I've been to 5 shows since 1995. 1 @ The Opera House in Toronto. 2 @ a nightclub on Shelbourne..once at Budweiser Stage and once somewhere else. Each time they were AMAZING. absolutely the loudest band I've ever heard!
The band *need* their own equipment, their samples and loops and hard drives and tech stuff to be able to perform live - if the TV show or schedule can't accomodate that, then they perform to playback. At the end of the day it's to promote the single which is the important thing. Proper live performances are better after the song becomes known to the public and is in the charts.
The band need their own equipment (instruments, computers, stacks etc) to perform live - there just wasnt time to accomodate every show they went to that week - they basically performed this song on a different show every day for two weeks back at the end of march 2005..and in some cases two shows one after the other.
It does suck when she has to lip-sync since she's not actually bad when live.but, if that was necessary at the time, then I don't mind at all.I'm just glad that they performed!
tv studio politics , they just don t want ANYTHING to go wrong and have it scriped it all out ... perfect fasade at any cost ... there have been top of the pops documentarys out there talkin about it .... for each year it existed they made one episode, its availible on youtube here
