Wow, what a treat! So great to hear Neal talking about his work and life, I feel like I know him from his albums. A continuous source of inspiration. To hear top musicianship and song writing, devoted to God. It's fantastic. Great interview! Thanks.
O som vinha do alto.

Hi Josh. I love this interview. Love Neal Morse. I discovered him back in 2008 when I was buying some Genesis CDs and he came up as similar music. Sola Scriptura was the first album I got and wore that thing out. It's interesting to hear you're from Thornton. I grew up in the next town over, Glenwood. I spent many days exploring the area around Thornton quarry. Another interesting thing, about 30 years ago my wife and I were in a msall group Bible study with Matt and Rhonda Huisman. I have to wonder if they are related to you. They lived in South Holland at the time.
Your statement about his beliefs is no longer accurate. His current church does hold that Jesus was fully God and fully human. I did read an interview with him not long after his conversion that made it sound like his church at the time was non-trinitarian in its beliefs. Here is the statement of faith from his current church: We believe in the one living and true God, who exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe God was Himself in Jesus Christ and that He came to earth to reconcile man to God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He joined together the deity of God and the humanity of man. Jesus of Nazareth was God in mortal flesh, experienced human suffering, was crucified, died a physical death, and was buried. He did this to reconcile God the Father to humankind and to be a sacrifice for the sins of all men and women-past, present, and future."
Why is that so important to you? The scripture is clear about devouring one another. Don't do Satan's work for free. Just pray for Neal. Jesus can take care of him.
@@tomrooney7028 Is this actually Neal's view? I'd be interested. It's easy to go to church for many reasons, enjoy it, be active in it, but not agree with all its teachings. I've always appreciated Neal's music regardless.

Thanks for the comment and for listening! Yeah, Matt is my cousin!
Small world.
I love Neal's music & message. Have got most of his albums since 2003. However he doesn't believe in the trinity or that Jesus is God.

It's important to know what someone believes if you are "following " them, especially if you revere them as a Christian.
