    The integrated power supply is nice, and that really gets overlooked and underappreciated. The design is nice too, very sleek. I have my current monitor calibrated to 100nits in a decently lit room, so I don't think that the lower brightness in SDR would bother me at all, much above that gives me eye strain after a few hours.

    Great video! Now for people that are in the market for large UW OLED monitors have the choice between this X45 or the LG 45GR95QE. I personally think the 45GR95QE edges out a little due to the fact it has HDMI 2.1 for those people that have consoles alongside their gaming PC. Other than that they're both are so similar in specs. decisions decisions!

      Did he not say the X45 came with 2 hdmi 2.1 ports? Along with usb c/display port (which 45GR95QE) doesn’t have. Plus, if I read correctly above, the X45 has a built in PSU! so I’m not understanding how you came away with the information you have 🤔

    I see it rotates and can adjust height. But does it tilt? What kind of OLED it is? White or QD?

    Does it come with HDMI 2.1 or 2.0? Online specs says that it has the 2.0 version. Also, what’s the length of your desk if you don’t mind me asking? Lastly, does this OLED monitor have a built in speaker? Thanks again for the great video.

    Im curious, I have a g9 neo today and hdr is really popping. But it has to low height, latest firmware that makes hdr work breaks sdr content and makes it to dim. It has mini led yellow bandning and grey lines showing from time to time.
    And most games i play dont support 32:9.
    This one looks awesome but how big difference will it be in brightness for a dark room.

    • @NotebookcheckReviews
      @NotebookcheckReviews  11 месяцев назад

      Damn, that sounds like quite the ordeal!
      As I said in the video, the brightness situation will not be much of a big deal in a "normally" lit room.
      Even in this set, which is mostly my office, it was not a big problem. And if it got too sunny outside, my curtains solved the problem. ;)

    I'm not sure if you monitor these videos anymore, but could you please comment on the anti-glare coating strength on this monitor? I have been looking at it, but if it's as strong as the LG's coating then I just can't do it.

  • @bcoss2
    @bcoss2 10 месяцев назад

    So what do you mean it changes brightness on its own? You can't go in the settings via the monitor or through " In My Case " my M2 Max MacBook Pro, and just set the brightness to full and it stay like that?

    • @lol3ndir
      @lol3ndir 6 месяцев назад

      I think it goes with most of the OLED panels with more white screen you have, the monitor adjusts the brightness at the same time. I saw this on Asus' promotion but you have to turn the option ON to maintain whiteness.

      @@NotebookcheckReviews Thanks for the reply. Yes I indeed play a lot of shooters. Im looking for an ultrawide that I can play somewhat competitively on and to give me immersion in other games. Would you say that this panel is true 240hz? Like would it stack up against the current 34 inch oleds on the market now that are 175hz refresh. I know that pixel per square inch factors into this but I just wanted to know from your experience if it’s a quick response

    The lower PPI is beneficial for people like me with vision issues. I'm sold on the idea of a 45 inch OLED monitor at 3440x1440. I'd be even happier with a 52 to 60 inch display with the same resolution.

    • @NotebookcheckReviews
      @NotebookcheckReviews  6 месяцев назад

      Absolut! Man muss auf jeden Fall daran denken, dass der heimische Schreibtisch groß genug ist. Wenn man von einem höher aufgelösten Monitor kommt, fällt die geringe Auflösung anfangs schon auf, aber ich hab mich schnell dran gewöhnt und für mich persönlich war es kein Nachteil. Ich fand das Teil echt super, und könnte mir das Format auf jeden Fall als Daily Driver vorstellen.

      This is a function that I have on my AOC OLED monitor, it shifts the picture in different directions from the edges by several pixels, preventing burn-in of pixels
      look in the settings, you can turn it off which I don’t recommend

    Argh... that low 84 PPI is a deal breaker. Better off with G9 Oled cheaper and with 110 PPI.
    Edit: Now I am contemplating between 45" vs 39" they said PPI is not really an issue on this size esp for gaming.

    • @RvengePerformance
      @RvengePerformance 7 месяцев назад +2

      I have both and I am returning the 49" G9. While the vertical resolution is the same as the LG/Acer/Corsair 45" oled panels, the height is much lower, to the point I have to run 110 top 115% scaling to be comfortable all day, which makes it just not have enough vertical space. Additionally the shallow curve on the G9 makes me move my head around all day, where the 21:9 45" 800R displays let me eyes go from corner to corner with no issue. Once you use the 45" for a few days it stats to feel like you are "in" the computer instead of working in front of it. Very good for gaming and productivity.

    • @lol3ndir
      @lol3ndir 7 месяцев назад

      @@RvengePerformance Thanks for the input. I realized this as well, my friends have 49" and I noticed that it's smaller than 32". I am here waiting for the 39" (91 PPI) OLED or the 45" LG (84 PPI).
      How about your 45" how's the PPI is it bad or not much? Thank you.

    • @RvengePerformance
      @RvengePerformance 7 месяцев назад

      if you run mactype the fonts look great and it actually strains my eyes less than a 4K 43" dell ips display did. The 39 may be the sweet spot for the PPI that is still readable by people in their 30s and 40s. At the end of the year LG is supposed to release a RGB 45" OLED with something like 5120x2160 which run at 1.25 scaling would probably look awesome.
