Summed up perfectly
Basically Jordan’s male version is an ultimate defense and the female version is ultimate attack. So the reason why they didn’t catch on fire is because the male Jordan took over. Every time a hit was traded female Jordan got some crazy ass hits in. Honestly my favorite character.
That’s an interesting description of the power I hadn’t really thought of… I think my brain read their ability as the ability to create force effects whenever they shifted, then they also have the durability and strength pretty much all the supes have differing levels of… gonna have to rewatch with that idea tho!

Ya male version basically obsorbs all energy and stores it and then the female version expells it when he punches
i've been wondering what his/her powers are so like the male is the shield and the female is the sword you got to have high senses cus you never know what your enemy will do go for defense or go for offense.... so the male can absorb the kinetic energy and transfer it on the female but the female can't do that to the male?
@@ghostpotato3463 It's not absorbing kinetic energy and then transfering it. It's a lot simpler than that: male form is really tough and invulnerable (like the societal archetype for males), while the female form is agile and can shoot energy blasts
I love how uncomfortable Alex got when Emma started saying all that crazy horny shit at the beginning. It was exactly the kind of lines he would insert as a joke except this time it was actually coming from the character. She held a mirror up to his face and he did not like what he saw 😂

My favorite part was that just like The Boys uses multiple Actors from the cast of Supernatural (probably because it's also an Eric Kripke show) that Gen V continues that tradition by having Alexander Calvert in this who played Jack in Supernatural, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be in Season 4 of The Boys, it's like every season get to play Where's Waldo? Except for it's looking for Supernatural Actors

I get that the Patreon people get all of them at once, but I thought we were gonna get a weekly episode on YT like with The Boys...it's been five weeks with no second episode, that's a bit disappointing...or is it gonna be streched out until the next The Boys season?
I loved Gen V it takes the tropes of those Teen Drama shows and then twists it like it takes topics you'd find in shows like 90% of The CW and turns it into their powers like Marie cuts herself but it's to use her powers, Emmas abilities are basically like an eating disorder, Gender Identity is a popular topic these days and Jordan switches between them as an ability, etc. it's interesting, usually Teen Dramas set in school like Riverdale I get really bored of and hate but this show is similar only fucked up like The Boys which makes it great
That's just my 2 cents not sure if anyone else agrees or not
Misfits may be worth a watch, it was way ahead of its time with the tone and still holds up pretty well, love all the actors in it.

1:52 that's why sexual education is important. Especially for girls. And I don't know why people don't talk with their children about it, ie menstruations. Girls have to be ready for that. Sure it should be age appropriate but the important word it should be. So the girl will not worry and know what to do.

Seriously! It's because there's a purity culture surrounding young girls, and their journey to maturing into women. There's a sick belief that sex education, menstruation, and female sexual health are 'impure' and 'corrupting the innocence of young girls'. When girls as young as 7 or 8, or younger, have gotten their periods. It was never about maintaining the innocence of young girls, it's about controlling women, and their rights to autonomy in a patriarchal society. (Hence the laws being made that restrict autonomy, and endanger the health of women and young girls!) Because if the West ever cared about protecting the youth and preparing them for the future, this country as we know it would drastically shift, and so would the power imbalances. I don't care who says the West is a democracy, we are getting closer to upfront fascism every day. (not like our current fascism is hid so well lmao)

I was prepared. My mom and I talked about it all the time, she explained everything, bought me an age appropriate book. We even went shopping for supplies together. And yet, when it happened the first time, I panicked and started crying because I was sure something was wrong with me. Like Marie, my mom had to burst into the bathroom and calm me down. It's one thing to understand it and another to experience it.

Also more relatable. Most ppl know what its like growing up while trying to fit in and figure out who you are, while crazy shit is also going on, which is what all these characters are going through. Vs the boys characters all being adults with marital, legal, emotional, and drug problems, which is definitely a smaller amount of people in terms of relatability lol
well that's just the nature of The Boys. Most of the cast in The Boys are celebrities. Of course Queen Maeve isn't going to be as relatable as a character like Marie.
It's just a different perspective. I don't think that alone makes one show better than the other. It does give us a new look on the world of The Boys though and enhances the universe.
Probably because out main characters are supes who are morally innocent...unlike in the boys

3:22 i had the same question when i started watching this show. and *spoiler alert*, it was never addressed or shown. But they never show her with bandages on her hand or anything. so i guess she does heal quickly.
Basically every supe has some form of very fast healing, I assume Marie's is more powerful since her power's related to blood

@@bignoseandrew stormfront could have saved her body parts if they heal quickly. Or a train not having a weak heart or blue hawk surviving, he was technically alive hence a train getting his heart. Homelander got a bruise after his fight with butcher and soldier boy, didnt heal "quickly". Im sure theres a lot more examples. The only hero that was shown healing quickly is Kimiko. And have always thought it was a unique power of her like wolverine.

And Marie does have enhanced healing even compared to other supes, it’s part of the reason why she can use much more blood without passing out. I don’t think she heals faster because of her increased blood creation, her healing factor allows her to create blood faster from what I’ve read.
