I have a 2021 16-inch Macbook Pro, and after a few months, my battery capacity went to 89. I agree with the reason for the calibration being loose because I bought an Lg Ultrafine monitor which offers only 91 W and the Macbook came with a 140w charger. I will do the manual calibration and thank you for the info, I was scared.
hmm I never let my laptop die just cuz I wanted the resale rate to be high when I said its never died but wow the laptop needs to know whats 0 thanks man im grateful and I subbed
I have macbook air m1 2020. Cycle Count:41 and Maximum Capacity: 93% . Maximum Capacity was 99 and when I downloaded Coconut Battery App, Maximum Capacity drops to 93%
I have 2021 in just 2 weeks it goes to 96% capacity. I tried the coconut app but i not shows the old history? As you said if we fully used the battery and then charged it fully does it calibration will correct and capacity goes to higher? please do reply
hello i have brought a macbook air m1 on january 2022 and after 4 months of usage the battery cycles are 43 and the battery health is 98% i was charing it upto 81% and when then it drops to 24% i was recharging it back again. does this mean it is miss calibrating the data and usage.
Hello Stan. I am facing some issues with my MacBook Air M1's battery health and I really need to talk to someone who actually has knowledge about the subject. Please reply so that I could discuss it with you.. I am really confused and need help!
@@Cahyaniaulia6 Hey, this guy didn't respond. The issue I was facing was that 4 months after I bought my Mac, its battery health dropped to 99 and then after 10 days, it dropped by another 1% to be on 98 and that freaked me out. But today it has been over 1 month and it is still on 98. So all good so far.. Just following some habits to keep the battery in good condition!
@@probolehla Keep the battery charge in the 20-80 % range (preferably, you can charge it to 100 every now and then but don't let it fall under 20) and try not to overheat your device. I have been working with this practice and so far it has done well.
bruh letting a li-on battery at 0% overnight will damage the battery. after dropping it to 0%, u should immediately start the charging process. after seeing 100%, use it on ac or just let it sleep for 1 hrs and unplug it to drop below 80%.
That's actually not true even apple recommends to do this recalibration. You will damage the batter if you will drain it to 0% and then charge it to 100% everysingle time. But if your capacity drops rapidly its best to do 1 0%-100% and than use it between 20%-80%
@@SuprUsrStan But bro my Macbook Air 2017 after 972 charge cycles still runs for 3-4 hours. And also Apple says that Battery will reach 80% health at around 1000 charge cycles. In my case the charge cycles are 33 and battery heath is already 98%. I am also keeping the charge between 80-20%. I don't know what I am doing wrong!

If its in 96% what says your Mac that won't change anymore... But It can change sometimes on Coconut Battery App the %,.
Mine is MBP M1 2020. Using it for 2 weeks, 10 cycles and already 88%😢
Did you try the fix stated in this video? Mine is 91% 8 cycles
@@Gem-je3wt That's a terrible figure! Mine is at 99.9% at 5 cycles.
Is this an actual “Fix” or just all explanation?

Hi Stan, it’s my first time having my mac drop to 99% battery health today. Can I bring it back to 100% if I try to recalibrate it?

I have a macbook pro 2021 m1 pro the basic model, it is at 80 charge cycle and the battery health is at 85% on coconut battery, how to fix that?
Did you figured it out?
I did this steps completely but it didn’t work. My MBP is 16 inch 2019 and only with 25 cycle count. Battery is 88 percent health !!!!
how is it possible ?? you have just 25 cycle in a 2019 MacBook you keep it plugged in ?
@@zakizak2520 probably. use aidente to keep your battery at 50% if you're gonna use it always plugged in.
