  • Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's (1714 - 1788) cantata "Die Grazien" (1774), published in Neue Lieder-Melodien, W. 200 (1789).
    Our hero is telling the story of Aglaia, the youngest and prettiest of the 3 graces, who goes missing. All of a sudden our narrator forms a part of the story when the two remaining graces kidnap his girlfriend Chloe believing she is Aglaia. As he chases them, Aglaia pops up. She tries to convince him to forget about his Chloe and kiss her instead...
