As a Blink, I have endured several bad covers of Blackpink's music because they are not an easy group to cover. Their songs are VERY tailored to each member of Blackpink and the reason why the covers usually fail is because the people covering it try to replicate what can't be replicated, by design. Having said that, this cover is AMAZING! And the reason why, outside of the amazing talent of these girls, is because they didn't try to replicate. They took an iconic song that would ALWAYS be compared to the original and decided to switch it up completely and make it their own. And THAT'S how you make a Blackpink cover. Thank you for this. Loved it.

JYP has no choice but to show everything because their debut song was not everyone's cup of tea. They would never let these girls go flop and what everyone's saying when their song didn't chart well... but them showing how good they are doesn't make other rookies less talented. Definitely. As a blink, most of the blackpink covers aren’t really “good” personally but NMIXX and Pentagon really made it their style, which is what made their covers justice to the song

JYP has no choice but to show everything because their debut song was not everyone's cup of tea. They would never let these girls go flop and what everyone's saying when their song didn't chart well... but them showing how good they are doesn't make other rookies less talented. A lot of rookies from IVE to Kep1er, everyone is just too talented. I hope NMIXX comes back with a more pleasing song.
