For what it's worth, it seems like they did add Strava integration a couple of months ago. Nobody really has any reviews of the watch since it was added though!
Finally a dude who actually trains reviews this bit of fitness kit. So far it's been dudes who's first line is 'i don't really work out' I'm like ok so why you reviewing a fitness tracker dude!? 😅
I primarily am looking for a tougher smartwatch, this fits. Anything else is gravy, this gives me hope that Casio might actually explore what the user community has to say so they can keep pushing out better updates.
I have a G-Shock GBD-H1000 and it has both, MIP display and solar charging, and I bought it 2 years ago. In any case, this is the third G-Shock that includes these features. The second one is the GBD-H2000.
I like the old display better. I am 150 years old and I remember when it was cool and new technology, and it is still cool to me. Do you honestly need to track EVERY step? I've been wanting one of these health gadget for a while, but they are all so ugly, or require subscription or what not. It is like if home dumbbells had subscription model attached to them.
Ehhh...this plug in every few days smart watch stuff is a huge turn off for me. I can do all this on my iPhone. I wear G-Shock for a rugged timepiece that gives me a quick reference time. When the apocalypse happens, this is the last type of watch you'll wanna be wearing. Although realistically, any kind of watch will be the last thing you're worried about.
@@BAR-ct7ti that’s why G shock is the perfect company to master the smart watch game. Because they didn’t do that bad with their other smart watch options
I've had this watch for about a year and didn't wear it for about 6 months then I switched to samsung and ditched my apple watch. That being said. My watch says I walked about 11k steps today and my phone being in my pocket all day says 13k wonder what the difference is
Thanks for the review, I've been looking for something that looks great but also can utilize different types of fitness activities from combat sports, to swimming to functional training... too bad this doesn't really have them....
It is the first "square" with the MIP display. I just want a regular square with the MIP display though, I don't care for fitness functions and I certainly don't want to pay 300 bucks for something I am not going to use. A regular square, regular functions with a MIP display - now that would be a dream!
@@tiagodvt have you tried the GBD 200? You don't have to use the -few- smart functions, and I'm wearing it right now... I can confirm: once you go MIP you'll never (want to) go back!

Yes you can, go to watch face setting select watch face2 and there you can select wat you wanne see in the squeer display ,you can do that only throu the casio app not on the watch
This is probably one of the best reviews for any product I've seen. Poses really good questions and answers them, and really dives into the pro's and con's. Cheers
Those buttons on the side look mighty small. I’ve got large fingers like your biceps…I also have the GW-B5600 which has small buttons. That is why I would swap it for a similar version but with larger buttons. The strap on mines is metal so will not deteriorate and is a solar powered Bluetooth version. No recharging of battery, I just leave it in the sun or bright light… So unless I want to look as good as you in the gym, I will not want to invest in this model. Tell me different please!
I just hope Casio will give us the MIP display for the GWM5610 model. I don't need the clunky Bluetooth app and the gimmicky fitness-watch features. MIP display, tough solar, and 200m WR are enough selling points for me.
I'm a G-Shock fan-boy with more than 20 G's, but this one looks good in the outside, but as fitness watch is just garbage. Casio has a long way to go for truly "fitnes" watch.
Same! I unfortunately ended up returning it. Just can’t replace my Apple Watch Series 8 stainless steel sapphire crystal. It’s tough for me to go back to G-Shock unfortunately ..
casio does not follow the world and its needs. If I wanted a smartwatch I would definitely choose another brand that has a long tradition. For me, it was enough to get a DW 5600 and put a mip display on it.
Hey, first video. Good review, thanks. I find it odd you're wearing a wife beater. Who am I to judge? Maybe it's hot there. Anyway, genuinely, great review, thanks.
That video is not DEPTH REVIEW! Nothing about how strong is the vibration alarm. And how long alarm last? Why nothing about that? Who knows about that? Where i can foud video review about alarm spects…

Agreed. None of these 🤡 actually keep the devices they “review” for a week, then return it. Just talking heads, looking for views.

Have you heard of Garmin Solar Instinct ?
I bought 1, and I think it is a tough watch with daily trackers rather than a smart one.
What's your thoughts so far?
It's not the first G-Shock with a MIP display, it's the first one with the display AND solar charging.

Exactly the type of review I was looking for. Much appreciated.
Finally they’re making more watches that are actually kinda smart, and not just connected to set the time. I know they had the 1000 but you get it

Very well explained, it convinced me to wait for a better model. I want a fitness watch with the G Shock look
Hi, I think Garmin Instinct (2, 2x, 2s) comes closest to what you are looking for. There's solar option too.

The heart rate monitor isn't merely instant data, the second screen of the heart rate monitor is a graph of data from the last 4 hrs.
Thank you for the review
It can now be connected with Strava fyi
Is it way bigger than the traditional dw56
I don’t see much new reviews for it.. now you can export it to Apple health and strava
