Thank you Cecilie! The high ceilings were definitely one of the reasons I chose this space, even though the footprint is small it still felt visually spacious.
Change is never an easy step to take, I live at home travelling work throughout the country, but now moving into a permanent space of my own is super scary and jarring, grateful but it does get lonely and scary. Loved your video
Love her charming and cozy apartment with plenty of natural light! I like the vintage vibe instead of all new "same old same old" contemporary style. My studio apt. Is 235 sq. ft., and comprises 3 spaces... my entry with vanity (behind the front door) and bookcase. Then my bathroom, with toilet and clawfoot tub/circular shower curtain, and window. The main space has galley kitchen similar to hers, my full size bed, desk, filing cabinet, smalll reading chair under a window, and one good size closet with overhead storage! I have 2 big windows facing north and east (love the morning sunlight 😎), and hardwood floors. Best part is lying in bed, and watching the breeze blow the palm fronds on the trees across the street. 😀 Very content "living small", and been here 11 years... 🤗 PS... have a cat, she "adopted me" 10 years ago! 😻
I Hope you keep making videos!! Love your creativity and your website so cool!! Would love design education vids and more interior design vids like this ♥️ beautiful apt!!
I like the selection of indoor plants that you have made because I honestly think that they look great with the type of decorating style that you have chosen. A detail that I really liked is the marble table that you have placed in front of the sofa. I thought maybe I need one like this to use with my Bellini sofa from Manhattan Home Design. I've always been a great lover of marble, and maybe I need to reinforce the functional aspect of my living room area. Thank you very much for the tour! It's a lovely place.
Thank you! I did have to raise my sofa legs up on risers so that it was the right height to sit at the marble table, so I'd measure the seat height of your sofa & the height of any tables you're considering to get a feel for it
Well, wow that is just the best use of space. Such nice separation between the bed and the living area, while still managing to look airy and spacious. I wonder if the half wall divider next to the bed came with the apartment. Those half walls can completely help create a living space separate from a sleeping space. A great solution, especially if they’re the same color as the walls. I don’t think accordion style room dividers work, because they’re too tall and noticeable, block light, and just look flimsy.
Thank you! The half wall came with the apartment, and it did help create some separation between the living and sleeping areas without making the space feel smaller or blocking the natural light from the windows.
Imo 350sq ft is the perfect size studio any smaller just is too small from all the different home tours i observed, it seems like 350sq ft is plenty of space to really live in comfortably and it doesn't look like you are jam packed in a closet. Your style is effortless
I love the neighborhood! I’m looking to move to Brooklyn next summer. How did you find your apartment? A real estate agent seems like a good idea if one is out of state. The dog is so cute!
I searched through listings on sites like streeteasy, apartment finder and nooklyn and scheduled viewings all on one day. In my experience a broker can help by sharing spots that aren't listed yet so that can be helpful during high demand periods, but if you wanna avoid broker fees then I'd search specifically for no-fee apartment listings.

The best part about living in a small apartment is having less space to clean! 😄
YES! Vacuuming the whole place without having to unplug 😆
Aaaaamen 😅😂❤
Katsu is sooo cute
Wow! You've found a gold mine! Those tall ceilings, make your beautiful apartment look larger! Love your home and the neighborhood!

Didn’t expect the 2:00 mark when she says she lived with her BF in the space! Love the apartment…and her vintage touches. Best to all three of you 😊
I like that this video was short! 😂 small apartments with 20 min long tours annoy me. This was perfect well done & great thoughtful use of the space!!
Really enjoyed the upbeat, positive vibe in this video.
It looks like a comfortable and eye pleasing space, especially for its size. Well done!
You can stand sharing such a small space because u love your bf a lot and u get along. Your apartment is beautiful. I like the big mirror.

Looks very cozy, full of light & life
my favorite kind of home tours are when it's just so clear that you really love the space. it's not perfect but it's full of love and charm :)
So beautiful - congrats on such a lovely job filling a small space so nicely.
Thank you Angela! I do love small spaces
Your apartment looks really nice! Great use of space and it feels really homey and peaceful ♡
Thank you! Peaceful is definitely the goal in a busy city
Awesome place, and I truly believe that when people decorate from the heart, it always looks great.

Really cute place
Beautifully styled, thank you. But did you move again since this video? The space in your more recente style advice videos looks different.
I loveee your apartment, it’s so cozy🌻
Pretty good. You could so some walks in the area, parks, interesting little places..

Gorgeous space!
Nice. Good luck!

It does feel like a really manageable size for me, but I can see how people with certain hobbies or interests would definitely need more space

Do you have any tips on where to find such apartments? I never see something like this on Zillow, Streeteasy etc😢

An actual walkthrough wouldve been nice. Nice apartment
how much was the rent if you don't mind me asking?
More apartment, less things!
You, unfortunately people fill the space no matter what the size. One bedroom or one house.
@@cjenkins8785 We're all guilty of that...good point
I did not see the bed or did I miss it.
I respect people in small spaces who still have pets and even allocate space for family/friends to sleep over. I can't...
I assume there must be a bathroom although none was shown.
I have a 350sq ft studio don't know what the hell to do with it...
The place is nice but you should ditch the boyfriend. More space for you and the dog 🐕.
what😳
Spoken like a bitter Feminist
@neillyr12robb86 you're right, hating men isn't cool.
