I would totally leave the length. That way you get the best of both worlds, long hair and short layers and you still have that traditional feminine look. This would look so good blow dried upside down with some volume spray too! I have visited so may different stylists and THIS is the style I'm always asking for, but never get... it seems like nobody even knows how to cut layers period anymore. It's a lost art! This cut slays.
I hear so many people complain that they can never get the layers they don't and it's so sad to hear!! I'm glad you liked the length, yes this would be great styled the way you mentioned!

I find that volumizing dry shampoo makes the layers pop out even more, very princess and rock n' roll at the same time.

You did an amazing job. Not my personal favorite but you did amazing anyways. I have extremely long hair so this cut is a no no but am I the only one who loves a heavy bottom look. Like I love my hair to be all one length with super long layers.
Yes, I prefer a little longer layers for this cut but a good visual for those who want shorter! I'm a little over my layers and I'm tempted to go back to a lob and start the grow out process again long layer style 😄

This is no more then the ducks ass or better known as da and the long style of the feathered hair cut back in the mid 70s. I know this for a fact because I have had my hair cut back when I was a previous teen and had it done for the first time by the salon. Then I started cutting this style since then and everyone else's hair. That's all this is... my hair style. Just a little easier way with the two pony tails. This isn't newly evened.

You can do it, you will just be a lot less full because it has so many layers. My other version of this cut is better for finer hair types.
