It's really eye opening about the fan base she has around the world. I have to admit that I lost track of her after about her second album. I do remember my daughter performing a cover of Crazier for a school talent show when she was in fourth grade. Then it was the start of her Eras tour with her breaking Ticketmaster news that I started paying attention again. I've been listening to everything I've missed since her second album. I don't know where all the hate comes from. She's a pop artist and very good at what she does.

Just look at the demographics of her concert goers. This is the kind of concert I personally would avoid. They essentially wanted to party and scream and sing along and take selfies to post on social media, not really to watch an artist perform.

I went yesterday and I have to admit it was the best night of my life. There was a literal ocean of people outside and they were so smart. Whenever we didn't know a song because the crowd inside muffled it, the people who recognized it would sing it damn loud and alert others. It was a but depressing cause I could tell that by the end everyone was wishing they could also go inside but there is nothing more awe inspiring then a whole collective group of swifties screaming all too well like their life depends on it.

I am sorry but Taylor Swift or whatever her name is does not have a single good song. But then again, you can say that about 99% of today's so-called singers. I really long for the Beatles, Queen, Eric Clapton, and so forth. In other words, singers that actually sang and had at least one good memorable song. Singers with actual musical talent who had good sense of music and composed good songs. Some of them were indeed musical geniuses. Pop music, like so many things in life, seems to be getting worse as time goes by, not better.
Im from that era you mentioned too. I think Taylor Swift has the benefit of the influence of those who came before her. I might by chance listen to some of her songs but I won't have that same kind of obsession I did like those who came before her like the ones you mentioned. She's singing a brand relevant to the struggles of the young of today. And she is a person of good character too. So that is a plus. Who are we to judge her talents when millions flock to hear her sing?
