter it into any serial number interpreter, none seem to recognize it. the only visual difference my bike has from yours is that mine doesnt have that front red wheel cover type thing but i think its because it was broken off at some point due to its conditions. if anyone knows any detals or has any ways to help me, please contact me here or in my instagram @Jeez_uhs
It’s a 2004. The first two numbers of the serial number is the year There is not.a database for these bikes. Good luck with your restore.
