Ryan Reynolds hated what they did with the Deadpool character in this movie and warned the studio, that fans wouldn't approve. He was right. And if I recall correctly that was his motivation and idea to make a proper Deadpool movie that all started with a trailer.
The thing most people don't realize is they both have ptsd just on different sides. Logan is experiencing oversensitization and he wants to remove himself from what causes the stress while Victor is experiencing desensitization and feels as though he can't live without things like war and death cause he is so used to it and doesn't know what else he can do while Logan wants to do literally anything else. Fun fact: Gambit & Rogue are one of Marvel comic’s most iconic couples. Taylor Kitch was perfect casting for Gambit. The guy practiced nonstop for his stunts; all that fancy bo-staff maneuvering is all him. He had the natural suave of the character. So underrated.
And Gambit alone is an iconic X-Men character. I mean the producers back then had no idea what they were doing with superhero movies. They had for awhile and then they went off the rails woke and ruined the beauty of superheroes once again
Gambit was my favorite X-man when I was a kid, & when I saw him in this movie, I was so hyped up! I was sure he'd have his own movie... Sigh. Hopefully, someday, they'll finally get him a good part in the 'Mutant Saga'.. I just hope I'll still be alive before it finally comes out! 🤘😣🤞
You mean since 1991 with the later comics, in a fairly niche area of comics? Seems like one of those endless neo-fictions and relationships that came by the late-1980s. I dislike most of that. Some comics of this era are great, but most of the changes/additions are terrible compared to the 1940s through 1970s (though I do have mixed feelings about this period, as well -- it's just a bit more stable and classical). Some great changes to Superman were made later, though, and I like some of Alan Moore did. I also love the addition of Bane and some other details of Batman and DC in general when it comes to the dark heroes/anti-heroes. This mostly started with the likes of Wolverine in 1975 or whenever. I love the other darker elements of Marvel that came between about 1975 and 1986, such as The Punisher and Daredevil -- and I love those movies, too (unlike most comic fans, haha. I'm a sucker for superhero movies). So, it's not all bad at all post-1960s. Anyway, there's no way it's one of the most 'iconic couples'. Maybe to X-Men comic fans -- but very few humans even know that. I certainly never knew that. I always have mixed feelings about comic couples, but they often seem weird to me. They either do it purely for fan service or as a plot device to keep things going over the years, so it's always very unnatural and not great storytelling. Batman is one of the worst. Robin and Batman ended up having about 5 million kids and parents and God knows what else going on. It's all over the place. Not to mention, they literally killed Robin (Todd) because everybody hated him, and then they loved him after he died. What a mess. Comics are very weird (but, I am actually a massive Batman fan and most of my comics are Batman, haha). I've also always been a huge X-Men movies fan (at least, almost all of them), though I know they are generally disliked by most comic fans and many movie fans, as well. Not read enough X-Men comics to comment on that, but some of them seem great. I must be one of the few people to actually love this movie. I'm biased, that's for sure -- and it's not a great movie, I know that. I just love it and always have.
@@silentassason've always wanted to see Logan in his army era , he was friends with cap in ww2 in xmen evolution and the ultimate universe but I'm not sure about the regular comics , in the mcu they planned for magneto to get rescued by cap during the first cap movie and Logan would've met cap as well, it's my head Canon that happened in the montage scene in cap 1 where he goes blowing up hydra bases
Geez, I thought he had already watched Deadpool. I was about to tear into him. Good thing I scrolled down to check to see if someone had beat me to it.
To give a little bit of comic lore that usually gets lost on the X-Men viewings: Weapon 1 was Captain America, and Wolverine is part of the tenth attempt to make supersoldiers
Fun fact: In the comics wolverine and Captain America were in world war 2 together. Wolverine lived in Canada. What an unstoppable duo. They could beat the axis all on there own
“Maybe a nuke or a missile could kill him” Ahaha… well in a comic of Wolverine it was shown that mere moments after being blown up by a nuke he had already regenerated from ash to his flesh and was standing there claws out.
Homelander's Gooch! I'm sure someone has already explained this, but here's what I understand about the Deadpool situation: Ryan Reynolds has always loved/wanted to play Deadpool. When this role came up, he jumped at the chance. But after reading the script, he obviously hated it. During a conversation with the higher-ups about how bad this version of Deadpool was, he was basically given an option by Fox: Either take this role and potentially get your own Deadpool movie somewhere down the line, or you'll never get a chance to play Deadpool. So he did it, then later filmed a trial shot (Deadpool on the bridge) which went unreleased for 4 years before being "leaked" (possibly by Reynolds himself). Fans went crazy over it, movie got green-lit.....leading to the Deadpool we have now. As for Gambit, there was talk for years about him getting a spin-off which I believe Channing Tatum had actually signed up for. They were about to start production when Disney bought Fox. The production of Gambit was then canned. Hope this clears things up, Mr. Goochman. Looking forward to you getting to the (proper) Deadpool movies
Fun fact: Deadpool knew as soon as Ryan Reynolds was initially contacted by MARVEL/Fox/whatever about the role. He immediately made a joke in a comic book that he looked like Ryan Reynolds if he was bitten by a radioactive shar-pei or something like that. Reynolds himself likes to tell the story that it was actually the first Deadpool comic he has ever read, and he randomly opened it up to see his own name. IDK if that's made up, but it sounds like fate
Fun Fact - Adamantium is a metalic alloy made by mixing melted Vibranium and Steel together, then set to form into a new metallic alloy, "Adamantium." So they were searching for a Vibranium rock at the beginning and found more of the Vibranium rock in Africa or Wakanda
Bonus fun fact, Adamantium was a failed attempt at replicating the alloy used to create Captain America's shield, which to this day still has not been replicated.
I don't know if that's been retconned in the comics, but originally, adamantium was simply a different metal from vibranium. Where vibranium absorbs vibrations, adamantium can cut through anything if given a sharpened edge. Cap's shield was made of a unique alloy of vibranium and adamantium which no one was able to ever duplicate. Vibranium was found only in Wakanda, and IIRC, adamantium was found only in the Savage Land in Antarctica.
@PhilBagels Adamantium and Vibranium are similar and also yet different. Adamantium is heavier and more dense, making it stronger, more unbreakable. Vibranium, however, is lighter, more durable, easier to wield or handle, and completely vibration absorbent. But also very strong, nearly unbreakable. Magneto is unable to control Vibranium, but he can control Adamantium Also, Adamantium can be only damaged/destroyed from extreme high temperatures
@@hunterquate9436 well they are changing it in mcu , the metal will come from the celestial that sersi put to sleep in eternals , tiamuth will be source of that metal
@anjan4878 Yeah, they have changed a few things in MCU. Like Spiderman doesn't have Harry Osborn as his best friend, MJ's real name wasn't "Mary Jane." And one cool thing in comics, Wanda and Quicksilver, were Magnetos children, but not in MCU. Mutants are just beginning to get introduced now
Fun fact: im pretty sure this ending fight is a reference to the “Three mile island accident” which was a partial nuclear meltdown in a Pennsylvania town in 1979. So in this “universe”, it’s to be believed that they spread the story of a meltdown to cover up why the reactor was really destroyed. My mom lived a few towns over when the real accident happened and pointed it out when we first watched this movie! This movie may be messy, but I will always love it in some way. Plus that opening war montage is still one of my favorite movie intros ever, so well done!!
So this movie has some accuracy in regards to Wolverines origin but it also changed quite a few things. - James Howlett is Wolverines real name and his brother is Sabertooth. - Sabertooth is also is the original X-Men movie but he was played by a wrestler. - In the comics, Wolverine lost his memory during the adamantium bonding process for the Weapon X project. - In the comics, Frank Dukes is a mutant named Blob and he is very strong and almost immovable when he wants to be. - Cyclops did not meet Professor X like he did here - Gambit became an X-Men later and was romantically involved with Rogue - This Deadpool is not the same as the one in the Deadpool movie. There's more but that's the highlights.
I always loved the character Gambit, and his powers from the animation and comics. Really enjoyed Taylor Kitsch's all too brief moments here; he caught some of Remy Lebeau's suave, handsome attributes. Too bad they didn't do the follow up solo movie for him, and his romantic connection with Rogue.
I´d love to get him recast for more Gambit in upcomming movies, I had a fangirl crush with that character since the 90s and I liked how he did it, too bad he just was in this one, because I would have loved to see him again. (in the solo movie they were going to get Channing Tatum but I actually loved Tayor´s way to do it)
I loved Friday Night Lights and when I saw his casting as Gambit I was stoked. I wished he could've been given more of a chance to play the character, I still really liked his portrayal. I might be remembering wrong, but I could've sworn I saw an early leaked version of the film where there was much more purple present in the effect of his kinetic energy abilities but idk it was a long time ago lol
I honestly wanted to see a full series of films with him. He wasn't the Gambit I fell in love with from the tv show but he played the character well enough.
I'm sad channing tatums gambit movie got canceled he seems so passionate about the character and everything I heard about the gambit movie script sounded super cool like a rated R mutant Goodfellow movie set in New Orleans sounds awesome to me man
It’s literally only dead pool that is a low part for me. If it was the exact same character but a different name, far less people would be hating on it.
This quote is part of a poem written by Gandalf who wrote it within a letter to Frodo. In the first of the trilogy books of the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring! “All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.”
He actually just broke out of the comics and moved to LA to become an actor and play himself under the stage name Ryan Reynolds. Don’t tell anyone, it’s a secret.
The actual comics USED Ryan Reynolds as a mold for when The DEADPOOL creators had seen Ryan in the show "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" before that while they wrote him in a similar way he wasn't as he is after they seen Ryan on TV and were like "WOW this guys perfect for the part!" So when the movie in Wolverine came out he was the main choice for the role. He was a major fan of the comics also and so they cast him. This caused him to take a life long grudge against the people who messed up the role in the Wolverine movie.
This is because modern day deadpool is loosely based in Ryan Reynolds to the point its mentioned that he deadpool looks like Ryan in the comics and in his game deadpool says he’s upset that they couldn’t get Ryan to voice him
Gambit was my favorite X-men from the animated series from the 90’s. His look, powers and cool factor are off the charts for me. I have always wanted more Gambit and his story would be great on the big screen.
The abandoned nuclear power plant in the movie is supposed to be Three Mile Island. In the real world, the Three Mile Island power plant had a meltdown - the only American nuclear power plant to have a serious accident. The incident there scared people so much that it seriously helped to create the modern phobia against nuclear power.
13:3337:0938:04 I believe Kayla's tacto-hypnosis doesn't work on Logan or Victor bcos of their healing factor. Her power is biological (since it requires physical contant), not mental/ psychic, so their healing factor gives them immunity against her power.
In the New Orleans scene . Remy Lebeau .. Is a character that later joins the X-men ( in the comics ) Under the name of Gambit. Powers Kinectic Manipulation . He charges his cards with Kinetic energy which explode on impact with their target. He's also Rogues Future love interest .
It is really cool to see you having a good time with these origin stories, despite certain character depictions and some timeline issues that will show up later, this is still quality script writing and storytelling, without all the agendas and narratives that seem to plague movie production today.
This is one of those movies that I like more now than when I first saw it. When it was first released I thought it was just "ok". But now I really enjoy the dynamic between Logan and his brother (which is Sabretooth btw). The biggest problem was the treatment of this version of Deadpool, which thankfully is fixed in the Deadpool movies.
I acc really liked the version of Sabretooth we got in this film tbh, even tho it kinda retcons the first X-Men film. The relationship between them in this film is a great way to explain their rivalry 45:57. Plus, I think it's cool that Victor/ Sabretooth runs like a werewolf.
Doesn't retcon the first film, Logan has no memories, but Victor does. Besides, really all that's established is they don't like each other in that film. Nothing about this changes that.
@@toreyzyre Also, the longer hair and black eyes Victor has in the first film may be a secondary mutation like Beast had due to Victor embracing "the animal" to the point his features became more catlike. There`s also a deleted scene on the first X-Men Film DVD where Sabretooth looks at Logan`s dogtags with sadness before giving them to Magneto.
It intresting that the metal Stryker was looking for was actually Vibranium (from Black Panther). Adamantium is actually a Vibranium and steel alloy made when you mix the two. Once harden, adamanium will never melt again, which is the reason it must stay boiling until it ready to be set. Adamantium is actually stronger and more dense then Vibranium, but it loses it other properties that make Vibranium valuable, like the abilitiy to absorb kenetic energy and it's light weight.
I always liked this movie. My only complaint was they seemed to be introducing too many new characters to set themselves up for the future. I'm glad Ryan decided there was a different story to be told for Deadpool and went with it because they kinda dropped the ball with it in this movie.
It WASN'T actually Deadpool though, it was just a mutant with the same name and personality that ended up getting screwed over by Stryker and turned into Weapon 11. Therefore, the ball wasn't dropped in anyway.
In fact in, the first X-Men movie, Logan is more than 160 years old. He was born around 1835. In the movie "Logan" he's almost 200yo. 😮 Enough to see 3 or 4 family pass away and to suffer from evetything.
Hey Alex! Just in case, this is the official release order! Please watch all 13. I love these movies so much and would love to see you react to the not-so-great ones too.🙏🏾 You’re the best 1. Deadpool (2016) 9. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) 10. Logan (2017) 11. Deadpool 2 (2018) 12. Dark Phoenix (2019) 13. The New Mutants (2020)
@@tiago9977 Same here. Now imagine how much people can enjoy it if they come in not knowing anything about Deadpool or the continuity errors. My wife for example, says this is her favorite of all the X-men films other than Days of Future Past. She never read any comics except Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Maxx.
The Adamantium covers his bones and bone claws. I heard that in one of the comics, his healing factor managed to change the Adamantium and is able to regrow it if something powerful enough manages to damage it. And yes they butchered Deadpool in this movie
Just remember that the X-Men movies are full of a lot of soft reboots. Much like the comics, same characters different stories. So this Deadpool is not the same as the later Deadpool. I'm not far enough to know if you realize, but Logan's brother is Sabretooth (The really hairy guy from the OG trilogy).
I forget how the name Logan came about, but Wolverine's given name is James Howlett. And they went weird by making Sabertooth and Wolverine brothers in this movie. Likely to "explain" why both of them have accelerated healing, though. Edit: Dude with the lightbulbs in his trailer doesn't USE electricity, homie. His power is powering electrical devices. When they killed the elevator at the start, he's the one that started it back up. That's why his carnival game is "turn off the light", because he's just using his powers to keep it on. Likewise, the train, all the little toys, the lightbulbs, all his powers. That's why when Victor showed up, they all died, because he lost the slightest concentration it took to keep them powered.
Wolverines real name is James Howlet after the death of father he went on the run. And changed his name to James Logan, Logan for short. Logan got his nickname Wolverine during his cage fighting days. Because of his animalistic personality and short size, Logan's "5.4" in the comics. Victor Creed Logan's "brother" is his arch nemesis Sabertooth and in the comics. Wolverine and Sabertooth aren't brothers, Creed hates Logan because he killed his actual brother.
I love this movie, it's just perfect to me because it gave me everything I wanted out of a Wolverine Origin movie... Also Gambit is great and I hope he gets more love... Somehow
@@RobertDoomsdayVasquez there’s also a rumour that the movie will be about deadpool having to kill the entire fox universe for the tva. Apparently Affleck’s Dardevil, the og fantastic four, most of the x men and more will be in it.

Gosh I can’t wait for the next 2 reactions of this franchise. X-men first class is my highest rated comic book movie of all time, I just love it so much
I've watched it a few times over the years and, whilst flawed, it's grown on me with each viewing. The Deadpool stuff was odd, but otherwise pretty solid, with just the right amount of X-Men cheese.
In the comics, Blob is one of Magneto's "Brotherhood of Evil Mutants" to include Mystique, Pyro, Spiral, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch (both Magneto's kids), Toad, Rogue (and others). Rogue switches sides, however, and gains the ability to fly by touching Captain Marvel too long.
At first it didn't bother me what they did with Deadpool in this movie. I didn't know much at all about him and Deadpool didn't exist in the comics when this team (Wolverine, Sabretooth, Wraith, Blob, etc.) were together. That being said, once I saw the Deadpool movies, I understood why people were upset. Ryan Reynolds didn't like what they did to Deadpool in this movie, so he wanted to do it justice. He also said that Deadpool would never have been a project that he'd have taken on if it wasn't for this movie. So, I guess by them messing up so badly on Deadpool created the path for the great Deadpool movies that Ryan Reynolds gave birth to. I love this movie!
A bar near me has that on a sign. It's from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. See below. 'All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.' A true modern poet. He might even be the last great poet. That was his dream -- beyond language, of course -- and you can feel it through his novels.
Ngl, I was *significantly* more invested/ interested in Wolverine's relationship w/ Kayla in this film than I *ever* was of his relationship w/ Jean tbh - the first 3 X-men films would've been *considerably* better w/out the love triangle subplot imo. Plus, Kayla is such an great character 14:0836:15, & she has a badass power lol 43:20.
I have NOT been able to wait for this one. Every time I get a notification from you I hope it's this movie and now it finally is. I've spending the day with the family so I'll have to throw this on the tv tonight but I can't wait. Happy 4th of July Alex and everyone else!
SO when I first saw this, I pinned all my hatred on the entire movie cause of the 'Deadpool' they used. Having sat and watched your review made me remember how good this movie really was. It's what made me fall in love with the Logan/Wolverine character.
Good video as always my man. This movie was not well received when it first came out, but I maintain it has some entertainment value. Also, 20:53 "homelander's gooch".
I think it’s a solid movie (origins wolverine) that a lot of people don’t like though. A good origin movie in my opinion that a lot of people don’t appreciate. Edit: it would be a lot better movie if it wasn’t for the botched Deadpool. The real Deadpool movie is so much better and truly genuine to the character.
@@TheDeadskinmask23 I will say that watching it again it is much better than I remember, but yeah, the Deadpool... oof. Sucks about Gambit, though. He could have been used again, and never was.
I enjoy all the X-Men movies but at the same time, I really hate them. Not only Deadpool in this but I don't think they should have made Logan and Victor brothers. In one timeline (X-Men Forever), Victor is his father but that's the closest relation they ever had. I've read a good majority of X-Men comics and this movie took some things from Team X and used Wolverines actual backstory but replaced characters.
Honestly, I don't like the Deadpool movies and think that Reynolds was badly cast. So from that point of view, what they did in this movie was actually a good thing. 😅
This movie, while (in my opinion) leaves me with the same feeling I get when I have to empty the trash but someone over filled it with stuff that should have gone into the compost, is very very important. They cast Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and so incredibly, epically destroyed the character that it caused him to go on a ten year mission to create an accurate Deadpool movie. Can't wait for you to get to Deadpool 2 😂
@@skylersimpson4692 Not really. And clearly many do care what they did to Deadpool, seeing as how his comment has 55 likes and yours has none with only an hour difference between posting. Obviously people cared though. He is one of the most beloved marvel character's ya dingus, and this movie absolutely ruined him.
@@aaronsandman749 It totally did a horrible job representing him, but I would argue there's a whole lot of movie here outside of the brief Deadpool scenes at the end. I didn't like how they portrayed him in those final scenes either, but for some reason I can't explain, I still seem to be able to enjoy the movie. It's weird... almost like... one has a choice how to react to the world around them, and I've chosen to be positive.
@robertreichle1 Hey, I love Waterworld and the old live action Mario Brothers. You like what you like, if you enjoy this movie, f*ck it, enjoy it, you know? _I_ very much do not enjoy this movie lol, but that's me. Now I'll just wait for the backlash to admitting I like that Mario Bros movie
Fred Duke's ability in this movie is that he's pretty much indestructible. That's why he was able to go fist to fist with Wolverine. In the comics his powers are more complicated
You didn't think Logan could regenerate at this point? How did you think he survived the FIRING SQUAD AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE! 😊 Only Wolverine's bones are indestructible, his skin, flesh, and muscles are still normal. No, not the same Deadpool. By the way, if you haven't seen Deadpool 1 or 2, hint, hint, you should.
So when this came out into the theaters . There was a screener version that floated around with the unfinished copy. in the Scene with Reynolds it showed the cables he was connected to as well as green screen and fake claws from Wolverine. it was great. I wonder if there is still a copy around.
HOMELANDERS GOOCH!! I was literally saying to myself as you were talking before the pop-up appeared that you are literally describing The Boys and need to watch it. It’s SO up your alley Alex you’ll LOVE it.
I love that even movies with nothing but negativity surrounding them, you just sit back, and enjoy them for what they are. That to me is what movies are all about. I hate what they did to deadpool in this movie, but I still love this movie. Just because something isnt a cinematic masterpiece doesnt mean it cant be entertaining and fun to watch. Great reaction. 👍
Just make sure to turn the brain off, and ignore the awful version of Deadpool, the bad CGI, and cheesy writing. Glad that future, alternate Deadpool took care of this movie.
Glad you liked it. As a Wolverine fan from the comics, I hated how much they screwed things up. 1) Wolverine and Sabertooth (Victor) are not brothers in the comics (I have the issue where a blood test confirmed they weren't related). Tho it kinda works in the movies. 2) The Weapon X program in the comics was much more shady and secretive. Stryker wasn't apart of it. The "proffessor" running it knew Logan was a mutant, but not that he had bone claws. Also at the time, Logan had been working as a cop in Canada. 3) The love interest he remembers as an Native American girl he lived with in a log cabin and victor kills her on Logan's birthday. (Tho this is later revealed to most likely be a false memory implant. The girl ends up eventually becomming a leader of Hydra I believe. I do like parts. But as a whole, very unsatisfying knowing how much better it could have been. And don't get me started on how badly they screwed up Deadpool. The ONLY thing they got right is he was a mercenary with a mouth who did work with Logan way back when. He was not a mutant. He is given Wolverine's healing abilities later by the Weapon plus program...but you'll see that more accurate take when you get around to watching Deadpool.
I could list everything wrong with the X-Men movies but it would probably be quicker to list what they got right. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the movies but I still hate so much of it too. This movie took pieces from Team X but included Wolverines actual backstory but replaced Dog (his actual brother) with Sabertooth.
Gambit has been my favorite Marvel character since I was a little kid. Not so much this version, but the badass from the 90s/2000s. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was EXTREMELY relieved that Channing Tatum's Gambit movie never happened.
Fun fact : Even though they don't show it, Wolverine feels the pain everytime his claws come out. So even though he can heal up, he still physically feels the pain like 'normal' whatever normal is in their case 😂
Ryan Reynolds hated what they did with the Deadpool character in this movie and warned the studio, that fans wouldn't approve. He was right. And if I recall correctly that was his motivation and idea to make a proper Deadpool movie that all started with a trailer.
The best "independent non sanctioned" trailer ever made.
and they also ruined Gambit as well and to never seen again either just like all the other side characters shown in the X-men movies

The opening for this movie is still quite solid
I'd love a movie about Wolverine through the ages and all the wars he's been in
if the film had lived up to the intro this would have been up there with 'LOGAN'
I’d say it’s one of the best openings in a CMB to this day.
Again, the Opening, nothing else.
True. This is the best short film I ever saw really wish it was longer than 30 minutes tho lol

Because it was revealed that Logan's real name is actually James Howelett in the comicbooks

I just realized that Taylor Kitch (Gambit) and Lynn Collins (the girlfriend/Silver Fox) also did John Carter of Mars together. Love them!
Great movie. Very underrated.
They could beat the axis all on there own
victor is also known as sabretooth. he was also in the 1st xmen movie as the big hairy dude with magneto, just a different actor.
“Maybe a nuke or a missile could kill him”
Ahaha… well in a comic of Wolverine it was shown that mere moments after being blown up by a nuke he had already regenerated from ash to his flesh and was standing there claws out.
I so would have loved the gambit movie, he has been one of my favorites since he was introduced
@@sparkymist Well, now we're about to get Tatum's Gambit in Deadpool 3.
@@denshaotoko42 for real?
@@sparkymist Tatum was spotted in England where they're shooting deadpool 3
Fun fact: Deadpool knew as soon as Ryan Reynolds was initially contacted by MARVEL/Fox/whatever about the role. He immediately made a joke in a comic book that he looked like Ryan Reynolds if he was bitten by a radioactive shar-pei or something like that. Reynolds himself likes to tell the story that it was actually the first Deadpool comic he has ever read, and he randomly opened it up to see his own name. IDK if that's made up, but it sounds like fate
Gambit is literally my favorite XMen character. I love how he was included in this and I wish they put him in more movies
I wish he had been done better in this movie.
@@passionsquietrageHow did yall like Deadpool & Wolverine?

Gambit was so good in X-Men 97!
Fun Fact - Adamantium is a metalic alloy made by mixing melted Vibranium and Steel together, then set to form into a new metallic alloy, "Adamantium."
So they were searching for a Vibranium rock at the beginning and found more of the Vibranium rock in Africa or Wakanda
Magneto is unable to control Vibranium, but he can control Adamantium
Also, Adamantium can be only damaged/destroyed from extreme high temperatures
- Cyclops did not meet Professor X like he did here
- Gambit became an X-Men later and was romantically involved with Rogue
- This Deadpool is not the same as the one in the Deadpool movie.
There's more but that's the highlights.
And I’m assuming Victor calls him Jimmy short for his real name ?
Also (IN) the Original X-Men Movie**
Fred Dukes**

Sabertooth is not Logan's brother in the comics

"Because I'm the best I am at what I do, and what I do is not very nice."
At least according to Chris Claremont in the opening lines of Wolverine #1.
I'm sad channing tatums gambit movie got canceled he seems so passionate about the character and everything I heard about the gambit movie script sounded super cool like a rated R mutant Goodfellow movie set in New Orleans sounds awesome to me man
@@NadeemShekh-uy9zn The idea behind the film was good but I wasn’t fond of the casting.

it stresses me out a little lol because i feel like sometimes he lacks common sense (and i mean that respectfully).
You missed the biggest line of the movie…”I’m Canadian!”
i think someone might have said it, but Victor, AKA Sabertooth is supposed to be "eyebrows" from the first Xmen film. the one who helped Magneto.
Besides how they ruined Deadpool I actually really love this movie so much and it's one of my favorite X-Men movies it's so much fun
Same. I also still have the video game for the ps3 and play it every now and again. Plus I’m hyped for the new Insomniac Wolverine game
The Wolverine Origins video game is one of, if not the best movie tie-in game there is.
It’s literally only dead pool that is a low part for me. If it was the exact same character but a different name, far less people would be hating on it.
You're allowed to love terrible things. To this day Guyver is still one of my favorite movies -- it's god awful.
@@xackwerley9184I had that game too!! But i got me the wii version 😂
I also liked the smooth transitions between the different wars. Slick.
“Not all who wander are lost” is a Tolkien quote 😊
This quote is part of a poem written by Gandalf who wrote it within a letter to Frodo. In the first of the trilogy books of the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring! “All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.”
It's funny how Beast thought Wolverine was young but Wolverine was born in the 1800s
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is somehow a perfect combination of "born to play the character" and somehow also "only ever plays ONE character."
He looks like a weasel.
Logan is James Howlett. Victor Creed is Sabretooth from X-Men
The abandoned nuclear power plant in the movie is supposed to be Three Mile Island. In the real world, the Three Mile Island power plant had a meltdown - the only American nuclear power plant to have a serious accident. The incident there scared people so much that it seriously helped to create the modern phobia against nuclear power.
13:33 37:09 38:04 I believe Kayla's tacto-hypnosis doesn't work on Logan or Victor bcos of their healing factor. Her power is biological (since it requires physical contant), not mental/ psychic, so their healing factor gives them immunity against her power.
Its shown many times it works on Logan
It does work on Logan but not always
I just noticed that when deadpool teleports you can see his adamenteum skeleton
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid. Can't wait to see your reaction!
Liev Schreiber actually studied lions at zoos for Sabretooth`s runs and feral, sociopathic "big game cat" stares.

Logan is the surname of his actual biological father. He started using it as an alias
Victor is Sabretooth from the first X-Men movie. The one Logan fought on top of the Statue of Liberty.

I love how you're doing the X-Men movies now. This one is definitely one of my favorites
See below.
'All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.'
A true modern poet. He might even be the last great poet. That was his dream -- beyond language, of course -- and you can feel it through his novels.
As long as you’re willing to put up with some continuity issues and not hold the films TOO strictly to one, this series is pretty sick!
And as Dr Jean Grey told professor X on first X Men movie, Logan/James’s entire skeleton is laced with adamantium as what his 6 claws are also

@@vanguardoffreedom20 If that's your take, good for you.
Its not a good movie.
It's amazing how many questions he asks about stuff that was already answered before in the movie.
I'll always say xmen origins was an awsome movie. It has its flaws but it's got its amazing moments!
15:26 That wasn't a beheaded wolf. That was the head of a wolverine.
The Deadpool no one wanted or loved. Thank God the fixed it all and made the REAL Deadpool later on.
Gambit has been my favorite Marvel character since I was a little kid. Not so much this version, but the badass from the 90s/2000s.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who was EXTREMELY relieved that Channing Tatum's Gambit movie never happened.
Great reaction Alex!
Love your X-Men reactions.
Next one: The Wolverine
Next one is First Class, then The Wolverine.
@@BackstreetBorz correct!
Zero is played by the guy who does Tadashi Hamada in Big Hero 6, one of the other guys is Will I Am
You are one hilarious person. Thank you so much for these marvel videos and others. I hope you and your wife have a wonderful Fourth of July.
"Probably a nuke could kill him"
Oh buddy you just wait
Fun fact : Even though they don't show it, Wolverine feels the pain everytime his claws come out. So even though he can heal up, he still physically feels the pain like 'normal' whatever normal is in their case 😂
Even explicitly stated it in the first movie
They literally say in this movie "he feels pain like any of us".
