The true awesomeness of the movie can't be felt in subtitles driven experience, the very important part of the movie which made it great was the originality and use of that Bihari accent and phrases, which was brilliantly carried out by the actors, most of them originally belonged to these regions that's why it was perfection.
Exactly...subtitles cannot justify the impactful dialogues of the movie especially "goli nahi marenge sale ko, keh ke lenge uski" this dialogue summaries the whole movie in short
And dont forget music composition 😂🤣🤣🤣

The best part of the movie is the language, the slang, the accent and the dialect which is all lost in translation!
Edit: Also, only Indians can understand the authenticity of Bihar and it's culture portrayed in the movie. While the acting, direction and script is great, the humorous phrases take it up a notch

You won’t get “ THAT” taste with subtitle. Either you have to understand the language or know/see the lifestyle of that place (Bihar). The accent, the humorously serious dialogues, acting, location, people. I’m from Nepal and almost all of my friends and family watched and so addicted to this movie. Much love From🇳🇵
The cinematography, the background score, the dialogues, the characterization, the actors, the drama-this is Indian cinema's finest creation. So many actors emerged out of this one great film.

And till date Gangs of Wasseypur is one of those piece of content which holds itself High as best film ever made in India...
It just has feel of bihar and just can't criticise anyone whole cast did what is impossible ... excellent and realistic performance ...

11:05 it is not a fiction, It is a true story. Faizal Khan was a living legend although he was tall and strong not a weakling like they have shown. What they displayed in this movie is true. The entire labourer community required muscle man. My father was about to start this mining business after completing his engineering. People asked him about the muscle man for his business then people said you wont be able to run the business with out muscle because labourers will flee after taking money. Later on my father got the job in railways and got retired 12 years ago.

I don't know much about his real life. But from the reference of this movie If I objectivly analyze his character on certain parameters .
his life choices are hugely indicates high levels of machiavelli, narssicism and Malevolence, or we call in simple language "human vices",
which leads to :- "pain, destruction , end of peace and discomfort for self and others"
That's not what you call a legend.
At the best you can say
"he was a human who made bad decisions in bad situations because this is all he known , And didn't want to know more"
