Safety First: Vision Zero Training for Professional Drivers (TLC Audience)

This training video for professional drivers reviews five dangerous driving scenarios related to speeding, sharing the road with bicyclists, fatigued driving, distracted driving, and left turns. Each scenario outlines the serious crash risks of each behavior and the recommended steps for keeping drivers, passengers, and other street users safe.
This training video was developed by the Taxi & Limousine Commission as a part of New York City’s Vision Zero Initiative. It is available for free and public use. It is available in seven languages via our RUclips page. This version references TLC rules and was developed with TLC-licensed drivers and applicants in mind as the audience. An alternative version of the video designed for non-TLC fleets is available on our RUclips page, as well.

It’s real easy to point the finger at one person and make accusations. In ANY city, you will have high volumes of pedestrians and traffic which MUST be respectful of each other if safety will work. It’s very unfair to say that drivers are the ONLY reason for accidents and to punish all drivers. I find it offensive because I am a professional driver accident free for the past 25 years.
