@@ThePurringCatStudio I really wouldn’t mind seeing more of these kind of collages 😍. I have all Marta’s books too, but I have like not enough courage to do something with it 😣 I have problems to find the right combinations or placements, so for now, all I’m doing is fussycutting 🤣😂😅

Breathtaking panarama. Love the grove of toadstools. Would not something like that whimsical scene look lovely in a frame. 🌻

Wow , this is gorgeous. As I’ve mentioned before I L❤VE Marta’s book. What a fantastic use of them. Isn’t shuffling things around until all of sudden you think ‘aha’ that’s where it needs to go so much fun. I love the gold highlights. You’ve done a great job. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤❤❤

Wow 🤩 I really love this! I’m a little behind on videos and this was a long one. But I wanted to see these houses and I love how whimsical and beautiful they are. And it’s always in your final touches that take it to the next level. It really has helped me to look at everything I do differently. Like you said, even if it’s a tag. Thinking about shadowing, placement, and highlighting. Your inspiration has been so helpful in my projects. And I thank you so much for that! Hugs ❤️🤗

Oh my goodness, Tamara, thank you so much!. You have no idea how your comment is making me feel so happy right now because I do question those long videos sometimes, and I do question if my subject is helpful in any way so, to read your comment right now brings me a lot of joy. I thank you very much for that. 🧡🌼😊

Hello Chantal… wow… what a beautiful art journal page! I loved the idea of using a landscape scene for the houses, I had thought of using two sizes but adding that third layer really added the extra dimension to the page. I loved the mushrooms as trees in the back and even the large flowers as trees is growing on me from when I first saw them in the book. The success of your story telling page for me was accepting the mouse as living in the biggest house. I don’t do rodents, bugs, insects, creepy, crawly things or any of that but… you really made it a believable scene for a fairy tale world. Great Job!
I only have one wooden boxed set of Derwent colored pencils - Lightfast. They were really expensive but I rarely use them. I tend to have full set syndrome and so that defect =) can get pretty costly when it comes to artist grade supplies. Most of my colored pencils are in pencil cases that hold up to 120 pencils, most are canvas but my Caron d’Ache are in leather cases. Anyway… the wood case seemed like a treat at the time but I wouldn’t do it again. I liked using the Inktense pencils but they certainly have a learning curve to them since you really can’t move them very much once they’ve dried. I was actually surprised when Marta (and then you) were using them for shading although - using them on a non-porous surface like the clear gesso gives extra wiggle room. For shading I like using Faber Castell PITT pens, usually the Big Brush Markers - they have India Ink in them so they too become permanent once dry but there’s time to smudge them. I prefer just a subtle shadow and sometimes like when I’m working with Dylusions products I outline the images and usually don’t do shading.
Well… babbling on again… Thanks for sharing your creativity and inspiration. I’ve been doing some other creative projects lately but will look forward to getting back to my Marta Journal. I actually just found the Arteza 5.5” square journals so that will be lovely to use. Take care and have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Oh my goodness , Sue , I love reading you!
You seem like such an interesting person, and as I can read, you really know your arts and crafts products.
Yes, and I could not resist the wooden box.I love wooden boxes of all kinds.Which is why I have this old cigar box that I store items in for crafting and if I see a wouldn't box, I have to have it. And of course , I'm trying not to anymore because it's too much and they're not cheap, 😆.
As usual, thank you so much for taking the time to write to me.I really enjoyed reading you.Have a great day!🧡🌼🤗
