Still today they are mind blowing!
These are the best speakers I have ever heard. If I had 23,000 dollars I would buy a pair.
In one word: recommended.
I got a two systems of B&O and are extraordinary and fantastic. Good job, what's next?
Forget meridian and any other company, if you can tell me another company that can present the same class and quality that b&o always gives then reply..
Phenomenal
the beautfulst is the woman with short hairs at 1:51min 🥰🥰 she is amazing good locking
What type of crossover and Pre amp are being used? Analog or digital?
do you get 2 or 1 when you buy it
So is the Corvette and most of the Space Shuttle -- AND most of your computer; what's your point? Don't get me wrong -- I like wood as much as anyone; but, when one has a speaker/amplifier system which equalizes itself with its environment, it doesn't really matter much what materials were used in its construction.
Yeah, I'm a B&O fan; I also like McIntosh.
Whats that, a 12" maybe 15" woofer and they use a thin plastic cabnet
each speaker is only 61kg so i guess it must be thin plastic all the way(ironic). I can tell you this, beolab 5 has the best sound i have ever heard.
Got memes? its 15inch
Horatio Caine and btw its 20mm thick
So how does a fashion company compete against hifi speakers companies like B&W, Usher...?
thats a big woofer!
....and that kids, is how Daleks came to be....!
The BeoLab 5 is the most expensive BeoLab speaker in the range at 24k USD and, ironically, probably the LEAST style over substance model they make. Several Hi-Fi experts have measured these speakers to be incredibly neutral. You could get a pair of B&W 802D for 9k less, but then you'd make up all of those savings in the amplification necessary to drive those power hungry speakers. For this reason the BL5 makes the most sense to buy pre-owned (they were originally 16k in 2003 and haven't changed)
Have you heard BL5. You are right about ALL other B&O speakers but the BL5 is the exeption.....they are not cheap but the sound is nothing less than mindblowing...the rest of their speakers are not worth the money is you talk about sound.
18.730,00 euro's
Amphion
I'll take Meridian over B&O. B&O is more style than sound. Meridian is the technology behind MLP which is used in DVD-A and TrueHD audio for compression. They have the first digital pre amps, crossovers, the best algorithms in the industry. They sandwich metal and wood for resonant free cabinets.
The bass cabinet is made out of plastic
Yea it is made out of plastic, but out of plastic with the same sound acoustics as wood. But with wood you can't make those curves etc. And thats why they use special plastic.
There's nothing else like Bang and Olufsen, the so called audiophiles listen up!!
bowers-wilkins
;)

I am sorry to say that, but it does matter very much. No speaker in the world can overcome its contruction limitations because of equalization.
The truth is, that 70 percent of the investment to Beolab speaker goes to the image and design. That is not necesarilly a bad thing, but if you choose listening to the music in the first place, there is a plenty of better choices for much less money, period.
My Bose speakers are better.
Sure, mate, sure..:)
Oh dear! Yes it's a peace of art, but that's it! B&O is design at a high price!! People with too much money who are mostly deaf or have never heard a REAL high-end stereo go for the looks and cost!!
William Turner name a brand that sells speakers that look good and sound good. I wouldn’t place meridian, kef, denon or any other “Hi-Fi” audio brand in my house with those ugly black boxes they make.. B&W speakers and Harman Kardon look slightly better, but still far off the craftsmanship B&O achieve
