- In episode 20 of the Daily Collection we take a look at both KISS pinball machines. The 1978 classic KISS pinball from Bally and the high tech 2015 KISS pinball from Stern.

I bought a Bally KISS late last month (Feb) at a cheap price from my ex-brother in law. It is next to my other dream pinball machine..The Empire Strikes Back👍

Those machines are awesome. Can’t believe you got the original for 300 dollars. I know it needed work but that’s crazy. You have done an amazing job restoring it. Also, awesome on have all of the original band members autographs. That awesome. My cousin Larry was a huge kiss fan and growing up I was amazed by his room because he had posters of them all over. Gene Simmons was the one I was drawn too for obvious reasons cause he looked like a monster. Best to you Sean. You are my hero
Oh- my-Lanta. Awesome pinball machines'. Great memories. I've been a KISS since '76. The first time I had ever seen a KISS pinball machine was in 1980 in Vegas at a Casino arcade. Then jump to 2014, at the Pinball Hall of Fame, also in Las Vegas. KISS is still my favorite band. Great song writers. Gene, Paul and Eric are the coolest to meet. Because of KISS, it lead me in becoming a Musician( Drummer). Without KISS' music, it would have never lead me to appreciate other bands, such as Van Halen, the MISFITS, the CRAMPS, RUSH, Venom, Metallica, Motley Crue, etc....etc. Thank you, Sean for showing your wonderful collection🤘🏼🎃

KISS fan since 1973 and still love all the band members, got 4 KISS tattoos also lol
so cool you tracked down the signatures
to hear you talk about how stressed you where about getting all four signatures on the Stern machine helps me deal with the mania i have with some of my pieces..we may not be normal but at least we are not alone .. :)
seanry25 Yeah the last one which I thought was going to be the first and the easiest suddenly proved to take the longest to get. Then I almost got shut down at the Canyon Club because it’s a heavy piece of metal that could easily be used as a weapon. I had to go through several employees and managers before they finally allowed me to go back to my car after the show to bring it into the meet and greet.

Only time I saw and played the Bally KISS Pinball machine was in 1980 at shopping Mall in Syracuse NY at a Arcade they had there. I played with it briefly and I never saw it again.
When I was watching this, I found my jaw open.
I remember seeing the KISS pinball machine sitting in the background at the bar in Friday the 13th part 2
That’s right I tell everyone every time I watch the movie. You see that in the background, that’s right it’s the kiss pinball machine

There was a KISS topper{the KISS letters that flashed and were mounted on the top of the backbox) offered by Stern for the 2015 machine but as all Stern Toppers it was waaaaay overpriced and not many bought them. SOoo if ya want one they re very expensive to find on ebay.
Have you done a collection video on your Twilight Zone? A very mechanically complex machine of the day. Its one of the great WMS widebody pins of the 90s. I collect 80s Williams-High Speed--Comet--Black Knight---and love them. Great stress relief..

The reason for the new recordings being in the game, rather than the originals, is that KISS does not own the licensing rights to their original music. The record company has the rights. They used the new recordings from the bonus disc of Sonic Boom, so that they had complete control and full financial compensation. I think the only nitpick I have is Demon multiball should use God of Thunder, but they didn't rerecord that one, so it isn't included.

Yes. I have three masks from Eyes Wide Shut.
@@malfuncsean Nice. I have watched the movie a few times. Have no clue what is going on, but something about the movie I find intriguing. Do you know if the mask used was from an actual cast of Tom Cruise's face? Great channel Sean. Best from Canada.
rhymeandreasoning No it wasn’t. It was just one of hundreds of masks they bought from various local mask makers in Venice Italy.

First AND ONLY 8-Track I ever bought was a KISS: Destroyer tape from a Carrs in Anchorage, AK
Where I was born. Not at a Carrs mind you. I remember my first 8-track was the Gene Simmons solo album because all of the vinyl was sold out and I had to have it! Of course it was the first I bought of the four so as soon as I bought the second one which I believe was Ace's record I then right away knew I had blown it because I needed all four of the posters.

Rough or not 3hundo is a score on that OG KISS pinball machine. I've always wanted that one and the Evel Knievel. That limited is killer. The autos probably make it a one of a kind for sure.
I played the stern 2015 pinball at a restaurant first actual real pinball machine I played and gah I wanted to take it home with me.

Yes. Hardest by far is Paul. The other three are not that difficult but if I had to rank Gene next, Peter and then Ace is by far the easiest but oddly enough in my story ended up being last on this particular piece.
should send that machine to TNT Amusements they will restore it like it was brand new

before they changed the flames they should have asked you first to see if you wanted that.
Yeah that would have been nice. Funny thing is as long as I've owned it not one person has ever noticed the flames are different unless I point it out. Doesn't really bother me at all. After I'm dead it will be someone else's problem.

The sound of the arcade from the early 1980’s is not complete with out the sounds of 3 pinball machines Playboy , Gorgar and KISS p.s mix in with the drone sound of Space Invaders

I’ve got that same machine with original mint condition manual. Similar story, my senior year in 1994 my Mom read in the local classifieds someone selling a KISS pinball machine. They immediately drove out to look at it and the owner was a teenager who had an enclosed airplane hanger type building in his back yard with over 100 working machines in his arcade. Safe to say his parents were very well off. And his reason for selling it was that it was boring to play. He didn’t care anything about KISS or their history & wanted to sell it to buy another machine that was funner to play. He wanted 450.00 for the machine which was in excellent condition... not mint but not beat up by any means & the rest is history.
My parents purchased it as an early graduation present & it resides at their house in their game room simply because I don’t have room here at my house to display it!
I’ve had lights replaced that were burnt out, new rubber bands and all the electronics inside cleaned or insides restored as they say. Works like a new machine! Just thought I’d share as well! Best present I’ve ever gotten! Cheers

malfuncsean freakin sweet! Did yours have the manual? We didn’t realize it until after we purchased it and was getting it ready to have the inside electronics cleaned & the manual was inside in the original envelope/bag it came in. Was a bonus for sure
