  • I will show you how to upgrade the Virgin V6 box to the new Virgin TV 360 running the new Horizon TV Software.
    The Virgin TV upgrade was pretty smooth. The instructions say it can take up to 1 hour. Mine took about 10 minutes. It was very simple, easy to follow instructions and worked well.
    Please note - when you perform the upgrade - you will lose all recording etc on the current v6 boxes you have. So all series links etc will need to be setup again once the upgrade is compete.

    Gonna call them on Monday and go for the upgrade. I think the voice control is gonna make a big difference also, I really like the look of the interface, nice and clean and modern too!

      @@thereviewdaduk Hi again. Something I wanted to confirm. I have 3 V6 boxes in my house, will Virgin update all three boxes, or will I need to have their new mini multi room boxes?,
      In their information it says - customers can have up to 3 V6 boxes ( one primary and 2 mini boxes?)
      I was under the impression my current 3 V6 boxes would get the update for a one off payment of £24:95, and I’d receive 3 new remote controls,
      Is that correct?

      @@PaulsPlace1977 When I called and said I had 2 boxes, they said they would send 2 remotes. They do say up to 3 boxes. So, if existing, then they would all just upgrade to the new software. Not sure why they would remove two and bring two new Mini boxes. I think it might be fore new customers and giving them the mini boxes.

      @@thereviewdaduk Just an update - Been on the phone to them 5 times this afternoon l, spoke to 4 different people!
      First guy said it wasn’t available and would of been £24:95 per box ? offered to email me when it’s available ? - that was wrong!
      Second Indian lady wanted to send new boxes and re contract me? - that was wrong,
      Third guy put me on hold to check and cut me off?,
      Ended up on the phone over half an hour to a girl called Cerys who’s in the process of sorting it for me, waiting for a call back. System is saying I need an Engineer because I have more than 2 boxes - even though technically I don’t,
      Trying to arrange a self install for me. She’s also waved the upgrade fee, so it’s not going to cost me anything. Just waiting on the callback,
      Seriously, it shouldn’t have to be this hard and the amount of different things you’re told by different agents it’s shocking!

    Finally managed to get mine after waiting a little while. I still don’t quite understand Virgins price plans though. They wanted £85 altogether and then I said nah, went out of contract and they were ringing me and saying it’s now £60 for 200 Mbps, a booster pod and TV 360 with HD channels and BT Sport. I was told this package was £100 but with 300 Mbps. Just don’t get it sometimes but happy with what I got and if you don’t ask, you don’t get. Great video

      Yeah, We have the v6 and they wanted to put our rental up by £4 a month, we kicked off, threatened to leave. Now we are getting the 360 box for 20 quid less a month for 18 months....Guess they rely on most people paying up without complaint!!

      @Nathan Mcilveen That’s exactly right, there’s no such thing as a separate V360 box. I think some people are getting confused by this. It’s just a V6 box running the upgraded 360 platform, this is the reason existing V6 boxes can be quickly upgraded over air,
      The V360 is marketing jargon used by VM , Primarily to entice new customers

    All depends how much all this Stream 360 is they say no contact and cancel any but how easy is it. Bet you have to have it 18 months.. looks good as well. Do you still need cable wire plug in or doe’s it run through your wireless

    I find it exciting to watch British TV technology. if something new is brought out in the UK, it always comes 1 year later in Germany. For us, Vodafone is the cable TV provider and our product is called Giga TV. At sky Germany, what you have already had for a year always comes to us. SO it was with sky Q. On April 1st, we will also receive the Sky Comedy and SKy crime channels in Germany. You Brits are always 1 to 2 years ahead of us in TV technology.       Germany is always behind the UK, and has been for decades. If Rupert Murdoch hadn't bought Premiere Pay TV in Germany, we would be even further behind. Our state television ARD & ZDF are also based on the BBC. The catch up is called "Mediathek", which translates as media library, and here too the BBC i player was only approached a year ago. Germans are
      not experimental in the TV area. With us, Sky anytime came much later. At that time we had a media mogul who wanted to advance his channels and media through lobbyism through politics and bribes and he prevented any innovation. This gives us a bad cable TV network. Many people think if they have an HD TV that they will watch HD even if the program is in SD quality. What is new is that in Germany you have to pay for HD TV and 4k and Germans do not like to pay for television. It is also very difficult for sky to recruit new customers here. At that time everything was already coded in Videocrypt with you and with us everything was always free, only the Premium Pay TV was not. The German media mogul passed away and left a huge bankruptcy, which meant that television had to rearrange itself. Because Germans don't like to pay for TV and because everything was prevented by the mogul, we UK are at least 5 years behind in terms of TV innovation. You are also welcome to take a look at the German Sky website, then you can see at first glance that Sky Germany is far behind Sky UK. There is no sky mobile, no sky broadband and the on-demand content, box sets and movies are much less with sky than with you. Sky Cinema shows a new TV premiere every day in the UK and only 12 to 16 new films a month in Germany. But it is fun to watch the UK videos and u are happy that a lot is coming to Germany soon. www.sky.de

      @@frankteitz7043 hi Frank there was certain features you’ve got for sky Q that we haven’t received in the UK/Eire Sky Q for Apple TV and the new sky Q streaming box to name a couple of things.
      I’ve noticed between Germany/Austria and Italy seems to be skies beta testing ground.
      The only thing I will say will have before anybody else because it’s coming out in two weeks is Sky Glass.
      All in all though I would say but you’re not missing out on owt (anything)

      sky Glass is also coming to Germany. Has already been announced for similar prices. There is only one product left in Austria that is not available for Germany, UK and Italia. This is called sky X. Sky X is a streaming service that can be canceled on a monthly basis and the hardware is the British Sky Mini Box. Otherwise you have more content on sky than we do. sky Boradand and sky Mobile do not exist here either. However, we have no commercial breaks on any of the entertainment channels. Sky One, Comedy, and the others only show commercials between shows. Germany is a complicated market for Pay Tv because we have an infinite number of free to air channels. Almost everything is free here, only the HD versions cost money. We already have 35 free to air channels for state television plus free television. In Germany there are only 15 million customers who have subscribed to Pay Tv from around 80 million inhabitants. skyx.sky.at/

      @@frankteitz7043 Very familiar with sky X as it replaced sky ticket in Austria exclusively (or as we know Sky Ticket in the UK NOW).
      I always thought sky X would’ve been great.
      One of the reasons I like sky X specifically is because it’s basically sky on a 30 day rolling with the Q UIso ultimately it has more of a premium for you on a 30 day rolling.
      How many HD channels do you have that are free? Or are they all pay-TV exclusive?
      Freeview here in the UK we have 11 channels that are HD, for me I think freeview TV kind of sucks because we’re not in 2005 anymore where we could’ve got away with standard def broadcasting.
      Even if we got the HD broadcasts for SD channels that we currently have on Freeview here in the UK I’d be very happy.
      So do you have sky Q where you reside in Germany? Or are you with another pay-TV service?
      If you have Q has the app for Apple TV being revamped? Is it any good? What are your thoughts on accessing Q through the Apple TV?
      Don’t mind me I just find the similarities kind of interesting amongst all the differences.
      I mean have you got sky fibre in Germany or was that an exclusive to Italy?
      The only thing I don’t like about queue in Germany is I’m not overly keen on the hardware box.
      I’m glad though that great minds think alike when it comes to sky X because it literally is a Q mini box that’s been gutted 😂

    I've watched this video a couple of times now, as I was considering 'upgrading' to the 360 but after discovering that some of the features of my current V6 box will disappear, I think I'll keep what I've got as it works perfectly well - except for the odd catch-up channel, that is.

      I suppose it depends how important those particular features are to you over how well it works and how good it looks compared to TiVo,
      For me, loosing a few features (for now maybe) is certainly not a deal breaker. TiVo software is badly out of date

    Thanks for the vid, I'm considering upgrading and locking the price in before the price hikes.
    Is there a direct button to the recordings, like there is on my current v6 remote ('my shows' button) ? I don't like the idea of multiple button presses to get to recordings.

    As someone with Virgin broadband and telephone and Sky TV, I'm considering whether to move over to Virgin for everything. My question though is what connection does the main box need. Is it ethernet or is it the f type coax connection. The reason I ask this is I can't rip up the floor to add an f type connection but I already have ethernet to the TV cabinet. I saw there is the older style coax connector on the back. What is that for, why would you need to plug an aerial in if you already have free view channels via the box.

      @@thereviewdaduk Not as easy as i had hoped...lol. Switched on both of my V6 boxes and started the install process on the living room V6. About 10mins into the install i got a Message saying Upgrade Failed (error MA14/4/40). Tried to start the upgrade process again but the option to upgrade to 360 from the V6 Home Screen disappeared. Thought i'd try to do the upgrade from the second V6 box but got a message saying upgrade process has already been started on another V6 box. Eventually got the upgrade to 360 message back on the Living Room V6 and tried to go again...It failed straight away with the same message. I had to call tech support, they said to switch off both boxes and try again...that didn't work. The person i spoke to said she's going to send a signal to force the boxes to upgrade...and it worked! Was on the phone to them for 50mins and was worried they were going to say we need to replace your boxes which wasn't ideal as i wanted to have recording facilities on both boxes, and as i understand it, Virgin supply one main box which is basically the V6 with 360 software and another mini box which has no hard drive in it. But have 360 on both my V6 boxes and quite like it. Its lost some of the features i used regarding recording and being able to set a channel to each of the 6 built in tuners. But on the whole i really like it...Im sure more feature are on the horizon.

      Hi George. You can go back. It depends on the channel and show as well. It also gives you options when it is on next, record a series link, and other ways on how yiu can watch it.

    Are the remotes still wireless (as opposed to IR)? My V6 box is tucked away out of sight, so need to know if I need line of sight between remote and box. Cheers

      I use the remote and the box is under the cupboard tucked away and it still works fine. So, it should be fine.

    Is there anyway to just manually record a channel? for example I watch Sky Sports F1 alot, and often the epg timings are out of sync with what is actually being shown, so I just like to manually record the channel all day on a Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm. Is this still possible on the 360 firmware?

      You can't record a channel. You can click on each program from 8am to 8pm and click record on each in the guide.

    Hi - great video! Quick question though - I have an LG smart TV which has the usual streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+, Prime, RUclips etc) installed already, is there any merit to get a Virgin TV box? What other channels/programmes do they offer that aren’t readily available on others? Thanks

    Great video , can you let me know if the TV box can connect using WiFi only or does it need a cable (ethernet)? , My main socket from BT is in an awkward place in the kitchen right at the back so currently need to drill 2 holes and a very long cable to connect to the TV in first living room. Or do you know if virgin will let you choose where they put their main socket ? Thanks

      Needs the coax cable AND an Ethernet cable/WiFi. An engineer would sort this out though.

    Hi.. before the upgrade I was able to search HD channels now I can't seem to find that option. Has the HD channel list been removed on the 360 box...

    The kind people at Virgin told me once the V6 boxes do the upgrade one of them will be able to play wirelessly without having that white cable connected to the box. Is that true? I know the mini box can do that but what about the V6 box after the upgrade?

    I saw the invitation to upgrade today (it appears to have been languishing in my inbox for a couple of days). I was about to hit that upgrade button when I saw your video. Now, I was already a little concerned about the voice-activated remote (I was thinking of just using the old one) but it's going to clear my recordings? Seriously? What about my series links? Will I lose them too, just like I did when upgrading from Tivo to V6 despite them saying I can copy them over? Why does it need to clear the recordings? VM really, really, need to come up with a better way of upgrading that doesn't involve losing everything you already have.Thanks for the video, by the way, it saved me some anguish.

    My remotes should be delivered tomorrow, at this moment in time I’ve have no option on any menu to upgrade. Do you think that option appears on the delivery date of the remotes? Great video BTW. 👍🏻

      Hi Andrew. Thanks for stopping by...try this. They say it works on the V6 box.
      Use the following sequence of keystrokes:
      OK
      Back
      Play
      OK
      Back
      9
      OK
      Only do this while watching a channel with no other display on the screen, especially the red button prompt. (The time display uses the same screen position as the red button and the red button no longer displays once the clock is in place).
      As well as the clock, this ‘Easter egg’ displays a timer when you are playing recordings.
      Good luck! If it doesn’t work the first time, try again as the timing of the key presses is important.
      Be aware that a reboot of the box removes the clock and you’ll have to rekey the sequence.

      Since the upgrade. I have not really tried. I did since your comment and it did not work. I did not want to try pair it again as it might mess up the current new remote pairing.

    Are they rolling this upgrade up to all customers so you know?. I have 3 v6 boxes in my house but I’ve had no contact regarding an upgrade to the new 360 software!

      Yes they are. Contact them via the online chat and request your new remotes. I did that and they arrived a few days later. Then you can perform the upgrade.

      Gonna wait and see how it pans out. Not sure why they are charging for early access to this?. I assume the Horizon UI is going to replace the TiVo software? - So everyone who has a virgin tv package will have to have it eventually anyway,
      I’ve never heard of being charged a fee because the provider has changed UI’s?
      Virgin trying to cash in by offering early access. I’ll stay as I am and wait till they offer it for free to everyone. I’ve heard mixed reviews on its performance too!

      Yes, the upgrade moves to the Horizon software. Lots of mixed reviews. Guess it is the same when Facebook changes the look and feel. Loads of talk and opinions and a few months later, nothing. They do need to work on a few things, but that will come with time. Nothing is perfect at first release.

      Did you ever upgrade? We have 2 v6 boxes and I am hesitant to consider it as it sounds like we'd lose one of the boxes in favour of the 360 mini boxes. It's what is putting me off even wanting it. We need the two separate boxes as it's a large family and we don't want to share one main box. Plus the two boxes mean we can record 12 shows at once if need be.

    I'm still using the original tivo box. As a long time vm customer I dont know why I've never been offered an upgrade to this box. Is the upgrade worth it and should I contact their customer services to do this upgrade.

      I like the upgrade for my usage. But, you cannot retrieve deleted shows in case you make a mistake.

      Yes, it basically formats the drive inside the box and installs new software. Similar to when you format a PC and have to setup everything again.

      The department I went through on 150 was option 3 for upgrades. Should I have not done this option?
      I reached out my troubles to the Virgin Community and one forum member came back with this link to upgrade.

      I've now put in the request to upgrade but I went for the one off £24.95 cost option as wanted to stay in my contract terms that I've recently renewed upgrading to Gig1.
      Should be receiving two new remotes to replace the V6 remotes. I'm not sure if they are replacing the V6 boxes, but from the order confirmation the delivery is next week, and should be a software update.

    I have 2 boxes a original Tivo box upstairs and a V6 box downstairs. I am only being sent a replacement upgrade for the original Tivo box and not the V6. How do I install and pare the 360 box to the original Tivo box without effecting anything on the V6 box as your instructions mention only mention paring the V6.I do not want to loose all my recordings on the newer v6 box and would think I do not need to pare to the V6 at all. TIA

      If you are replacing your box with a new one, then recording on it will be on the old box. I am not aware of any transfer that can be done with this at this stage.

      Thanks for the question. The red, green, yellow and blue buttons are used by channels and apps. Sometimes a channel asks for the red button to be pressed for more options etc - that would be the red button next to the other coloured buttons. Hope this helps.

      Sky Sport is usually an addon of channels for the packages they sell. If you take out a higher package it can come with them. the same for Sky Movies etc.

      Hi Jat P. Apart from using it as a charging point, the USB on the V6 is not used for anything else. The 3.5mm stereo audio jack & the optical audio out do work. Looking at the video again at 00:48, we can see the label for USB states - USB - not currently in use (between 3 & 4). I would assume a firmware update at some point could enable it for use.

    I went from Sky Q to Virgin tv 360 a couple of days ago after Sky was ripping us off and not bothering to offer us a good deal. Because our fibre broadband and landline is with Virgin they offered us a good deal where as Sky wouldn’t budge. They were only offering us a very basic package for £5 with freeview channels, no HD/UHD and no Netflix and that’s it where as Virgin is offering us 200+ channels, HD and UHD content and Netflix, free weekend calls and 100mb fibre broadband for £51 a month. Even though we have been a customer with SKY since 2008 they still wouldn’t offer us a deal that could beat Virgins.
    I hope it’s worth the change otherwise I am gonna give up watching the tele and read books instead 😂😂😂

      @@smithy2365 tbh I regret it now. With the Virgin 360 box if I miss a program then I can’t download any programs cos Virgin media doesn’t have the catch up service like the Sky Q box and you need to sign up to BBC iPlayer and The ITV Hub and if you accidentally deleted a program then you can’t restore it whereas on the Sky Q you can. Ironically the Virgin TiVo V6 box had this feature so I don’t why Virgin did not include this in their 360 box which is the flagship box.
      Also if you have lost your remote control then you can’t press a button on the Virgin 360 box like you do on the Sky Q box and on the older Virgin TiVo V6 box. But at least the Virgin 360 box has much better resolution than the Sky Q box. Maybe cos the Sky Q box uses satellite signals and the Virgin 360 uses cable signals.

    Ordered mine and having two new tv360 boxes delivered, even though I already have three V6 boxes? Also appears you can only have two TV360 boxes as I have currently three V6 boxes but to get TV360 I have to downgrade to two? so having to send back my three V6 boxes?       This doesn’t make sense because the tv360 box is just a V6 box, it’s exactly the same box? which is why they can do an over air upgrade if you already have them,
      The only exception is if your a customer on an older TiVo box, then you’ll need a V6. For some reason, Virgin are confusing things by giving the impression there is such a thing as a V360 box, but there isn’t - as I’ve said - it’s just a V6 box - V360 is the new service your upgrading too, not the box!
      I have 3 V6 boxes, so the upgrade will apply to each box, and a new remote control sent for each,
      Did you not notice the onscreen message in this video? - during the upgrade it said - if you have more than one v6 box, make sure they are turned on and connected to the internet, as they’ll all be upgraded after the first box
      I’m calling them tomorrow to get the upgrade hopefully. I’m certainly not messing about sending boxes back, to be sent the same box again - that’s stupid and not logic!
      The only differences are in the new mini boxes - but if you already have V6 boxes, you don’t need the new mini boxes!

      Once you upgrade it basically formats the box and installs the new Horizon 4 software and wipes it clean. So everything is deleted.

      If the Bose Sound bar is directly connected to my TV via optical then it’s volume should be controlled by the TV 360 remote. I guess you need to test it out and see.

    I had to cancel my 360 as it was a terrible “upgrade” it’s more of a “downgrade” - half the apps are not brought over from TiVo, there’s no NEW flags on new programming, fast forwarding keeps scrolling from the speeds soo often go from fast to slow etc - no FIRST AIRED date, - just weeks like a downgrade

      @@thereviewdaduk I’m a very heavy user of TiVo - and I loved it - unfortunately when upgrading my package I was made to upgrade - but I’m not at all employing 360 - but I have it until 19th April (30 days notice) - shame it didn’t have wishlists - a list of series links, nicer subtitle font, Netflix forces 5.1 surround sound even if you don’t want 5.1 (like late night) -- my mum has Sky and that’s quite similar to 360 so I’ve had to create a Freeview server running custom DVR (Channels DVR) which gives me back some of the TiVo options

    AHH more problems.the screen to press OK on the new remote won't work.the light on the box flashes but nothing happens when pressing ok on the new remote.i can't manually pair as there's no verification code on the box that it mentions. Damn.

      Sussed this.i used the new remote too early and it got confused. If anyone else gets this you can fix it by pressing the TV button just under the home button and rewind for 10 seconds until the standby button flashes. This resets the remote and then it was good to go.

      Hi Bryce. Sorry to hear that. Have you tried turning the box off, removing the power cord for a few minutes and then trying to boot it up again? If that does not work, maybe a factory reset will work, but then you will lose all recording etc.

    Whats not being said is you have to renew your contract with virgin if you dont they wont repair you equipment with out paying i check all this out so be mindfull before you change

      I already did an upgrade prior to last a lengthy amount of time, so this just added on a month or two. So not a big issue for me. Been with Virgin for many years now.

      Repairs to any Virgin equipment is free to all subscribing customers, regardless of being in a contract or not,
      As far as I’ve been informed, the new Horizon software update is free for customers that re contract, and £24;95 one off fee for those that don’t,
      If you don’t want to re contest, you stay as you are, on the TiVo software. Your repairs are still completely free!
      Repairs have nothing to do with contracts. As long as your a paying virgin media customer, all your equipment repairs are free!! - you don’t always have to be in a locked contract to be a paying customer either,
      Most customers have package deals within a 12 or 18months contact. When those contracts end, you pay the standard pricing ( unless you leave or Renegotiate)

      Hi Chantelle. Thanks for stopping by. Good question. I did some digging around and found out that at this point in time - the recover option for deleted items is not present. I think this will be added in the upcoming software updates along with other features too. I must say that this is a fail on their part when releasing new software like this...but I am sure it will be added soon. There are always teething problems when rolling out things like this.

      Yep, you lose a massive load of TiVo features; Wishlists, Recommendations, Recently Deleted, Series Link+, recording space and tuners (if you get the mini box) etc. It’s a cost saving exercise by Liberty Global.

      I found this on a forum.
      Although this a broadcaster issue in breaking a film to show something in the middle, I think the 360 box does treat the two sections as separate episodes, whereas I'm pretty sure a TiVo / V6 would see it as one long recording including the break for the other show.
      The Harry Potter films on ITV2 today and tomorrow have a 'FYI Daily' 5 minutes show inserted which on the 360 EPG means the film is showing as 'Ep1' and 'Ep2' to ensure both parts record.

    How do i find my recordings without using the voice command and how do I delete shows

      Recordings are under Saved in the Menu when pressing the Home button. To delete there is an option when on the show to do this or once the show is about to end - a small pop up window shows in the top right of the screen asking if you want to keep or delete the show.

      @@karengriffiths6965 If you go to your saved items, then there is a small rubbish bin icon next to it and this gives you two options when you click on it and one is to delete that episode and the others is for the series. Or you can go into one of the episodes and the same options are there for delete.

      Hi Stu. Some channels have that had standard and HD is now only HD versions. The channel should say HD. You should be able to access them.

    Is anyone running two v6 boxes (each with their own hard drive) on 360 software without issue?
    I ask because 2 separate vm engineers have said to me you can’t do this, and that one box would have to be a mini box, therefore losing 1tb of storage!

      HI Dan. Hope all is well. thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment. I have two boxes with 1TB drives in each. I ran the upgrade on the one box as per the video and then the other box upgraded as well. Both boxes since the upgrade have been working fine with no issues. Continuing shows where we left off from either box works fine. Recordings etc. All fine. Did you speak to installation engineers or frontline staff on the usually contact number for Virgin Media? If so, they are just trained up to sell the product and do not know the combinations or more technical details of installs. Hope this helps.

    I had an installation booked for 11th Jan, they cancelled that and rebooted it for 29th Jan, they cancelled that booking too. After leaving it for a while I got in touch with VM at the weekend and they 'escalated' My booking and got me in for Wed 31st March (yesterday) a day later they fucking cancelled the install again! Might get it but 2022, if I don't go to Sky TV first 😡🙄

      Thanks for stopping by - There is also a one-off charge of £24.95 for the remotes. The software upgrade will then be available to run once the remotes arrive. If you do not do this on your own, then system will do the upgrade within 7 days. Hope this helps.

      what if you only have 1 box - that’s £24:95 for 1 remote?,
      I have three V6 boxes, and would require 3 new remotes , but I’d still be charged the same?,
      That doesn’t add up to me!
      I’m giving Virgin a call after the bank holiday to see exactly what their justification is for the upgrade charge!
      It’s a box software upgrade to the user interface - not sure how they can charge for that at all!

    Horrific programme. The old version was much easier to navigate. Virgin upgraded our two V6 boxes, none of us can use it properly, and it still seems to have problems. Their customer service is so unhelpful we've left them and gone to Sky

    Worst mistake ever upgrading to TV 360 wish there was a way to get V6 back if there is anyone please help me out there's not even a deleted section on TV 360 and when you download alot of shows it mixes the ones that have and haven't been recorded yet and random ads keep appearing when you tap the home button so when you press home the screen that's meant to show the show on live TV. I really hope virgin lets me downgrade back to v6 if not I'll have to go back to Sky

    how much storage did your V6 box have? Im new to Virgin so have the new 360 and 360 mini hardware.
    Disappointed it is only 1TB, especially since its a new platform and supposed to be future proof for a good few years
    If your V6 had more than 1TB and still does after the upgrade, it might suggest I can just swap a bigger drive into mine

    I am registered disable, three spinal ops and left in Mega pain each and every day.
    Somewhere along the line whilst under the influence of heavy pain-killers which I have to take daily (29 pills in all with other illness's) I somehow 'missed' it would seem that Last month my Virgin Media bill jumped away up from £65, to £80+ and then this months Virgin Media Bill £120.60 ??????????????
    So I called them (I live in Glasgow) and told the fella (how seemed very decent) that there was no way that I could ever afford such an amount.
    So after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, the fella told me that he could now offer me the exact self same package for £65.00 ?
    I then asked about the NEW Vrigin Media Box which our Daughter has from just the other week there to be told, Mr ******* YOU Have The V6 Box my friend and are totally UP-TO-DATE ?
    What do you folks reckon that I should now do please ? (Surely £65.00 or so can get me better)

    How do you delete a app my Netflix on V6 box is playing up I want to delete it to reinstall to see if that would work but when I go to apps there is no way of deleting?

      HI Darren. No, the boxes are locked. Have you removed your account from the app, then rebooted the box? removed the power cable and then plugged it back in and restarted it, then logged back into the app? Let me know how you get on with this and then we can see from there. Keep well.

      @@thereviewdaduk the only problem is I can't get on to Netflix as a error will show so I can't log out I have taken the power cable out and still the same I don't understand as my smart TV has the app built in and that will work the only problem with that is I have to keep using different controllers.

      @@darrenwilliams7741 Hmmm, that is weird. So you have removed the power cord and left it for a bit and turned it back on? the only other option is to do a factory reset, but then you lose everything, all recording etc. Like you would if formatting a PC or resetting a smart phone.

      @@thereviewdaduk all sorted when the error message show's up it will also show message saying more details you click on that then you can reset Netflix to the sign up /log on page then you just have to log back in and it will reload 😁

    360 mini box is terrible, had virgin for a month now , At the start it had the odd crash, Now it can do it every 10 mins or so. Connected via ethernet on Gig internet, The main box has no issue, Got a engineer coming out to probably replace the box but I wont hold my breath for a fix, Sky was expensive but at least there mini box worked

    Just letting people know that I've upgraded mine to 360 and I regret it big time. All it offers is a fancy user interface and you lose a lot of great features such as being able to recover deleted recordings. If you delete something on 360 you can't get it back. The series link is messy, can't set it to record just new episodes for one series. More cons than pros I'm afraid.

      Ditto here to mate. I'm impressed with some stuff but like previous comment lost some things I liked with my old remote. Like the "skip button" feature. I know you can fast forward but that's not as good Also missing the same things as previous comment.
      I have big big regrets now ☹️☹️

      Im sure it’s tells you in the advert for it that it couldn’t recover deleted recordings , which I don’t have a problem with as it just uses up space that can be better used , and why delete recordings if you if it bothers you , I think it’s fantastic upgrade 👍👍

    Ugh! It's just awful, I can't express enough how poor it is, it doesn't even do a quarter of the things the TiVo box could do, it's actually ten steps backwards in comparison. And now virgin say they can't revert me back as they are phasing out TiVo, I'm so disgusted with it's lack of functions, options and dreadful recording archiving that I will be leaving virgin media ASAP...

      I dont think you can. Im prompted for PIN every time I change to any Sky Cinema channel even though parental control is off.
      Very irritating, but I think it might be due to some legislation beyond Virgins control
