As a licensed plumber I can tell you that nobody makes them like Ridgid. I’ve known plumbers that had theirs for 20-30 years and still worked like a charm.

Course they're the best they command a good price for their tools as well as well as they should. That would say maybe s might be Knipex. But they don't make these huge pipe wrenches the way Ridgid does. They have their swedish style which I believe one of the largest is 20in not the monsters rigid has. I don't do much plumbing but I like having quality tools in order to do it. Rigid for the win

Bought my 12", 14", 18" iron pipe wrenches at 17 years old. Today I am 67 and still using those wrenches regularly. Ya I did buy aluminum versions too but the weight and ruggedness of the iron tools can't be beat!

As an apprentice plumber just getting his tool bag set up, I appreciate this comment - was going to go all aluminum to keep travel weight down, but obviously there's something special to those CI wrenches I haven't discovered yet.

So true. I bought aluminum wrenches for overhead work, I also use them on new work. But when it comes to old work and service I use the iron wrenches. I think the weight of the handle gives me additional torque.

Ridgid is the best pipe wrench I've ever used. I have about ten of them and I won't trade them for anything. The most important thing is that they are made there by the same people as 10 - 20 - 50 years ago, people who could work with their hands. From Russia with love!

These wrenches are too good - they always get stolen. Thanks for making them still in the USA!

SNAP ON, RIDID, FLUKE. Jobsite thieves know these are.the Ferrari and Rolex of the tool world. You cannot put these down while you go for coffee, they will be gone when you return.

As a new commercial plumber, I was told my the master plumbers I work for that Ridgid made the best plumbing tools. They were absolutely correct. They cost a little more, however the quality and durability is priceless. Thank you Ridgid for making the job easier and building dependable tools int USA 🇺🇸

When i was new to the trades my first partner showed me 1/2” gas piping with channel locks. My second partner we had one job together that we needed to do some gas piping and he got out one of these amazing wrenches and I will never not use a rigid pipe wrench

😂Hello, I write from Santiago de Chile, I am an electrician and plumber and I know Ridgid tools very well because I have an uncle who is the best plumber I have ever met in Chile. He was ahead of his time. He is already retired and has two American Stillson Ridgid wrenches, the one from 18 inches and a small hexagonal and he also had the Ridgid K1500 machine with which he uncovered buildings, that's why he perfectly located the great American brand Ridgid, congratulations... greetings atte Jaime

I always went with Milwaukee or crescent pipe wrenches, and I regret buying the crescent pipe wrench they slip and I have to readjust every time. finally went with Ridgid and oh my god the grip these have is amazing so glad I pulled the trigger not just for buying a quality tool, but also putting money towards an American tool company.

After this watch a Pakistan foundry video - used motor oil for fuel, barefoot pouring iron, not a table or chair or bench in the entire place and no one has ever seen a pair of glasses, much less a respirator. Ductile? whats that mean?

Dutile iron is a tough strong cast iron that is used for tools like this. Sometimes called semi-steel. It makes a strong cast tool, if not as strong as a forged steel version. Works great for a pipe wrench but not strong enough for a light thin wrench.
