Hey Noelle!!! Stephanie Garber is a GREAT author. The Once Upon A Broken Heart book you bought is a UK edition cover!!! And it’s BEAUTIFUL!! Her series Caraval is amazing also. Her writing is seeping with details and truly creates the world to be seen by the mind.

there’s a small used books store in English called San Francisco books in Paris you should go to! from classics to some newer releases and an adorable place ❤️

Okay so: once upon a broken heart is one of my favourite books. I read it before I read caraval and I definitely think it's better if not just because Jacks is more the focus of the story. Some find Evangeline to be dumb or boring. I just think that she's all of us in a world like that. I'm soooo excited for the sequel! Also yes your edition is the UK one as is mine. (It's a lot more detailed than the US one)

OMG I LOVED Once Upon a Broken Heart!!! There is also a trilogy that goes before that book that can help you understand the book better but it's also amazing on its own. I am so excited to see if you like it.

I bought the beautiful BN edition during the hardback sale but wasn’t sure when I’d get to it, you guys and *EMMIE* both talked me into finally reading Frankenstein in January so I hope I can join in for some motivation to get to it! Once Upon a Broken Heart is set in the same universe as Stephanie Garber’s Caraval series. Can be read alone but worth reading the series too.
Once upon a broken heart is related to caraval it’s a really good series as well highly recommend you read that first
