can anyone tell me why theyuse this bucket type of elevator instead of conveyors? most batching plant use conveyors to convey the aggragate to the mixer.. i am just curios. Does it has any benefical/negative effect on the mix?

Do anyone know how to Adjust the boot on the batch plant to fit multiple trucks? At my job the boot is set to load rear discharge trucks that's ideally 12' tall, but I drive a front discharge which is 13+ feet tall. When I'm being loaded, the boot touches the inside of my hopper, which causes the material to spill everywhere.
